If anyone’s interested there’s a fantastic book called Professor Moriarty: The Hound Of The D’Urbervilles about the professor’s criminal empire and adventures
I've always found it fascinating that Moriarty barely appeared in his single appearance (well, OK, one of two appearances), yet he not only became regarded as Holmes' arch-enemy, but became the archetypical arch-enemy for all others to follow. I don't know how many times I've heard a character described as, "the Moriarty to [insert hero here]'s Holmes". Thanks for talking about his humble beginnings, I think too few people today realise the mastery it took to plant such a seed of potential in that original appearance.
The best Moriarty is clearly, Ratigan! Oh Ratigan!! The world’s greatest criminal mind!
Would you believe I put in that disclaimer specifically for you?
@@katecastreviews4639 I’m honored 😆
