If you think about it, Konohamaru in the Boruto era uses a variety of techniques from a monkey staff to toads to rasengan to sealing jutsu to using asuma's chakra blades, etc, which makes him alot like Hiruzen in a way. I like that, despite how much I hate him getting jobbed all the time in Boruto.

Exactly they take these statements way to literal, it really doesn’t make sense for this statement to be talking about the hokage when the hokage is supposed to be the strongest in the village also orochi scales this kakashi to kabuto so unless hiruzen also scales around that area I think we can rule this out

Kakashi and Kabuto being equal is a misconception that isn’t supported by events in the manga.
The first sign that alluded towards part 1 Kakashi being stronger was in chapter 89. Kakashi had his Sharingan covered - meaning he couldn't predict oncoming attacks, copy jutsu or cast Genjutsu. Kabuto knew this yet despite having prepared a multi-layered escape plan to flee, he was still uncertain as to whether or not base Kakashi could arrest him (Chapter 89, page 3). Kabuto obviously gets away, but it's worth noting that Kakashi didn't unveil his Sharingan once during their first encounter as he was adamant that it wasn't needed to subdue him. It was more so Kabuto's brain that Kakashi underestimated.
The second sign was during their second encounter in chapter 138. This time Kakashi had his Sharingan revealed and in it's wake, Kabuto openly admits that he wasn't ready to have his jutsu copied before fleeing from him again. A massive indication that Kakashi could copy his chakra scalpel (assuming he couldn’t already use it) among other jutsu.
Third sign was Kabuto's statement in chapter 164, "i'm no good with Taijutsu". Meanwhile, Kakashi's a Taijustu expert. At best Kabuto was on Kakashi's wavelength in terms of intelligence and maybe skill. Though they were certainly not equals overall. In a prolonged 1v1 without prep, Sharingan Kakashi would make short work out of Kabuto.
I honestly don’t believe he’d even need the sharingan. Kabuto might be of a similar intellect as Kakashi, but i never believed for a second, even as a child, that Kakashi wouldn’t blitz and chidori Kabuto nearly instantly. Their first interaction he has a wounded Sasuke as a hostage and runs away, the next time they cross paths Kabuto runs away, and i think he runs a third time. He didn’t want the smoke.
Imo I think the statement is more referring to skill than Actual strength, like they have similar potential to grow because Kabuto is still young but he's already that strong. I don't think it meant that Kabuto is literally in the same level as kakashi at the timr

Many people do take statements at face value and genuinely believe they’re equals. Thus it’s worth clarifying. Also the uploader seems to be one of them. Claiming Kabuto has “Kakashi level power” is indictivate of them being equals 6:50. They should have instead used the manga to clarify how they very clearly aren’t.
@@EternalBrightness3 yeah I agree with everything you said, their encounters doesn't seems to imply that their equal. I'm just adding the possibility that maybe that statement is referring to their skill or potential. I also do see a lot of people taking that statement at face value which is somewhat annoying.
I think they just said Kabuto was as strong as Kakashi in the anime just to say it, the power scales weren’t fully developed then or anything like that, I take that comment with a grain of salt.. part one Kakashi would defeat that Kabuto fairly easily
One of the more glossed over points in the guidebook is that they explicitly say they're only taking things shown in the series up to the point of publishing. So at that point Jiraya didn't really have many showings. So that Kakashi being above him isn't really that much of a contradiction.
Another thing to explain kakashi getting more powerful at end of war could be his sharigan. He just went through a very emotional event with a childhood friend and we know the sharigan evolves and gets stronger with strong emotions

Honestly, it just depends on which Kakadhi we use. If we use Kakazu arc Kakadhi, who implied that he could only use one or so Kamuis before passing out, then he would lose unless he doesn’t miss hitting Jiraya. If we use War Arc Kakadhi, though, he can spam black holes basically without limit, and I don’t think Jiraya could deal with that level of cheese 🧀.

great vid, did something similar on my channel but i just compared war arc Kakashi and Sage Jiraiya. again love the videos and you inspired me a lot to get into this space of Naruto power scaling and vs battle type stuff
War arc kakashi is blitzing jiraiya kakashi reacts and keeping up wit KCM2 naruto & 6 jinjuriki’s 1 of them reacts to kcm & bee so jiraiya wit no speed feats he struggles wit the 3 weakest pains..jiraiya has terrible durability base tsunade 1shots him & kid naruto kubi..pain arc kakashi fought the 2 strongest pains while jiraiya fought the 3 weakest pains and had to use a genjustu to beat them.
A point of note is that hiruzen knows every jutsu in the leaf. Kakashi, being known as the copy ninja has probably learned a bunch of jutsus from outside the leaf as well as the ones from the leaf.

Taking Kakashi where he is now, especially with what was shown in the war, I don’t think there’s really any reason to believe that Jiraiya can keep up anymore. If we took them both at their strongest ever showings especially, it’s not even a competition between them

Kakashi has even stated thay jariya is pretty much stronger than him. Itachi an kisame together couldn’t mess w jariaya. There’s a reason they sent him and not kakashi to fight Pain and they asked him to be hokage like 4 times. It’s because he was by far the strongest up until his death.
One madara appears everyone gets a power boost. Jariaya would get the same treatment because literally everyone did.

@@admusic247 You’re completely right, he could possibly have become stronger than Kakashi. But then again, that doesn’t work because, well, he isn’t alive. We can never know how powerful he could have become because he didd in his fight against pain. So his strongest will always be him in that moment while other characters got the chance to grow
I thought it was said in the anime that he was the strongest of jonnin .he was the peak of what an jonnin can be in the leaf, the example ninja. I never thought of it meaning that he compare to anyone outside of that like saninn or kage

early war arc kakashi should already be able to beat jiraiya pretty easily, he can kamui naruto so fast that obito didn't even notice it. I know that it's not in kakashi's character to just snipe people's head using kamui, but he did say that if naruto didn't come to help against kakuzu, he will be able to beat kakuzu anyway with his ms, so we know that kakashi is willing to use kamui for offense directly at the opponent if he's cornered.

If you'll put kakashi on the mission instead of jiraiya, i bet you that he wouldn't even last almost the whole episode. Jiraiya could also beat asura, hell-- even give him a beating if he's only aware. If a guy who literally ripped your arm off using his fist but you managed to also cut him using a chainsaw doesnt prove anything and that's literally the same situation with kakashi, jiraiya and ashura
I’d say pain arc kakashi is kinda reaching those heights where he’s probably surpassing base Jiraiya and forcing him to enter sage mode ,but getting clapped by sage Jiraiya. Kage summit Kakashi is probably when he starts getting closer to sage Jiraiya in power ,but he’d still lose mid diff. Early war arc kakashi probably is around sage Jiraiya level and that fight can go either way. As of war arc kakashi once he goes in the battlefield he just blatantly is above sage jiriaya. He is fighting 3 biju’s at once, cutting off biju limbs, and just pretty much surpassing that Sannin level tier even without Kamui. Once he add in his Kamui war arc feats it’s just not really a fight. Like kakashi legit Kamui’s so fast he he kamui’d a truth seeking orb going towards 8 gates guy. War arc kakashi just keeps up with faster characters and gets progressively stronger becoming such a beast he’s fighting alongside 6-7 gates guy, Kcm2 Naruto, Tobirama, and Minato. I’m not saying he’s stronger ,but it’s a feat for himself. You can also directly imply he’s >= 7 gates guy as kakashi blatantly stated he’s now surpassed me while guy uses the 8 gates. It’s up for you how to interpret that ,but war arc kakashi is definitely above the Sannin Individually and the 5 kage individually. I can even see him beating 2 of the 5 kage if you add mei lol😂.
@Jon Miller I somewhat agree with you ,but also disagree with you. Jiraiya was snuck ,but he did not defeat 4 paths at once. He defeated 3 with his genjutsu and after that genjutsu was used there is no way jiriaya can use it again. They’d just dodge it I mean like it’s not that fast and they instinctively ran towards it not knowing what it was. When Jiraiya fought all 6 he only defeated one and got no diff’d. The 6 were just too much for him and the 3 paths were the weakest. I’m not saying pain arc kakashi is stronger cuz he’s not ,but the scenarios are different. Jiriaya is obviously stronger than pain arc kakashi and Kakashi performed that well cuz of iq not really his actual battle strength. If you actually rank the pains the deva path would scale over the other 5. Konan even states that the deva path gains immense power when it’s alone as well. Deva path> other 5 paths> sage Jiraiya> 3 weakest paths. I also believe the statement that Jiraiya could defeat pain was only pertained to him running towards Nagato and just killing him. Nagato was crippled 💀 ,but in terms of combat the deva path highly negs alone. I’m not saying you’re fully wrong it’s just a weird comparison to compare the 2 strongest and the 3 weakest and make it seem as a better cognitive feat when the deva path> the other 5 alone. They aren’t even near full strength w out the deva path carrying.
12:09 Kakashi managed to sneak up on Pain undetected and rather than blitz him with a Lightning blade like he did Kakuzu, he grabs Pain's chakra receiver instead. It would have been an instant one-shot. Kishimoto didn’t want him to end Pain before Naruto even though he easily could have.

Its most likely due to them not paying attention thats all … when jiraya fought pain they was sent specifically for him so he couldnt sneak up etc nobody was specifically watching for kakashi also ma and pa did come back to the village revealing everything jiraya figured out about pain which is a major detail everyone forgets if it wasnt for jiraya it wouldnt be intel on majority of the akatsuki he is the reason why they know so much cause he specializes in infiltration/strategy and he is one of the greatest analytical ninjas to exist which is also shown when he fought urashiki which is canon jiraya is extremely smart in battle !! Just like yall seen kashin koji sneaking around analyzing jigens abilities to kill him in boruto that’s usually what jiraya does the pains was an unprepared type situation but like they said if he knew about their abilities etc before hand they would of lost which is a 100 percent true statement

Kakashi is probably just the strongest of the standard ninja, so excluding the hokage, which is consistant with the narative aswell.
It is implied kakashi can like 1 shot anybody if he lands chidori so it’s probably in that sense like if kakashi can land chidori on u it’s pretty much over so other characters just have to be much faster than him
Could you do a video on what would happen if Itachi and Kisame decided to stay and fight Jiraiya? I heard people talking about how they woudl smash him BUT people tend to forget Gui was just minutes away and i really think that this 2v2 fight outcome is not so obvious anymore. (Pain didn’t use all-mighty push at all against Jiraiya but used it multiple times against Kakashi).... and Kakashi didn’t get any intel on the deva path’s abilities before the fight... he had to figure it out on the fly

Just a quick question for everyone: When have the databooks ever been representative of what we actually see in the manga?
Most of the time cuz the same author is writing the manga, databooks,and novels. Some things are iffy but I would love to see the average person write and draw a consistent story for 15 years lol. Most people are average statistically
@@thetruth997_ so what I means is that 90% of the abilities that are in the books are never shown in the actual manga. It's an over exaggeration of most ppl's moveset. Everyone has like 4 chakra manipulations in the databooks, but when it comes to the actual story we only see characters use like 2 jutsus lol. So should go more by what's in the databooks or by what we actually see in the story?

@@CJ-SA They were also fighting Zetsu together & Minato was confident Kakashi could handle Zetsu despite Zetsu having held Minato(KCM) & Kakashi off long enough for Minato to lose his KCM cloak
@@SRVaris only reason zetsu survive was because he was holding onto obito, zetsu on obito actually amps obito, but minato and kakashi didnt wanna kill obito, so they are relative in that sense, but if you look at it, minato was in base edo using a rasengan and kakashi was using a chidori with his ms, which means he was gonna attack with ms kakashi while in base, just one more thing in that scene that makes no sense.
@@momotheone9700 I'm pretty sure by that point both were trying to kill Obito while yes Minato was in Base that's due to KCM's time limit so Zetsu Managed to hold off KCM Minato & War arc Kakashi for an extended period of time and Minato thought Kakashi could handle Zetsu(Obito absorbed) Kakashi also only had his 3 tome active
And In terms of Kakashi's strength inconsistency it works out better if you believe Kakashi before his fight with Obito was around KCM Naruto's level then when he first started to fight Obito he gets a permanent mental amp pushing his physical abilities to on par with Obito then during his fight with Obito he grows stronger(which is backed up by Bee's statement of growing stronger in combat)
What do you think about a video of Sasuke vs Minato?
I think minato is beating sasuke right up to six paths,or atleast sasuke when he got naruto chakra with jugos at the same time, but i still think kcm minato got that, the only way i think sasuke wins before 6 paths is kid sasuke vs kid minato and 5kage summit sasuke vs jonin minato.
kid sasuke in base or even with 2 tomoe i still think minato would slam him, but when curse mark is added to that then sasuke should win.
I now the only reason why i think maybe 5kage summit sasuke beats jonin minato is base off what bee said,he said taka sasuke was the strongest opponent he ever faced, and he faced jonin minato in the past.

Let's look at statements. Killer B said that Taka Sasuke who only had access to 1 Mangekyo and was still injured from Itachi was the 2nd strongest opponent he ever faced meaning the 1st was Minato.
During the 5kage Summit it was confirmed that the 4th Raikage using his version 1 lightning cloak was on par with Minatos speed and Sasuke using 3 tomoe sharingan was able to react and even dodge an elbow bolt.
Sasuke pulls out his MS and Raikage uses his version 2 lightning cloak. Sasuke couldn't physically keep up with the speed anymore but could still react using his eyes and protect himself with a sussano rib cage covered in inferno style. Sasuke dodged the 4th Raikage elbow bolt, blocked his liger bomb, blocked his chop, and forced him to sacrifice his arm just to land an attack lol. MS Sasuke based on the Raikage is beating or tieing with Base Minato.
I would’ve loved to see a prequel to Naruto titled “Tales of Jiraiya” or something like that, where it shows Jiraiya joining team Hiruzen & the series could end right when Naruto catches him peeping in the girls bathhouse.
Also it would’ve been cool to see a Minato prequel that shows him joining team Jiraiya & it could end after the Obito/Nine Tails attack. I would’ve loved that so much.
Also it would’ve been cool to see more of Naruto as a young adult starting somewhere after the events of “The Last” & it could’ve ended when he becomes Hokage.

I think only War Arc Kakashi could beat Jiraiya but even then I'd say they're pretty relative (minus DMS) cuz Jiraiya also has some crazy Hax, Summonings and Toad Genjutsu. Before the War Arc Jiraiya definitely beats Kakashi.
although Kakashi is op in the war ,the point is that sage energy is just on a tier above any normal techniques. Kakashi would have to counter something that he's roughly familiar with so idk .also that's assuming Jiraiya knows nothing about MS

🤔 that’s a very good topic idea! Like REALLY good! I’d say hidan tho.... zabuza and early part 1 Kakashi were pretty equal in speed and power and skill.... by the time Kakashi fought hidan, Kakashi had gotten far more dangerous as a shinobi and hidan was keeping up... so I think hidan would just be too fast. Considering hidan fought the very skilled and VERY fast 2-tails jinchuriki, I think hidan would overwhelm zabuza
Hidan would win he was matching Shippuden asuma who is stated too be a great jonin too Kakashi who in part one did better against Zabuza in the second fight
probably hidan, they both have similar stats, zabuza being able to keep up with part 1 kakashi and hidan being able to keep up with asuma (who in part 1 databook was stated to have power almost on the level of kakashi), hidan most likely win due to his immortality, unless zabuza starts the battle with his silent killing jutsu and chop off hidan's head, which is not an unlikely scenario since he's an assassin and an assassin is trained kill their target as fast as possible

Even as a grown man Kakashi is still amazed by his favorite author. If Jiraiya had MASTERED sage mode Pein arc would've ended in the rain village with the ultimate Talk no Jutsu from the hermit himself. Even pein admit it.

@Jon Miller that's not mastering then. He needed them to help him balance the nature chakra. Naruto did it on his own which is why he surpassed Jiraiya

When you create a universe that was around for 15 years (took me from school through to college) its hard to keep consistent and retcons do exist. Kabuto might be in the same tier in part 1 but I think it’s clear he isn’t an equal when they had their altercation during the sound invasion kabuto knew he had no chance and had to escape immediately. I think he surpassed jiraya in the pain arc once he began to master kamui

Why weren't the chakra pills used at all after this one time? Gaining days worth of stamina sounds pretty useful especially since up until the war arc characters seem to run out of chakra in under an hour or so of fighting.
And since we're talking about things not getting used why didn't orochimaru give himself a cursemark or learn sage mode for that matter as we see kabuto gaining it in no time at all in part two partially due to orochimarus cells, so shouldn't it be rly easy for the original to gain it then?

Pain arc kakashi beats jiraiya. We know that the MS gives the user a huge boost in power. Also kakashi has gotten better at using kamui. I don’t see how jiraiya wins. Maybe he can try and prolong the fight and hope kakashi runs out of chakra but if kakashi starts the fight off aggressively then jiraiya can’t really do nothing.

Just look at ssj3 as an example. Kakashi was able to use kamui to stop a nail going at super sonic speed and an arrow coming towards him from MS sasuke with no problem. Also beginning of series kakashi vs pain arc kakashi are totally different in strength and stamina so using the orochimari argument is irrelevant. Definitely when both kakashi AND jiraiya lose to him. Also it’s just proof that kakashi is way faster then jiraiya. He would not even let him try to get into sage mode even if he used summonings. Because while some believe Jiraiya is this god of shinobi that scales above most of the Akatsuki, the reality is Jiraiya and Kakashi scale RIGHT next to each other. Jiraiya with his summons and experience; and Kakashi with his skill, intelligence, speed, genjutsu, more changes in chakra nature, skill with shadows clones and lightning clones, ability to copy Jiraiya’s jutsu with his sharingan, and kamui.... it would be a very good battle. Kakashi DEFINITELY has a chance to kill Jiraiya before Jiraiya could enter sage mode. But if Jiraiya enters sage mode, Jiraiya wins… visit my channel tho! I’d love to do a Jiraiya video with you six!

Yeah dms Kakashi DESTROYS Jiraiya.... but I don’t think Kakashi actually changes much between his fight with kakuzu (Which kakuzu was winning), Kakashi’s fight with a HEAVILY fatigued and blind sasuke (which sasuke had the upper hand) and Kakashi’s fight with pain.... I think the ONLY reason why Kakashi looks more “powerful” in the war is because:
1. Obito was not trying his hardest when he was fight Kakashi 1v1... obito was just trying to get Kakashi to remove the tag off of his heart...
2. And MOST importantly, Kakashi is a HUGE believer in teamwork! And for ALL of the war, Kakashi was teamed up with literally the strongest shinobi ever! KCM naruto, EMS sasuke, KCM minato, edo hashirama, might guy.... so being surrounded by so much power allowed Kakashi to look more powerful than he actually is.... which is under kakuzu and on par with a blind and severely fatigued sasuke.... just like Jiraiya....

In part 2 I don't agree Kakashi wasn't able to defeat Kakuzu,he literally gave a chance to Naruto to shine. He didn't even use MS

Obito could spam his Kamui with no negative drawbacks while Kakashi can not. Obito was in control of the whole fight and said he literally needed somebody to remove the curse seal on his heart to become the 10 tails jinchuriki. He was so above Kakashi he controlled the fight completely
