I imagine that she is similar to Harley Quinn, in that she is actually brilliant, but is always underestimated because she "seems" like an insane clown. She is a clown, but her audience is herself, and what she can do to people is the punch line. Would be interesting to see if, while Vox and Val run powerful businesses, she is the one that runs everything, including them.
Considering Velvet is the Overlord of Social Media, A.K.A publicity. She can easily show what she wants and not, and make the audience have different opinions. So far both V's are on her good side, so they don't have to worry. That is until the aren't-
