These people in the comments must be special it's clearly a demonstration of how the anchor works in the ground where you can't normally see, it's called a crosscut demonstration duh smh
@averageglockenjoyer that "CINDER BLOCK" is not concrete. That block will fail under the weight of a car. And I'm old enough to know about the meterials presented in this video. PLEASE don't report me for Cyber bullying..... it happens to me alot!
For heavy duty/ loading, Air brick insertions are strengthened by a special injected product , but you will need professional advice as the product is rapid setting. Interesting video why do they show the destruction of the hole when removing this type of anchor? There should be a better explanation in the comments by the experts.
Thanks for the demonstration! I understand that this is a cross-cut, so hence the chipping. When done using a proper hole, would you expect similar chipping to happen inside? Brick or concrete? Thanks!
The bricks at mine must be only about as strong as that breeze block because these don’t tighten just crumble the brick and pull out like it does in this cross cut on soft block 😅
Steel Toggle anchors or T anchors can work on hollow brick. For a longer anchors there’s 1/2” X 12” wedge anchors as well as larger diameter wedge depending on how much strength you need and what your walls can support. Red Head concrete fasteners is a good place to look.
So is it supposed come off like that or no? I thought you’d tried different ways to anchor it but after the third time I realized the clip was on loop😂
Perhaps if you use it correctly and not expect full locking potential with half a hole drilled on the side of a slab of concrete. Good try anyway, and a very bad analogy.
While 99.99% of what this channel post is trash. This video is simply showing you what's going on inside when you tighten the nut down. Obviously, it'll never hold with one side of it exposed. But again, it's showing what's happening inside

You aint seen nothing yet. Dumb people could reach levels of stupidity so great, you'll be impressed 😂
Exactly what i needed! I was wondering how concrete bolts "gripped" to the concrete. Thank you!
These anchors work great if the hole is intact
Work even better if they're not in breeze block like here cause that shits soft anyway could chisel that bolt out with a pencil in 15 minutes
@@eives44or karrati chop your way thru it.
Love an intact hole 😊
These anchors work good when used properly
OP must be losing faith in humanity after looking at these comments.
Thanks for the demonstration!
this video basically cleared most of my questions and its so simple and short
How strong a CINDER BLOCK is NOT..?
@@nobiden3134when it's surrounded on all sides by concrete it's stronger but this was cut in half so you can see it.. not very smart are you?
@averageglockenjoyer smarter than you! I guarantee it.. you don't get what I'm saying... ill let you stew on it.
@@nobiden3134 you have to be a little smart cause of your name but sounding like you're the same age as him

This trick would work if you were mounting something to a wall where the weight force was perpendicular to the hole.
so will it work with a pull up bar gym?
@@curacaoz2875going to try this myself. How did it go for you ?
To do this video properly, we need someone to invent transparent concrete ..... 😋
I'm on it! However...I'm gunna a crew of 6 to stand around and watch me
should i only use these in the floor? I was going to use them to mount a hose reel on brick.
You can use an anchor for that. We use them every day to hang pipes from the ceiling.
These types of anchors don’t come out (easily) so this would be a more permanent solution, these work great in the field

What type of anchor is that
Expansion sleeve bolt.

Depends on the stiffness of the material. There is a comment here of a guy saying his brick is soft because it chipped his bricks.
The bricks at mine must be only about as strong as that breeze block because these don’t tighten just crumble the brick and pull out like it does in this cross cut on soft block 😅
Thts no breeze block thats thermablock shouldnt be using anchors in them , I understand this is a demo but just incase anyone tries it
I have 4 inch hollow brick layer over the regular brick-cement wall. How can I fix my split AC on such a wall. Anchor bolts are not that long.

itw red head to be exact
So doesn't work at all?
lmao! I was like...yeah that's not supposed to happen
Imagino que funciona, pero sin romperlo para que lo veamos
Don't think anchor applies in this case. 😅
Not when it’s on the edge of something, wtf?
You're getting a cross section to show what's happening inside .... how did you expect it to work 😂 did you think this was in xray vision
Grande😊
I have used it but it was too strong
😂😂😂
Misguiding video. The hole is partial for creating the video, thereby the concrete provides very little retaining force for the anchor.
Wow
So is it supposed come off like that or no? I thought you’d tried different ways to anchor it but after the third time I realized the clip was on loop😂
It’s a cross cut to show you how it works. The real hole won’t be exposed like that so it will tighten.
😂I hate how Shorts do that..
This is the wrong meterial for that bolt. The whole thing is dumb and dumber.
The man he not fix half the hole for screw.
soooooo, put some Epoxy in there before and then do it and hope for the best or what?
That one its bad i got out XD
Missing half the support lol
Этот анкер отлично работает в бетоне, а не в гозоблоке да ещё и усечённое отверстие.
Hello does it work on the hollow part of cinder blocks?
That’s not meant for concrete that’s for masonry

It's called a demo. So you can see what happens inside. This is a cross cut for demo purposes.
It’s beyond your understanding
Millenials...lol
(not a builder at all btw)
but wont anchor be better when seated as the concrete sets? because its gonna be wearing away inside out by the looks of it
Also that’s a sleeve anchor ment for masonry not concrete. Wedge anchor or epoxy anchor works best
Who in the right mind have half hole drill. Works great if the hole is a hole.
What was the point of that !? 😂
😲😱
Por eso es que salen tan fácil de algunas paredes. Debería poner tacos de madera u otro tipo de material para poner expansores. 🙂
Wow, that is terrible
How
So what?
