Quilldren have been feasting these past few months with all these Ike releases. Bless the Ike Eveland🙏🏽💙 As for the lyrics, yeah the writer is a japanese producer. Ike got the oppertunity to work with his idol and favourite producer, Muryoku-P. He produces a lot of vocaloid music. This song has been in the works since around March last year. Muryoku-P reached out to Ike's manager and asked about collabing for this song. Of course Ike said yes! Muryoku-P produced the song, did the lyrics and mixing, and Ike used his lovely voice to bring it to life. Getting the chance to create an original song with a producer you admire is surely a dream come true. I know it would be for me🤩
A little funfact/story because it's too precious not to tell: Ike has been a huge fan of MuryokuP (a Vocaloid producer and the lyricist and producer for Maze) for quite some time and sang his song Aspirin on his first karaoke - which inspired MuryokuP to produce vocaloid again after a long break. Ike has been so exited on twitter when the first song after the break dropped and MuryokuP has retweeted Ike's covers and original and complimented Ike for singing his songs in karoke streams, so it's really cool that they got to work on a song toghether
Amazing reaction once again! Thank you for the breakdown. If you didn't know, Ike covered Aspirin by Muryokup in his first karaoke and it inspired the producer to come back to making vocaloid music again after years of being away from that kind of music, the first result being a song called Isolation that Ike sang in his 2nd karaoke. The two of them have quite the history but it's still insane for everyone that MuryokuP would actually contact Ike and want to write a song for him. And it's such a banger song too!
The fact that this song not only has such wild story of how it came to be but has also been in the works since before ike even released his first cover which was over a year ago makes it so much more amazing
i loooove muryoku-p's instrumentation style on this one, it feels so grand and epic with the tubular bells and choral backing and strings (+ i know you're aware that ike releases mix breakdowns for channel members and it multiplied my appreciation of this song 100x, along with the insights you gave!) a song he has with similar-ish instrumentation is 'isolation', which ike has also covered in a karaoke before! isolation particularly shows ike's vocal range so well, even considering it's the 2nd to the last song he sang in a while karaoke stream
Great reaction as always! Thanks to you I notice new stuff I didn't hear at first and I enjoy the song even more after watching your reaction :) If you want to check out something different I highly recommend S.I.U cover by Miyashita Yuu, I would love to hear what you have to say abt him.
I would just like to bring up that in the future if you are watching a Japanese video it never hurts to try to turn on CC to see if there are English captions. I know this one has it, and there may be other songs that you react to that could be helpful for when analyzing lyrics and music :) Of course, your focus tends to be on the audio/mixing side of things rather than lyrical interp, but I thought it might be good for your as someone who doesn't understand Japanese lol. Also I know a lot of people have already mentioned how MuryokuP did the instrumental work on this song, but I do really appreciate your deep dive into the instrumental. Unlike some of his other songs, there isn't a mix breakdown member stream (at least not from Ike's end, and my JP is very mid at best so idk if I'd understand MuryokuP talking about it), so it is great to hear some of the focal points of the mix from someone with a more trained ear than mine. I never noticed the sustained synth you kept bringing up and some of the details of the choir. I never noticed the bells on this song, I wonder what type they are. Ike has mentioned on stream before that he has the very obscure fear of church bells, but he's fine with tubular bells. Idk if MuryokuP knew this when making the song though lmao Regardless, your reaction helped give me a new appreciation for the instrumental. As per usual, great reaction my dude and I appreciate your mixing/instrumental insight. You really deserve more recognition than the algorithm gives you. Keep it up man
Thank you so much for the kind words, and it makes me extremely happy to know my commentary can give you insight and appreciation towards the song! And thank you for reminding me about the CC. I try to check when they're available, but sometimes it slips my mind, haha. I hope to keep making videos you can enjoy! :)

I'm happy for Ike! Both him and muryoku-p did an incredible job!
I am stuck in a maze trying to find WHY HE IS SO GOOD AT SINGING

I'm glad they were able to work together, that must have been incredible for both of them!
