Well I just spent 8 hours today working on the 4runner. I got the pods holes cut out for the 6 5 Focal Flax's. Used neo DD tweets for those pods. Front doors I ran kicker wire thru the rubber wiring loom. Did this for all front stage and rear doors. Front doors are Focal mid bass neo ISN 6.5s. Then I ran the speaker wires thru back door looms for some Focal 130AC 5 1/4s. Also got the holes cut in the door panels for the Infiniy kappa 20MX 2.5s and mounted them. Oh and ran another set of really nice kicker rca jacks...I too like you use different brands so I know what is what just by brand or wiring colors alone. I thought that was cool you do that as well. Old school bassheads know the tricks huh lol. Great vid sir! I keep telling myself why on earth don't I record and throw my build on and honestly it's the editing.. I'm clueless and it seems daunting.. it's it all?? You inspire me man, keep pushing. I have Addison's disease and other stuff and I'm always dragging and pushing thru. I seen you and the cancer and chemo and still rebuilding getting the bass back up and going and it got me to build my back floor/amp rack. I did actually do a RUclips short on it lol. 1st I've ever done. Maybe that's why I need to do. Just do shorts... hmmm....
Bro I've been following you for a while. I got 2 Recoil audio Di.1200.4 running 2 PRV midrange 6x9s speakers in the front doors and 2 Deaf bonce hybrid 6x9s in the rear doors 4 8 inch PRV midbass in a stunt box 4 Orion XTR 3 way 6x9s in a stunt box on a Fosgate Power 400.4 and a pair of Audiopipe super Tweeter horns on a Fosgate Prime 500.4. Sundown Salt 4k on a pair of U series 15s.. Adding the 8 inch midbass took my system to the next level. Vocals and midbass is crazy from my Deaf bonce 6x9s and PRV 8s...
A midrange driver needs to be rolled off with an air core coil as they play higher than a midbass. A properly crossed over mid with subwoofers sound cleaner than a midbass in my opinion.
Yup I have 8” midbass in my front doors and I like them better than the midrange of same speaker since more midbass and not as bright since I have pillar 3.5” to help on midrange so it blends nice. Tweeters are in both doors as well as pillars so highs are good. If you run straight db midrange it will be super loud and can get bright lol? Man I’m liking that machete midbass not too bright it nice. They make a 8” in that model? Just don’t think they would take the power like my Arnold wa81a can but I’m liking the way they sound
Because its not using a crossover coil! I run cerwinvega 6.5 midrange and Dayton audio 1.25 tweeters with a 12 inch nvx sub in my 2021 corolla hybrid.I believe any bass above 60hz should come from a good subwoofer pushed with plenty of power.
the lw65's will roll of naturally at about 3k, so you can do either. if you run them full range, i fins that with a tweeter set at about 4-5k and up the overall sound is very nice, kind of scooped, like you have a V on the eq.
the mid bass speaker lost the vocal range if you want to make it sound more natural, the Mid range doesn't have as much bass as the other but with a little EQ boost i think it's gonna sound more natural than the other one.
Its better to do a 3 way system, and bringing the speakers higher gets you better/louder sound, the mids in these videos are just that, mids, they dont produce bass nor will they ever produce it, just not made for it, the best option would be a 3 way system, so, both drivers in here plus a tweet, to get the ultimate sound
@CarAudioEnthusiasts I appreciate all your videos! I can hear the imbalance in my door speakers of my 2018 f150 super crew. I'm running Kenwood Concert series 5-way 6x9s(front) and 6.5s 2-way(rear) without an amp. I want to finally add a 4 channel amp and an LC2i Pro LOC. The Rockford Fosgate P3 shallow sub in a sealed box is ok, but I'm considering something else that will hit better notes. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Have a great day!

awesome setup man!
If your looking depth ,& detail & bass go with the Lw65a4. If your looking for vocal & presence go with the mmv2
I really dig your channel..appreciate the info👍

@@philipeli1192 agreed. Mid range > mid bass. To me a subwoofer box probably spec can play most note’s properly.

What brand do you use. I have pioneer pro 8s in my door but I definitely prefer the midbass sound.
Deaf bonce Arnold ap w81a I like them they have an updated w81ac now but I’m gonna try the sundown vex 8” next .
If I put mids all around my car, can a subwoofer take care of the rest???
So I have another question can I run the med base and the med range together on the same amp the MFA 4.320
sure, as long as you can control the cossovers seperately
very intresting based on what i heard doing a simple setup I would run 2 midbass in the front and 2 midrange in the rear.
Or all of them in the front
Keep the stage upfront
To me, the midbass combo sounds so much better. The midrange is just so bright.
i agree, its pretty sexy, if i had 4 of them theyd be in my doors

could you reply with the frequency rsponse of each of there speakers Please.
Question, would i run the lw65a4 in full range or hp filter

actually with a 3inch mid the midbass ones rock hard

I was wondering, who was the music that you played as far as the name of the song and the man goes?
@@chuckrogers2581 all stuff i created using AI, and audacity
Can we get a video on midrange + sub bass vs midbass + sub bass
Hmmmm
In my quest for sq I think I need some midbass instead of component speakers.
probably, thats where a lot of systems are falling short. specifically front bass.
