Thanks for sharing Fred. That is a decent mobile radio for sure. It seems like the Cb market is being flooded with lots of radios lately.

Hi Andy. Hope your well. Yes lots of AM / FM radios but very few SSB and no base stations.

I have got the CRT Alpha (same as Anytone AT500m) great radio for the money. Good sensitivity and can easily be expanded to 24-30mhz with upto 15w FM / 8w AM (carrier) 👍

Hi Fred, I commented yesterday, but as always seems to happen, my post has disappeared.
What I said was that it is essentially the same as a President, as they are made in the same Anytone factory as them. I did mention the country, and that is maybe the reason for the deletion. They are very easy to convert to 10 and 12 meter bands, with an output of approx 15 Watts.

Hi John. Sorry did not get your comment. No idea why not. Its funny you mention President radios as to me it did handle like one.

@UK-CB-RADIO Yes, I got the JOPIX GS-60 version of it, just to play with. Just change the jumper from 1, 2 to 2, 3. No need to cut the wire. Only trouble is to change range, you need to turn it off and back on again while holding a button down. For the money, they're not bad.
I also bought a Jopix CB-514 handheld. A clone of the President Randy II in a different case. That's even easier to wideband.

@@johnharrison373 you have great taste in radios haha. I have the Cb514 and a CRT Alpha (same as your GS-60) 👍 I did the same mod on the Alpha and it works great. 15 watts get you out quite far and have DX'd with it too.
