- In "Celebrating La Fusa" Carme Canela and Jurandir Dã Silva revisit the legendary album: "Vinicius de Moraes in La Fusa with Maria Creuza and Toquinho", recorded at the legendary bar "La Fusa" in Buenos Aires in 1970.
In this project, Carme Canela and Jurandir Santana offer a new look at this important work that popularized Brazilian music around the world.
The repertoire includes all the classic songs from the original album such as: "Lamento No Morro", "Samba Em Preludio", "Eu Sei Que Vou Te Amar" and "Garota de Ipanema" among others.
With arrangements based on Brazilian folklore such as the Afro-Brazilian rhythm Ijexá or the sound ambience of the traditional Samba de Roda plus a notable influence of jazz, Carme and Jurandir’s interpretations are fresh and inspired. With all this, as well as a profound respect for this master work, they are able to preserve the natural feeling and emotion of the original recording.
