I dont think Orochimaru being a Sannin had anything to do with the Raikage wanting to train. Orochimaru just killed 2 kage and attacked the strongest of the 5 nations. Preparing for the worse just made sense

Orochimaru had so much potential in the beginning of the series. Im mad that they had him NERFED up until the end of SHIPPUDEN!! And a lot of people down play him for that. I truly believe Orochimaru was the strongest of the three. Tsunade slacked and gambled, Jiraiya simi-slacked and messed around with girls. But Orochimaru was on the grind everyday, he wanted to know all the justus in the world.
I know, right?! He had tremendous potential and genius, but he's shown as more of a mad scientist. Sealing his arms with the Reaper was one of the cruelest possible punishments for him, but I think it was a bad idea in the end. That said, I guess it still is kinda impressive that he still somehow steps to the likes of 4-tailed Naruto and survives. And my boi can't even use jutsu like he used to. 💀 And he was actually a pretty awesome villain. I just don't like that he's mostly just the weird snake guy now. And he should have had Sage Mode proper. Hiruzen probably wouldn't have stood a chance if he did pop snake senjutsu lol.
I mean, if you're talking The Sannin then you have to talk about them as a team. Seeing how Jiraya did versus Pain with absolutely no prep, it's not unreasonable to say they would have stood a chance if it was Tsunade Orochimaru and Jiraya versus Pain. Not the young Sannin since they got beaten by Hanzo, who was then beaten by Pain. But for sure they've all grown a lot stronger since the war.
To be fair, I think Pein himself stated Hanzo to have lost his resolve and became a paranoid and secluded old man by the time he faced him, which pans out seeing as there was no large scale destruction when we see the guy being killed in his pjs.
They would probably beat pain. Orochimaru would go prepared to the rain village with Edo tensei. The 1st 2 Hokage, Orochimaru, Tsunade, Manda, Gamabunta and Katsuyu would be more than enough to hold back even all 6 paths of pain while Jiraya goes sage mode. Now with MA an PA on Jiraya's shoulder, pain is kinda overwhelmed here.
I think they'd manage to press Pain enough to force him to use his most powerful techniques to win. Tsunade has shown that she can survive Almighty Push and protect hundreds at the same time, so I don't think that'll work against them. I don't think they can counter Planetary Devastation though.

It’s unfortunate that we never got to see the legendary Sannin come together and fight as a team during Naruto. While i’m not saying they’d be the strongest, I imagine that they would be a force to be reckoned with while fighting together towards the same goal. After all, they know each other decently well, were on the same squad growing up and during the war, and have very important ties to each other. It would have been amazing to see them go all out and coordinate attacks to boost each other’s strength and cover each other’s weaknesses. Imagine in the War Arc we saw Tsunade, Reanimated Jiraya, and Orochimaru come together and showcase their true potential. I feel like that would have been an amazing lead into Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto coming together to form the new 3 Way Deadlock.

He never went all out against hiruzen. The first time against itachi he was ambitious and that was his downfall, he almost got out his genjutsu if itachi didn't cut his arm. The second time that was just a part of a sick orochimaru who couldn't move or use any jutsus. Orochimaru literally has more kills than itachi. But he was nerfed to make itachi greater

I Remember in part 1, idk if this was just anime, but ibiki stated that when he saw orochimaru he only had one thought that orochimaru was a whole monster and was shown to be visibly shocked and frightened of the sannin, remember ibiki is an extremely famous ninja known for his interrogation tactics and a decently high jonin as well.

The toad flame bomb with gamabunta is actually in terms of just scale the strongest fire style jutsu shown in the entire series and dark swamp was always one of my favorite jutsu. I really wish kishimoto would have flusehd out orochimarus jutsu arsenal more rather than just have him using snakes 90 percent of the time considering his whole goal was to learn all ninjutsu
I disagree with the toad flame bomb statement, because up to this day Madara’s majestic destroyer flame, is actually the most powerful fire style jutsu I’ve ever seen in the series still.

I actually miss how much of a menace Orochimaru was before he got nerfed by Hiruzen. It would have been cooler to see him do more as a villain and show more of that storied genius and all those jutsu he learned. It's sad that, after Part 1, he's practically a non-issue in his condition. And then whenever he fights he's just like "hahaha, big snek go *BRRRR!"* Would be nice to see him treated with more respect, especially since he was such a big deal back in the day. He could have grown even stronger and become a threat once again. I also don't see why he didn't have proper sage mode like the others. But I guess Kishimoto didn't like him very much lmao.

no one talks about orochimaru in boruto who should be way stronger, based on the keke genkai he gained on the last way and his edo tensei being able to control every kage besides hashirama.
@@Rhenkei not really, orochimaru is stronger than mitsuki who is relative to boro speed, boro is far weaker than delta but not even delta is a problem if he revives hashirama or madara. delta was only a match for naruto in taijutsu if naruto pulled out the nine tails avatar he would have nuked her and the same would happen with madara or hashirama even if you argue that they lose in base.

Deltas durability is significantly higher than anything Sm Hashirama can do. So yeah she doesnt scale to Narutos jutsus but neither does anything Tobirama or Sm hashi have. Also

The sannin are definitely not relative after a certain point, they're considered on par all the way past even the Era of Sage Jiraiya, and Oro and Tsunade just have better scaling

Yeah, but the violent loss needs context. He thought he won and took down all the bodies he thought he had to deal with then got sneak attacked and lost and arm! And then still managed to take a body. He could have escaped and was even asked if he wanted to, but preferred to try to stay to try to learn the secret behind them despite knowing the odds were not in his favor. Also, Pain had knowledge on Jiraiya (literally being taught by Jiraiya) and Jiraiya had little knowledge on Pain. It isn't like it was a terrible loss, he took down 4 bodies and took down who he thought was his enemy. The fight didn't turn bad for him (indeed it was like he won) until he was sneaked and lost an arm. While at least an individual sannin < Pain very clearly, it's not like it's super super vast if we take sage mode into account. Jiraiya seemed to think he had good chances if he were to fight the paths 1v1, implying he was at least equal to and likely greater than an individual Path, well at least the paths he was then fighting, and he managed to stop 3 at once which is half the Paths.
Should talk more about tsunade chakra being much more than jiraiya and orochimaru . Medical ninjutsu takes mor than regular ninjutsu! She healed the ENTIRE VILLAGE AND THE DEAD BODIES. She gave katsuyu HER chakra to keep th entire village safe….
It's so weird for Sakura to have already surpassed Tsunade and be relative to Naruto and Sasuke when she started so far behind them and they got so many crazy power ups.
Sakura was fighting til she got the Byakugou just with 30% of her chakra. Also the Byakugou is a pretty op Jutsu even mentioned in Boruto that it‘s a technique that goes back to the rikkou sennin.
Sakura throughout the show fought at 30 percent power. The byagou means you can only use 30 percent of ur chakra and when u unleash that seal that means you gain power that surpasses your peak as its years of chakra giving an exponential amph. Also she’s still weaker. she was relative to them ,but she has disadvantages of the two since they are far more versatile. Also they have an avater while she doesn’t furthermore making her weaker.
you should talk more about Tsunade like when she counter Madaras dgragon fire jutsus with bare hands,or her knowledge about poison and stuff like that,also she was cut half but was still alive and managed to summon katsuyu and save other kages.. plus she can use hands as scalpel and cut easily human's body...
All sanin have a link with the Karma seal. Jiraiya had the outside energy absorbtion Tsunade has the Karma pattern ( personal and mental energy compacted in a symbol on the body) Orochimaru has the Karma transfer . All together make a full karma. Think about it.

All three of them at one time were up for hokage and only pervy sage turned it down. When Jiraiya would fight with any of the other two he has the same mindset as naruto when fighting a comrade so he’ll hold back in order to get his point a-crossed and I think we didn’t get to see Jiraiya go all out in order to understand how powerful he truly was.
I love how the Sannins have unique sets of Powers and this is one of the things that I love about the Series. Orochimaru is mainly a Summoner, Jiraiya uses Hax and Tsunade is a Brawler. Obviously it's not all they can do.

According to the Databook, The frog Song Genjutsu is supposed to be the "Strongest" that was revealed so far. Kotamatsukami, Izanami, Izanagi and Infinite Tsukiyomi aside, the Frog Song probably the strongest since it doesn't take a toll on the user unlike Tsukiyomi. It worked on Pain, so this alone is a better hax than anything Orochimaru can do. And Orochimaru CAN infact die. Sasuke killed him but he later revived him through Onko.

I only think Jiraya is slightly stronger in the pain arc because Naruto had all the help, fought a weaker pain, and full knowledge. Jiraya was in the rain village. Fought pain at his strongest. And had 0 help, and fought konan and random other shinobi. Naruto's sage mode is better, but Jiryaya takes it with hacks and battle strategy. With that being said they both still lose to pain. Even Naruto couldn't beat a weaker pain and the nine tails had to.
I would disagree with that tbh. While Jiraiya did fight pain at his strongest, pain could use any of his large scale jutsu or anything that strong out of fear for hurting his village and the people. Also it’s like blatantly stated that naruto had surpassed Jiraiya when he fought pain

Okay, sure, orochimaru warns kabuto that tsunade could one shot kabuto.... but then kabuto goes on to take blows from tsunade.... orochimaru also takes dozens of punches from tsunade.... one punch was even chakra enhanced! Nobody died..... naruto did more damage to kabuto than tsunade did....

@@toshiro8997 in the manga, tsunade states that a kabuto who was holding back, in order to not kill or even severely hurt tsunade was “better than tsunade in her prime”.... that was a statement straight from tsunade’s own mouth. So my main argument about tsunade still stands: she’s not as skilled or as fast as zabusa.... she only did as good as she did against madara because madara literally stood motionless and allowed tsunade to hit him.... the second attack tsunade landed was only AFTER mei hit madara’s ribs twice, and then ay hit madara’s ribs towards tsunade, giving tsunade a momentum and gravity advantage.... AND, madara was toying around the whole time. Tsunade scales right next to zabusa....

Sakura definitely should be stronger than tsunade even from a narrative stand point. Tsunade is relative to orochimaru and jiraiya. Sakura is stated to be relative to naruto and sasuke(kcm2 and ems). Her feats, statements from other characters like the hashirama one you mentioned, and naruto saying he is never going to make Sakura angry again(this wouldn’t be in reference to that punch cause Sakura would never punch naruto that hard. So if naruto doesn’t even want to take a baby petty Sakura punch, I think he would differently get seriously damaged by the actual punch where he made this statement) should put her above tsunade comfortably. Sakura is a beast honestly and I wish her character/ role is the story/ personality was better cause she would be one of my favorite characters
Maybe it's time to scrap "Kage Level" as a category indicating combat strength, given that, as you correctly point out, the Kage are extremely inconsistent in terms of power level. A Kage is the strongest fighter and most capable leader a village has to offer at any given point in time. But that also means that weak and small villages are going to have weaker Kage than stronger villages. Some Kage are at mid-to-high Jonin level, some are at or above Sannin level, and Naruto himself frankly proves just how useless the category is, as he's either at or near a Demigod level of power during most of his reign. In other words; it makes more sense to say that there are Kage that are at, above and below Sannin level, as "Sannin Level" is a consistent category, than it does to say that the Sannin are Kage level, when there are obviously Kage above and below their level. In conclusion, "Kage Level" is a useless term when trying to scale characters, because we don't know whether it means Prime Hashirama or 5 Kage Summit Mei. And it's probably fair to argue that each individual Sannin is probably stronger than the majority of Kage throughout history. Especially considering that both Jiraya and Tsunade are considered for the position, at a time when Konoha is generally considered the strongest village. TL;DR, let's scrap "Kage Level" as a scaling tool. It can mean anything from Jonin to Kaguya/Demigod level. Instead, let's use Sannin level as a tool for ranking the Kage, as it has a far more consistent definition.
Kage level is still a good general reference point as to say someone is above jonin, a rank which even you used as a reference point in your argument but has the same drawback; eg: jonin like Kurenai and Sai being the same rank as Kakashi and Guy despite the obvious difference in skill, rep, and power output.
Honestly I believe they all really hard counter each other like edo madara is not the big daddy villain that he appears to be because honestly I believe healthy itachi or healthy nagato can solo the five kage and we already know obito can take them all on.
Having a full sasuno and rinnegan doesn’t mean you would automatically win it’s already stated nagato was the best rinnegan user plus he’s a uzamaki he can utilize the rinnegan to greater extents even if it actually belongs to madara; itachi has a one hit ko and in canon has outsmarted the geniuses within the show plus obito kumuai madara and ( insert teammate) would be needed for that type of fight ( and don’t say he can just dodge totsuka blade or something because first of all ( even if he knows about it) he wouldn’t know itachi had it
Itachi is pretty much useless here so it up too Nagato and Obito too pick up the slack but they lose eventually since i like too see them tank a ps slash too the face
Didn’t Pain literally say that he wouldn’t have won if Jiraya Knew the secrets of his ability? That’s also made clear by the fact that Naruto only beat the pains due to having the Intel that Jiraya didn’t.
Yeah but that would've been easier said than done, because even Sage Mode Naruto with all the prep and help (excluding help from Kurama) wasn't able to beat Tendo Pain who was nowhere close to full power. If all 6 Pains were there to fight Jiraya, he would've had a way tougher time dealing with them even if you gave him knowledge about the 6 Paths of Pain on his side.
Tsunades feats are still superior to Jiraiyas tho. And I don‘t think you spent enough time to analyze her power. 1. A rusty Tsunade who spend (after the death of Dan) around 20 years just with drinking and gambling. Were able to beat Kabuto (who‘s stated by both Orochimaru and Jiraiya being at the same level as Kakashi) if he didn’t used her weaknesses (fear of blood). Orochimaru and Kabuto were even scared to search her. Before the battle between Kabuto and Tsunade begun they ran away from her just for keeping her tired. Kabuto increased his skills with a foodpill and had informations about Tsunades abilities just for keeping up with her. Not to mention that in the manga she one punched Orochimaru and the fight was over. Orochimaru the one who toyed with 4 Tails Naruto. 2. Speed: Yes, Tsunade might be not the fastest but she is fast. Faster as Jiraiya. Tsunade while being rusty was able to outspeed Kabuto multiple times even tho her muscles were cut by Kabutos chakrablade. Even after being cut and stabbed multiple times by Orochimaru, she reacted fast enough to protect Naruto and attacking Orochimaru ( and this was a tired and rusty Tsunade). During the fight against Madara Tsunade were the only Kage that reacted fast enough to block Madaras Katon Jutsu. Someone like the freaking Raikage couldn’t. 3. Chakra: no one of the Sanin is touching her at chakra. Tsunade had enough Chakra to heal her whole ass village during Pain‘s Attack. She gave Katsuyu all her chakra to save to people from one of pains most powerful Jutsu. At vs. Madara she was healing her own team, her self and spending them chakra multiple times while keeping her self young. Her Chakrareserves are that high that she alone was enough to spend Oonoki chakra to destroy over 25 Susannos. And after they got asswhooped by Madara, she were the only one who woke up. Conjuring Katsuyu to heal them + herself while being cut in half. 4. Tai-Jutsu; I think this is debatable between Jiraiya and Tsunade. But even Jiraiya said that no one (during there time) could match Tsunade at medical nin and Tai-Jutsu. I always seemed like that her close combat skills were superior to there’s. 5. Hax/Jutsus: You simple can‘t kill her that easy lol. Kakashi who is known for his hax and his area of jutsus have nothing shown (expect kamui) that is dangerous for her. She can heal herself like nothing. Also Kastuyu can tank almost everything and her acid is strong enough to kill Orochimaru (his own statement) The guy who can’t be really killed. Sakura during her novel could heal her half destroyed body + regenerated her whole arm and tanked a Bijuu-bomb thanks to the Byakugou Seal. It‘s true that Madara hold back in the beginning. But this makes her achievements not less worth. However 4 tailed Naruto could not do shit to her, but Tsunade oneshotted him. Tsunade has more stamina and better reaction feats than the other kages despite of the fact that she was using her own chakra to heal them and amp their abilities. Raikage's attack didn't help her break the susanoo... See the manga scans of that attack.. Raikage attacks the back side.. Then Tsunade attacks the front side... ONLY THE SIDE WHICH Tsunade attacks breaks apart into pieces... While Raikage's side remains intact. Also it's her force that pushes Madara out of his susanoo in backward direction to hit the wall... That's the amount of force her single kick has. Toppling down full body susanoo DOES MEAN SHIT. Remember the fight of Guy vs Madara?? 7 Gated Guy shoots Hirudora at Full body Susanoo of Madara and it gets pushed away in a similar Manner . It means Tsunade's average punches scale to Hirudora Level Shots.

In terms of design , techniques , backstory, the sannin is wat was meant to be portrayed when they show a seasoned ninja, that is op but only due to their experience and training, tsunade still to this day being the best written female character in naruto , i wish more was done with the sannin
I think Tsunade was still stronger than Sakura in terms of healing and maybe strength. There was a moment where Sakura tried to heal Shikamaru while amped by KCM cloak and was unable to help him, then along came Tsunade and healed him under like 5 seconds.

If Itachi went to the rain village to fight pain he'd get raped. He'd struggle against the animal path alone. His amaterasu gets absorbed by preta,all of his ninjutsu gets absorbed by preta. If his totsuka blade and susanoo are both chakra they should be absorbed by preta too but I don't know if it's even chakra or not so his only win condition is the susanoo. Let me reiterate I don't know if he can absorb susanoo he probably can't. their shared vision means Itachi wouldn't even be able to hit pain and we saw sage Naruto and sage jiriaya who are both extremely fast not be able to do much against the shared vision of the pains. Orochimaru had so much potential in the beginning of the series. Im mad that they had him NERFED up until the end of SHIPPUDEN!! And a lot of people down play him for that. I truly believe Orochimaru was the strongest of the three. Tsunade slacked and gambled, Jiraiya simi-slacked and messed around with girls. But Orochimaru was on the grind everyday, he wanted to know all the justus in the world.

Sealing his arms with the Reaper was one of the cruelest possible punishments for him, but I think it was a bad idea in the end. And he was actually a pretty awesome villain. I just don't like that he's mostly just the weird snake guy now. And he should have had Sage Mode proper. Hiruzen probably wouldn't have stood a chance if he did pop snake senjutsu lol.

I mean, if you're talking The Sannin then you have to talk about them as a team. Seeing how Jiraya did versus Pain with absolutely no prep, it's not unreasonable to say they would have stood a chance if it was Tsunade Orochimaru and Jiraya versus Pain. Not the young Sannin since they got beaten by Hanzo, who was then beaten by Pain. But for sure they've all grown a lot stronger since the war.
To be fair, I think Pein himself stated Hanzo to have lost his resolve and became a paranoid and secluded old man by the time he faced him, which pans out seeing as there was no large scale destruction when we see the guy being killed in his pjs.
They would probably beat pain.
Orochimaru would go prepared to the rain village with Edo tensei.
The 1st 2 Hokage, Orochimaru, Tsunade, Manda, Gamabunta and Katsuyu would be more than enough to hold back even all 6 paths of pain while Jiraya goes sage mode.

I think they'd manage to press Pain enough to force him to use his most powerful techniques to win.
Tsunade has shown that she can survive Almighty Push and protect hundreds at the same time, so I don't think that'll work against them. I don't think they can counter Planetary Devastation though.

It’s unfortunate that we never got to see the legendary Sannin come together and fight as a team during Naruto.
While i’m not saying they’d be the strongest, I imagine that they would be a force to be reckoned with while fighting together towards the same goal. After all, they know each other decently well, were on the same squad growing up and during the war, and have very important ties to each other. It would have been amazing to see them go all out and coordinate attacks to boost each other’s strength and cover each other’s weaknesses.
Imagine in the War Arc we saw Tsunade, Reanimated Jiraya, and Orochimaru come together and showcase their true potential. I feel like that would have been an amazing lead into Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto coming together to form the new 3 Way Deadlock.

The second time that was just a part of a sick orochimaru who couldn't move or use any jutsus. Orochimaru literally has more kills than itachi. But he was nerfed to make itachi greater

The toad flame bomb with gamabunta is actually in terms of just scale the strongest fire style jutsu shown in the entire series and dark swamp was always one of my favorite jutsu. I really wish kishimoto would have flusehd out orochimarus jutsu arsenal more rather than just have him using snakes 90 percent of the time considering his whole goal was to learn all ninjutsu

Consider the following: sage jiraya said he had surpassed the title of sanin, he then lost violently to pain
Yeah, but the violent loss needs context. He thought he won and took down all the bodies he thought he had to deal with then got sneak attacked and lost and arm! And then still managed to take a body. He could have escaped and was even asked if he wanted to, but preferred to try to stay to try to learn the secret behind them despite knowing the odds were not in his favor.
Also, Pain had knowledge on Jiraiya (literally being taught by Jiraiya) and Jiraiya had little knowledge on Pain.
It isn't like it was a terrible loss, he took down 4 bodies and took down who he thought was his enemy. The fight didn't turn bad for him (indeed it was like he won) until he was sneaked and lost an arm.
While at least an individual sannin < Pain very clearly, it's not like it's super super vast if we take sage mode into account. Jiraiya seemed to think he had good chances if he were to fight the paths 1v1, implying he was at least equal to and likely greater than an individual Path, well at least the paths he was then fighting, and he managed to stop 3 at once which is half the Paths.

It's so weird for Sakura to have already surpassed Tsunade and be relative to Naruto and Sasuke when she started so far behind them and they got so many crazy power ups.

Sakura was fighting til she got the Byakugou just with 30% of her chakra. Also the Byakugou is a pretty op Jutsu even mentioned in Boruto that it‘s a technique that goes back to the rikkou sennin.

Sakura throughout the show fought at 30 percent power. The byagou means you can only use 30 percent of ur chakra and when u unleash that seal that means you gain power that surpasses your peak as its years of chakra giving an exponential amph. Also she’s still weaker. she was relative to them ,but she has disadvantages of the two since they are far more versatile. Also they have an avater while she doesn’t furthermore making her weaker.

All sanin have a link with the Karma seal. Jiraiya had the outside energy absorbtion Tsunade has the Karma pattern ( personal and mental energy compacted in a symbol on the body) Orochimaru has the Karma transfer . All together make a full karma. Think about it.

All three of them at one time were up for hokage and only pervy sage turned it down. When Jiraiya would fight with any of the other two he has the same mindset as naruto when fighting a comrade so he’ll hold back in order to get his point a-crossed and I think we didn’t get to see Jiraiya go all out in order to understand how powerful he truly was.

I love how the Sannins have unique sets of Powers and this is one of the things that I love about the Series. Orochimaru is mainly a Summoner, Jiraiya uses Hax and Tsunade is a Brawler. Obviously it's not all they can do.

According to the Databook, The frog Song Genjutsu is supposed to be the "Strongest" that was revealed so far. Kotamatsukami, Izanami, Izanagi and Infinite Tsukiyomi aside, the Frog Song probably the strongest since it doesn't take a toll on the user unlike Tsukiyomi. It worked on Pain, so this alone is a better hax than anything Orochimaru can do. And Orochimaru CAN infact die. Sasuke killed him but he later revived him through Onko.

I only think Jiraya is slightly stronger in the pain arc because Naruto had all the help, fought a weaker pain, and full knowledge. Jiraya was in the rain village. Fought pain at his strongest. And had 0 help, and fought konan and random other shinobi. Naruto's sage mode is better, but Jiryaya takes it with hacks and battle strategy. With that being said they both still lose to pain. Even Naruto couldn't beat a weaker pain and the nine tails had to.
I would disagree with that tbh. While Jiraiya did fight pain at his strongest, pain could use any of his large scale jutsu or anything that strong out of fear for hurting his village and the people. Also it’s like blatantly stated that naruto had surpassed Jiraiya when he fought pain

So my main argument about tsunade still stands: she’s not as skilled or as fast as zabusa.... she only did as good as she did against madara because madara literally stood motionless and allowed tsunade to hit him.... the second attack tsunade landed was only AFTER mei hit madara’s ribs twice, and then ay hit madara’s ribs towards tsunade, giving tsunade a momentum and gravity advantage.... AND, madara was toying around the whole time. Tsunade scales right next to zabusa....

Sakura definitely should be stronger than tsunade even from a narrative stand point. Tsunade is relative to orochimaru and jiraiya. Sakura is stated to be relative to naruto and sasuke(kcm2 and ems). Her feats, statements from other characters like the hashirama one you mentioned, and naruto saying he is never going to make Sakura angry again(this wouldn’t be in reference to that punch cause Sakura would never punch naruto that hard. So if naruto doesn’t even want to take a baby petty Sakura punch, I think he would differently get seriously damaged by the actual punch where he made this statement) should put her above tsunade comfortably. Sakura is a beast honestly and I wish her character/ role is the story/ personality was better cause she would be one of my favorite characters

Maybe it's time to scrap "Kage Level" as a category indicating combat strength, given that, as you correctly point out, the Kage are extremely inconsistent in terms of power level. A Kage is the strongest fighter and most capable leader a village has to offer at any given point in time. But that also means that weak and small villages are going to have weaker Kage than stronger villages. Some Kage are at mid-to-high Jonin level, some are at or above Sannin level, and Naruto himself frankly proves just how useless the category is, as he's either at or near a Demigod level of power during most of his reign.
In other words; it makes more sense to say that there are Kage that are at, above and below Sannin level, as "Sannin Level" is a consistent category, than it does to say that the Sannin are Kage level, when there are obviously Kage above and below their level. In conclusion, "Kage Level" is a useless term when trying to scale characters, because we don't know whether it means Prime Hashirama or 5 Kage Summit Mei. And it's probably fair to argue that each individual Sannin is probably stronger than the majority of Kage throughout history. Especially considering that both Jiraya and Tsunade are considered for the position, at a time when Konoha is generally considered the strongest village.
TL;DR, let's scrap "Kage Level" as a scaling tool. It can mean anything from Jonin to Kaguya/Demigod level. Instead, let's use Sannin level as a tool for ranking the Kage, as it has a far more consistent definition.
Kage level is still a good general reference point as to say someone is above jonin, a rank which even you used as a reference point in your argument but has the same drawback; eg: jonin like Kurenai and Sai being the same rank as Kakashi and Guy despite the obvious difference in skill, rep, and power output.
Tbh kage level never really made that much sense to me since pretty much all kage chosen are just really high jonin level

Tsunades feats are still superior to Jiraiyas tho. And I don‘t think you spent enough time to analyze her power.
1. A rusty Tsunade who spend (after the death of Dan) around 20 years just with drinking and gambling. Were able to beat Kabuto (who‘s stated by both Orochimaru and Jiraiya being at the same level as Kakashi) if he didn’t used her weaknesses (fear of blood). Orochimaru and Kabuto were even scared to search her. Before the battle between Kabuto and Tsunade begun they ran away from her just for keeping her tired. Kabuto increased his skills with a foodpill and had informations about Tsunades abilities just for keeping up with her. Not to mention that in the manga she one punched Orochimaru and the fight was over. Orochimaru the one who toyed with 4 Tails Naruto.
2. Speed: Yes, Tsunade might be not the fastest but she is fast. Faster as Jiraiya. Tsunade while being rusty was able to outspeed Kabuto multiple times even tho her muscles were cut by Kabutos chakrablade. Even after being cut and stabbed multiple times by Orochimaru, she reacted fast enough to protect Naruto and attacking Orochimaru ( and this was a tired and rusty Tsunade). During the fight against Madara Tsunade were the only Kage that reacted fast enough to block Madaras Katon Jutsu. Someone like the freaking Raikage couldn’t.
3. Chakra: no one of the Sanin is touching her at chakra. Tsunade had enough Chakra to heal her whole ass village during Pain‘s Attack. She gave Katsuyu all her chakra to save to people from one of pains most powerful Jutsu. At vs. Madara she was healing her own team, her self and spending them chakra multiple times while keeping her self young. Her Chakrareserves are that high that she alone was enough to spend Oonoki chakra to destroy over 25 Susannos. And after they got asswhooped by Madara, she were the only one who woke up. Conjuring Katsuyu to heal them + herself while being cut in half.
4. Tai-Jutsu; I think this is debatable between Jiraiya and Tsunade. But even Jiraiya said that no one (during there time) could match Tsunade at medical nin and Tai-Jutsu. I always seemed like that her close combat skills were superior to there’s.
5. Hax/Jutsus: You simple can‘t kill her that easy lol. Kakashi who is known for his hax and his area of jutsus have nothing shown (expect kamui) that is dangerous for her. She can heal herself like nothing. Also Kastuyu can tank almost everything and her acid is strong enough to kill Orochimaru (his own statement) The guy who can’t be really killed. Sakura during her novel could heal her half destroyed body +
regenerated her whole arm and tanked a Bijuu-bomb thanks to the Byakugou Seal.
It‘s true that Madara hold back in the beginning. But this makes her achievements not less worth. Like cracking Madaras Susanno like nothing, one punched and compete Susanno down while having blades in her stomach and blocking Madaras Katon Justu (which was supposed to kill the 5 Kage) with her bar hands. Tsunade dosen‘t needs hax like Jiraiya or Orochimaru. Her stamina and strength is all she needs and she still can match them.

I think Tsunade was still stronger than Sakura in terms of healing and maybe strength. There was a moment where Sakura tried to heal Shikamaru while amped by KCM cloak and was unable to help him, then along came Tsunade and healed him under like 5 seconds.

Giving tsunade a momentum and gravity advantage.... don’t make it sound like tsunade was bullying madara because “the will of fire boosted her speed and strength and skill to be on par with the other Kage surrounding her”....

Orochimaru states multiple times in the show he wants to learn ALL jutsu! This is also stated in the data books. Not some jutsu, ALL jutsu! Wouldn’t you consider trying to learn a jutsu mid-fight proves orochimaru was holding back significantly. And the anime shows orochimaru has FOUR edo tensei that he’s summoned (A kazekage, and an edo he questions about being Magnet-style user toroi)..... who were summoned before his fight with Hiruzen.... yet orochimaru only tries to summon 3 when facing... so all this proves that orochimaru was holding back SIGNIFICANTLY against Hiruzen and orochimaru could have killed Hiruzen at ANY point, had orochimaru not been trying to learn the reaper death seal.....
I don't think he stopped the third Edo Tensei. I think the Edo Tensei failed because Minato's soul was trapped by the Reaper Death Seal.

Hiruzen was trained by the man that invented the edo tensei jutsu. AND, Hiruzen is stated to know EVERY jutsu in the hidden leaf. Like I said, if you go to my channel, there’s more proof I show from the anime, that explains how the edo tensei must be summoned a first time before it’s summoned to be used in combat. So if it was minato that orochimaru was trying to use against Hiruzen, it would have failed during the sacrifice stage. In conclusion: there’s more evidence to support Hiruzen stopped the 3rd coffin than any other conclusion!
@@GodlyShinobi He said he needed to stop it. That doesn't mean he did. Plus, the Reaper Death Seal fate for Minato was a retcon, so even if Hiruzen stopping it was the initial intention, it is no longer the case.

Imo they had the biggest impact on the war, arguably a bigger impact than Naruto. Without them the shinobi alliance woulda got curbstomped many, many times. Yeah they were summoned by orochimaru but orochimaru himself did nothing in the war. And likewise, every enemy but kabuto and obito were reanimations summoned by kabuto, madara included. Kabuto got cleaned up and did nothing in the war. If you're trying to say that he's strong because of his summons that would be like saying me as a 60yo man is strong because I have a son who can bench press 400lbs. That doesn't really make ME strong ya know?

If Itachi went to the rain village to fight pain he'd get raped. He'd struggle against the animal path alone. His amaterasu gets absorbed by preta,all of his ninjutsu gets absorbed by preta. If his totsuka blade and susanoo are both chakra they should be absorbed by preta too but I don't know if it's even chakra or not so his only win condition is the susanoo. Let me reiterate I don't know if he can absorb susanoo he probably can't.
their shared vision means Itachi wouldn't even be able to hit pain and we saw sage Naruto and sage jiriaya who are both extremely fast not be able to do much against the shared vision of the pains.
