This song should be the theme song for every bullying campaign. It tells the truth .. touches the soul .. breaks the heart .. breathes the need for compassion.

I got bullied a lot in school cause of the fact that I have epilepsy and would have seizures at school. This song makes me think about how those kids were so mean to me and would bully me for something I couldn't control. And I had no one to defend me and it got to the point I started defending myself by getting in fist fights when they'd mock me. (but I was the one always suspended) so I just dropped out of school in the 10th grade cause I couldn't take it no more. I've had epilepsy since I was 11months old and still have it.

as someone who was bullied and teased as a kid for my weight and shyness, this song really hits home.

I have always loved Mark Wills. Here's a cool story about him. He came to Louisiana probably 20 plus years ago for Shriners Hospital for Children to do a celebrity golf tournament. My boss at the time was a big golfer and he was teamed up with Mark to play. So, when he and Mark got to hang out for a bit, my boss called me and Mark sang Places I've Never Been to me on the phone. A memory I will never forget...(you should do a reaction video to that song too). Such a nice guy. BTW, Hello.....it's been a long time since I've commented, but I always watch the videos. :)

I have cerebral palsy so growing up I could definitely agree with this. Kids can be cruel

Jacob Herriks you have done it again young man!
You took me back to a few places….
Back to my childhood when I was awkward and in a new school every few years…
Remembering my child being medi-vaced to a hospital 700 miles away and trading my car for the airfare to charter my wife out so she could be with our 14 month old baby.
Finally watching my kids grow up and trying to install confidence and struggling with letting them find their own way…..
You made me fetch a tissue but even though some of the memories are painful or bring back the feeling of helplessness they are a part of our lives and we can and should learn the lessons and apply them later as well as continually in our lives.
Don as usual a spot on reaction!

This song was written by Steve Seskin and Allen Shamblin, two of the all-time great country songwriters. Mark Wills nailed the delivery!

I was somewhere around 6th grade or so when I first heard this song. I was the kid who everyone bullied in grade school and this song hit hard. And I ended up getting bullied even more because people could tell I liked the song.

Love this song, Jacob and Don nail it again. Don, I’d love to get your reaction to Aaron Watson’s “Trying Like the Devil.”

Great great song. Why do we have to find enjoyment from someone else’s pain? We all have shortcomings. Let’s work on building each other up instead of tearing down!

Mark had a big radio hit late in the 90's with this single. The original version was a pop/AC flavored ballad: I much prefer the acoustic approach of this clip.
I definitely enjoy this song and its sharp and heartfelt songwriting, although I prefer other "social commentary"-type tunes from the 90's:
"Cafè on the corner" - Sawyer Brown
"Ships that don't come in" - Joe Diffie
"Feed Jake" - Pirates of the Mississippi (I think you already reacted to this one)

Absolutely love this song, always have; however, we won't ALL have "perfect wings". Unless we surrender everything to God, receive salvation, there are those who will spend eternity in Hell.

I never made fun of people. So wrong & its not funny. And I wouldn't let anyone do it either.
