In "Celebrating La Fusa" Carme Canela and Jurandir dã Silva revisit the legendary album:
"Vinicius de Moraes in La Fusa with Maria Creuza and Toquinho", recorded in Buenos Aires in 1970.
In this project, Carme Canela and Jurandir Dã Silva offer a new look at this important work that popularized Brazilian music around the world.
The repertoire includes all the classic songs from the original album such as: "Lamento No Morro", "Samba Em Preludio", "Eu Sei Que Vou Te Amar" and "Garota de Ipanema" among others.
With arrangements based on Brazilian folklore such as the Afro-Brazilian rhythm Ijexá or the sound ambience of the traditional Samba de Roda plus a notable influence of jazz, Carme and Jurandir’s interpretations are fresh and inspired. With all this, as well as a profound respect for this master work, they are able to preserve the natural feeling and emotion of the original recording.
