Mate, I am English, I would love to learn Welsh for free. It is the language of our/your land! Go for it. Come on Jasmine!!! keep your tongue alive. Even as an Englishman, I am super proud to have you Welsh speakers as my neighbours! Keep learning Welsh! (I am gonna start to encourage you).
Leode Siefast, Duolingo is free and it helps a lot, I learned a lot of French on my own for years I wish I would have known about Duolingo sooner (it’s a free app)

I'm Polish (well... third-culture kid actually), but went to an International British School back in my high school days, and once did an accidental "Freudian slip" where I accidentally asked my female Welsh teacher: "Can you say something in *ELVISH?"* (as in "Elvish", the language in "Lord of the Rings"). I find this so cringey, even up to this day! 😆😆😆😆😆😆 I remember this was so akward for me, I was like "OOPS!" :( I wanted to change the subject immediately, but to no avail lol The beans have already been spilled. :P Though I must admit, the teacher kinda did have a bit of "Lord of The Rings Elf" beauty in her actually now that I think about it... I love both Welsh and Elvish language actually, both sound magical :) I hope that Breton, Welsh, Irish and Scottish Gaelic continue to live on. They are remnants of the ancient heritages of Europe.
I’m relearning welsh with the help of a dear friend. Welsh used to my first language but lived away for over forty years. Slowly slowly it’s all coming back. Thanks Dil.
I am from Moldova, the Celts lived in Moldova. For the Germans called our principality: Wallachia. This is how they called the lands of the romano-celtic people origins. It was nice to hear such a beautiful language that is very close to my heart. Thank you for the wonderful song, and I say hello to my relatives from the UK.
Interesting, what you are saying about the origin of the name Wallachia. I also love this music and I am trying to understand and learn some Welsh, but with only little success so far. The Saxons, who came to live on the British Isles, called the native Celts 'welsh'. As far as I am aware, 'welsh' simply is the Saxon term for 'strangers' or 'foreigners'. I am not a linguist though so I leave this point for others to clarify. This song is amazing and the singer very enchanting.
I live in America but my ancestor Sir Henry Morgan was from Wales and I have always felt a very strong connection there. When I hear traditional folk Welsh music I feel it tugging at my heart and soul.
That was amazing , please please sing more songs in the welsh language, your voice is beautiful, I’m from the west of Ireland and I love our own musics in the Irish language but I want to hear more welsh song , Diolch 🏴🇮🇪
@@thecommabandit Don't be a fool. Welsh is a people and culture. Once you replace the people and the culture there is no Wales anymore. London is our warning. London is no longer a British city in any sense other than geography and government.
Thank you so very much, Miss Goodman!! I was born and raised in the USA, but have a very very rich Welsh family history. This song is the most beautiful of Welsh melodies and takes me back to the home of my family!
Beautiful rendition of this folk song. I have put the English lyrics in my upcoming novel The Welsh Linnet. My 17th century Welsh hero sings this to the heroine on their wedding night!
My father was Welsh. I have come across this song and have fallen in love with it it’s very moving, it was also sang in 1828 at a fair in Llangammach wells by my name sake.
In saner times, wars would have been fought over the honor of beautiful Goddess such as you, Eve... I am well and truly in love with you, after listening to just two of your songs - I want to live in a world where women like you are held-up in the highest of reverence, protected and worshiped, like the tribal Queens of old. You stir an ancient potency in the hearts of all warrior spirit, inspiring all to stand-up straight and fight for life and love.
There's noubt wrong with me, mate. I'm just beginning to become an adult in a world populated by grown-children- grain-brained techno-peasants, who are unwittingly subservient to the worst kind of predators and criminals imaginable! I'd rather follow and protect the divine feminine, a beautiful Goddess who embodies innocence, truth and a purity of spirit- like Eve. She could be my Queen any day.

Assolutamente meravigliosa, pelle d’oca, una di quella stretta cerchia d’artisti in grado di farti immaginare il paradiso, il senso di pace con la melodia della voce...thank you!
Been in the process of actually learning the song both singing and playing it playing it's not too hard the courts are easy to pick up on just trying to learn the language though I know some I studied I'd like to learn more and be fluent in it since I have family roots going back to Wales.
