It’s because of how arrogant and out of touch he is. He thinks he’s funny and commands respect because he’s been doing “comedy” for years. He thinks that, and that alone makes him better than someone just starting out like Richard. By his logic, a lesser known guy that’s been in the NBA for 10 years is better than Ja Morant because he’s been doing it longer.

I stopped listening to Stern when Jackie left and i never had heard Shuli until a few days ago when I saw his Rico show. He seems like a reasonable, funny guy along w/ Bob Levy, who is now funnier as an old man.

Cabbie is one of my Alltime Favorites, & I think the only reason he didn’t win, Cuz 1 it was rigged & 2 I think this before his sentencing, so they knew he was gonna be away.... But I Love Shuli Too...So This is tough, Cabbie is CHRIS Farley like Lol I’d love to see Cabbie & Shuli Work together too & I used to not like Shuli but then i saw that Killers Of Comedy Tour mini series they played on HTV & a few things that are so minute but were obviously genuine made me change my whole look on shuli, after that I saw that Shuli was actually a great person, has a big heart, he seemed to be the only one really concerned for Beetle & other stuff, & then once I wasn’t hating on him I saw that he was kinda screwed in the politics of the show cuz he started as a news guy & the HTV Guys & Producers & the Writers all had their cliques, so Shuli had that outsider battle...but he was always hilarious, & so in the last couple years I changed to really like him & I wish he woulda got a shot at the Artie chair n made it his version the same way Artie did, I don’t feel Shuli got a fair shake & he was one of very few decent people from the staff on the show
@@vigusdna3760 I respect your opinion about shulli but it sounds like more as sympathy. He should have never been hired in the first place . I think because he was willing to work for almost free he got the job. I really tried to like him but he is just not funny to me . I live in nyc , I have got to witness his standup live and it is amateur at best . I have seen hundreds of standup comics over the years and I would rate him very low. I have seen plenty that are always funny and have a big following but for whatever reason never got the break they deserve but somehow this guy is on the greatest radio show of all time and never has anything funny to say on air . What has he contributed in 15 years ? You would imagine he would have a list of bits that we can look back on and laugh. The Doug baby clothes confrontation and his shitty tan mom impression ? I don’t see how you can justify him being employed . Now he has moved on and his podcast sucks . Have you listened ?
