YES! Big Muff Tones Are FIXED NOW! (Skreddy Pedals P19 Review)

- David Gilmour's big muff tones are hard to get, I admit. Big muffs in the bedroom sound thin, lack presence and if you lower the tone knob, they sound f*kin muddy all the time... Skreddy Pedals FIXED this problem with the BEST big muff in the business in my opinion! From the first note, it sounded AWESOME! Easy to use, EVERY knob sound awesome. Just wow!
In this video I'm demonstrating some of my favorite sounds from this monster.

Done. ❤
This sounds really nice, can you record a comparision between P19 and "normal" big muff reissues? Especially sovtek and ram's head. Thanks!
Just ordered one directly from Mark. Cannot wait.
I had the Pink Flesh, one of the best muff pedals ever made. Skreddy Pedals = great quality
yessss - this sounded absolutely amazing imo.
Think I need one.
Skreddy pedals are gold. I own a Cosmos and an Echo Infinity, and they’re both absolutely glorious. If I could only have one delay pedal, it’d be the Echo Infinity.
Skreddy FTW !! i never had the P19 but some other Skreddy pedals. Marc has created hands down some of the best muff derivates in my opinion! Really love most of the Skreddy Pedals!
I’m just sorry I didn’t get to play this sooner
I love My PI9..... excellent choice. You should try out the Skreddy BC109 too. Amazing pedals
I tried many skreddy pedals but settled on vick audio rams head
Looking forward to The Wall Definitive Tone Guide !!!!
ok im gonna join your patreon cos i love your videos and ive bought all the pedals youve reviewed including all the expensive ones so PLEASE would you make a dedicated video of the flashback delay and the settings
Welcome back! Here’s a great delay video Gavin: ruclips.net/video/0mStqcaD5W4/видео.htmlsi=wUMZ7y5j7GcyM5nV
I have been playing Gilmour/Floyd well over 10 years now and my collection of pedals as I don’t sell things and saw this and then saw your video so thought I would see what you had to say and guess another pedal to be getting.. honestly I know most Floyd songs and love the ones most don’t even care about but should but because you do some good videos and help support you I think I will check out your pateron and Subscribe 👍 been playing for over 20 years and have some old and pedals and going to get this and compare it with my Big Muffs🤘🏻keep up the videos man and keep rocking🤘🏻🎸🤘🏻
Thank you Travis! You are very welcome!
The skreddy bc239 is possibly the closest sound to my 1975 muff I ever heard.
Fabulous. Magnificent playing. But iam happy with my EHX green muff after a compressor , before a camoflange, Neo micro vent, and Jhs unicorn 3:23 before it. The Neo is on my left channel only: blackstar ht5 mk2, right channel is a Marshall dsl5. Also a mr black double chorus in the loop of the blackstar. Lots of movement. Also a stereo delay ping ponging using a dd200. Fills the room! Oh and a squire classic 50s Strat with fender hot noiseless pickups. Really thick sounding compared with my pro2 with its thinner pups. Lots of ways to get in the ball park. But your tone is always exemplary whatever you use. And you playing is on another level. ❤❤❤ love your vids.
thank you!
So glad I stumbled across this channel. Dynamite content. I take my hat off to you sir!
Thank you my Lord Bransty :))
Beautiful tones. I love the trademark Hi-Watt glassy clicky screamy sounds! Would you say that's coming from just the pedal, or is it the way the pedal interacts with the front end of your amp? I'm stuck with a Line 6 modeling amp for now, and while it emulates many of the tonal qualities of a real tube amp, that clicky tube scream is missing and I'm looking for a lazy way to emulate it without buying a new amp!
I can’t be for sure if it’s the pedal or the amp, but I think the pedal would react like this with any amp. Because it’s already very specific, not like a classic EHX big muff
That definitely sounds awesome, my first reaction after seeing the name was that I thought it said “Pig” instead of “P19” so I thought that it could give you his Animals tone but this is just as awesome. Absolutely monstrous tones and I love it, great as always man
LOL, P19, PIG. Never crossed my mind but that's a good one.
Honestly, it's my bad I didn't play some pigs and dogs, but it f*kin nails them! Especially dogs dry solo. It's got that throaty sound on it!
@@mustyguitar Still great though, I’ll look up the pedal for myself because it really does sound awesome
Same muff :)
actually beautifull fuzz sound
I have the Skreddy PigMine. Heavy!
I’ve had one of these for years and won’t get rid of it! You should try the lunar module mini deluxe by them next. That thing has never left my board . It is the time tone at any volume and in any order on your board. Amazing when boosted also.
I’m very interested in Lunar Module too, is there a difference between the mini deluxe or the earlier big unit?
@@mustyguitar not as far as being sought after I don’t think or tone difference. The mini deluxe has a few different controls on it to tame it. It honestly does everything. Muff, fuzz and overdrive. I got one and kept getting new bc109 type pedals for that time tone and just keep going back to it. I’m trying to now not get sucked into new fad pedals. Works amazingly at low bedroom levels also. And a boost in front is amazing. Thanks for making me buy the pastfx TDY and power booster 😂 those demos were brilliant.
@@jdk6584 Actually, the reason I asked is that I love that pedal size. I don't like to use mini or big pedals. The pedal size should be like that xD I'm going to check it out as soon as I can
@@mustyguitar ye it’s the same size as the p19. I’m the same.
idk but i thought the solo for the final cut was in any tongue... any ways i have to ask something... does this muff deal with the lack of eq on either side of spectrum... meaning you an have that nice rams head fizz with some good low end? and do you prefer this over rams head reissue?
I’m not gonna use another big muff for a long time I suppose :) except maybe PastFx Patriarch because it’s got a ton of options for lows and mids for PULSE tones.
@mustyguitar don't you think that MojoHand FX Iron Bell is more useful?
I haven’t used it unfortunately
nice video. When you show the video with the sound is it possible to show the setting you are using on the pedals instead of generic images? Not a complaint at all only a suggestion.
You’re right Keith!
@@mustyguitar I ordered one of these pedals thanks to your excellent demo.
But the first in the flesh during the wall live is snowys guitar.
And with Gibson actually :) I just loved the sound
@@mustyguitar I know its a gibson. its very distinguishable
Iron Bell Fuzz is good too, o kind of P19 brother
Wish I had millions of dollars and nothing to do but just buy pretty pedals for me to try everything
@@mustyguitarI have the iron bell also which is one step better than the P19. You can actually make it your self in kit form.
New strap!
From milady
What amplifier is that?
Laney Cub 12r
Is this replacing the pastfx revolution?
Revolution is a G-2 clone, they are different types of pedals. Maybe on very low gains, even lower than “one of my turns” in this video, it can have an effect like G-2 but I don’t know. Again, both different circuits. G-2 is closer to tube driver I think
@@mustyguitar right.... I think it's a different pastfx pedal I was thinking.. patriarch
@@kenmasters007 Patriarch is closer to PULSE sound in my mind. They are both awesome, I haven't done an A/B test but replacing is an odd word to choose here.
