I second @Gamimg Dragons . Good work expression the creeping quiet of the vague and to the electric fear of something so primal through the eyes of a child. The hiding under and covers self talk, the creaking closet and the saddest, watching his parents lovingly express their helplessness as they disappeared-- excellent for connecting the story to the readers's own fears.
I see sleep paralysis demons are a popular theme among many SCPs. The quality of this one was great and definitely improved, especially the smoke effect, as well as the glowing eyes.
I had very bad sleep paralysis when I was younger due to some poor lifestyle choices. I found this terrifying. Genuinely a little afraid of going to sleep. Haven't felt that in several decades. Especially the way they worked in the whole "if you don't move in 30 minutes" thing. Because the only thing you can do when you're in that situation is remind yourself it's not real. This story is eerily familiar. When I was a little boy, I remember my first bout of sleep paralysis. I lie there on the bed, staring into the darkness of the ceiling. There was a pressure growing on my chest, and it became harder to breather. A figure appeared in my peripheral vision, but I couldn’t make out any details. Just a dark shadow and the feeling that someone was there. At first, I remember thinking it was just my mom, since sometimes she would stay with me in my room to help me fall asleep. I often suffered from night terrors, after all. But that’s when it occurred to me. She didn’t stay with me that night. She was out of town visiting my grandmother, and she wouldn’t be home until tomorrow afternoon. Also, my father was passed out drunk on the living room floor again. No, this wasn’t my mom or dad. At this point, I felt a cold hand press itself against my forehead. It felt like wet leather, and it smelled like it too. Long fingers wrapped around my skull and began squeezing it, tighter and tighter, till I thought my head was going to burst. I tried to scream, but nothing came out. The pain was unbearable, or was that just the fear? It’s hard to differentiate the two in situations like this. Then I heard a crunch. The sound of my skull cracking. The pressure grew stronger and stronger after this, it felt like my head was filling up with warm water. I remember thinking how it could be the yolk of an egg, in such a shocked state. Then another crunch and the pain went away. There was just blackness. It was a seamless transition. At this point, I didn’t feel scared anymore. I was… I guess the best way I could describe it was I felt at peace. I woke up the next morning with a throbbing headache. The light from the window stung my eyes. But that’s never happened before, since the sun doesn’t rise from... I realized that I was in the hospital. My mom was there, tears in her eyes. She was happy to see I was awake. I asked her what happened, and she just muttered “it was daddy, he is going to jail now, sweetie.” I reached up to scratch my head, it felt very itchy. There was no hair. Just a bandage wrapped around my skull, and a thick brace around my neck. This couldn’t be happening. Why would dad do this? I closed my eyes to cry. And then opened them, in my room. There was no injury to my head, there was no sign of thrashing about in my sleep, either. Usually there would at least be a pillow on the floor. My mom returned home earlier than I had expected, because I could smell eggs cooking downstairs. I was relieved it was all just a terrible nightmare, but it felt so real… About 6 months later, my dad died from a car crash via DUI. Man, that takes me back. Had a lot of nightmares when I was little, up until I was a teenager. The worst nightmares were the ones, where I was at my home, my parent's house. I learned to actively avoid it as I know that things would go really bad in my dream, if I woke up or approached my old home in them. Then there were always the things that hunted me. It was even worse when my father appeared in those dreams. I was often terrified of him in real life, and more so in my nightmares. So I learned two things: #1 How to pull me out of and wake up from any kind of dream. #2 How to manifest all kinds of weapons and firepower in my dreams to crush anything that tries to harm me.
I remember having really vivid and horrific nightmares as a kid (5-8). What was odd was as I got older (13-16), I started having the same vivid nightmares in the same order. This time, however, I started fighting. Anything from beating the shit out of the monsters to the dream itself. An example was when I got in my dad's truck, I remembered how that dream eventually turned into a nightmare. I turned to my dad and said, "Dad...I know this is a dream and how it's going to turn into a nightmare. Do you mind if I talk to my brain or whatever to stop it?". He stopped smiling and pulled out his phone. He made a call and started talking with someone. He said something like, "He knows." And passed the phone to me after a moment. I grabbed it and put it up to my ear. I heard something breathing heavily on the other end. I asked "Hello?". I didn't hear a response, so I stated that, "It's time to wake up.". I think the breathing stopped for a second, then continued. After that, I said, "Thank you!" and hung up. I looked over back at my dad and thanked him. He said, "You're welcome and goodbye.". I instantly woke up after he said that.
I had something similar. I had a dream where a monster would run up the stairs from the garden. I would pull down the shutters and lock the glass door to stop it. It would claw its way into the living room but I had just enough time to run to the stairs that led to the second floor. I would run up the stairs but fall and then crawl up. The creature would grab my anckle and try to pull me up. Sometimes I died, sometimes I made it to the secobd floor where I would sit down with my parents and it would disapear. I had this dream around a hundred times in total until I started fighting back. I slowly became a lucid dreamer until I cut off its head with a katana after a few times it got scared and left me alone. Now over 10 years later I am a lucid dreamer who has almost full control over his dreams and can manifest weapons out of thin air in my dreams to defend myself.
I love your SCP story!!! It's super cool to me! I know it might not be entertaining to others but it is super entertaining to me!!! And I love your videos and content!! The animation of the SCP and SCP foundation is the best to me!
Hell yeah! Love how you cover lesser known SCPs and don't just recite the file word-for-word, but make it your own unique coverage of the file. Keep makin' em and well keep watchin' em!
This is definitely based on sleep paralysis, I've experienced those exact feelings before, the the loud screeching sounds, unbearable pain, seeing what you fear, feeling as if your eyes are opened and being able to see your room but in reality that's just your mind, your eyes aren't open, you aren't actually moving, I know that my eyes weren't open cause I had sleep paralysis right next to my father and when I said I saw him and was trying to get his attention by moving my legs and hitting the bed but in reality I only lifted my leg once, he said my eyes weren't open I was just there sleeping like normal, I hardly get them now but is has gotten harder to get up from, before I used to just raise my leg and I'm awake, now I have to be moving my legs as fast as I can just to get my heart rate up to get me up, and for the pain I feel, it's like having a knife plunge into your back, but when your are awake, it's all gone, the screeching sounds are just too much, it be so loud
Now I'm really sure that Dr. Bob was an SCP himself after he scared SCP-080 😅. By the way, this was a very cool video! Lol, for the first time, my comment had reach 200 likes 😅
I'm betting Dr. Bob is not only an SCP, but the absolute strongest SCP in existence as well as a member of the highest position in the foundation. I wouldn't be surprised if he could even end the hard to destroy reptile but chose not to for research purposes
That run cycle on the wolf was *so* clean- do you do these animations by yourself? Or is this channel like a team of people? Either way the quality of these videos and attention to detail is crazy good!
"dream running" very slow and such. That happens to me when punching in a dream, its very slow and weak when i know i can actually do some damage. It's a sucky feeling.
Hands down I always love the ends of the videos, where our, probably, handsome Dr.Bob is either chilling with or scaring the SCPs. It gives both a sense of interaction and a more lighthearted feel to end off the video, and is part of the reason he is one of the few creators I have notifications turned on for.
The description of that nightmare is like... er... i had nightmares like that when we found out my grandmother's cancer was terminal. Bravo man. Bravo. It takes a special something to pull emotion out of nothing.
Even though I've never really experienced nightmares (idk why, I just dont get them), I remember trying to run in dreams, and it was like trying to run through honey, exactly as the animation depicts it. Then I found out I could control the dreams and I was so happy. hasn't bothered me since. I suspect (hope) the people immune to it are lucid dreamers.
Paralysis demons are pretty scary. One time, I woke up from a dream I can't remember and for a moment, I thought I heard Sirenhead and saw its silhouette out my window. After a few long seconds, I blinked and it was gone. I didn't sleep again for the rest of the night.
So scary! I saw a shadow entity in my room when I was three or four. I screamed and my parents came in my room and turned on the lights. I was diagnosed with spinal cancer when I was four and had surgery. I haven't seen anything like that since, but it still rattles me.

Ye, Dr Bob did good job On vid, however 280 is much More sinister and better than this one, i feel like they just copied this one from it and tell its different when it is very similar
That's amazing that creature kind of resembles the monster I used to have in my night terrors when I was a little kid. The difference would be that it usually was a large thick cloud that had multiple glowing eyes. I used to call it the wall of eyes. Plus I would often know when it would come like I could almost hear it, a low drumming sound similar to an old generator just starting up. All those strangely it didn't and did have the ability to put me to sleep in a way. I usually was able to get out of bed. But I think it was just a vivid dream it was unusual how it almost seamlessly blend with reality. But I would try to run down to my parents' bedroom but they would be gone. That was also the same as for my sisters, while I was a little kid. With the beds perfectly made almost like they weren't slept in at all. It caught me on numerous occasions and I even spoke to it numerous times it always claimed that it wanted to eat me. But strangely enough I would pass out from fear and wake up in my bed drenched and sweat. It did not really eat me directly, strange enough instead I would try to avoid being pulled into a swirling Mass that often formed around the window closest to my bed. I always kind of thought those were vivid dreams. But one thing that stand out. When I was a little kid I used to be very good and put my toys away in my toy box. But every time when it came I will find my toys all around the room like they've been played with. My mom got mad at me a lot of times thinking I didn't put my toys away but I was absolutely adamant I did.

That's... unsettling.

Love the ending, no one messes with the Doc
IRL try praying (I've heard it works), in the SCP universe ur probably screwed
Now I'm really sure that Dr. Bob was an SCP himself after he scared SCP-080 😅. By the way, this was a very cool video!
Lol, for the first time, my comment had reach 200 likes 😅
Agreed
🤣 I always wondered if he was
@@dtayplays 😂😂 In the other video he even shoved a rubber ducky on SCP-153's mouth, forcing it to sink back into the drainage
Yeah it would make an interesting Plot twist if it was
I'm betting Dr. Bob is not only an SCP, but the absolute strongest SCP in existence as well as a member of the highest position in the foundation. I wouldn't be surprised if he could even end the hard to destroy reptile but chose not to for research purposes
Its already night here in Europe and this makes it even more scary
This has got to be one of my favourite videos so far. Great job as usual dr bob!
And that's why you should let your kids sleep with the TV on.
That run cycle on the wolf was *so* clean- do you do these animations by yourself? Or is this channel like a team of people? Either way the quality of these videos and attention to detail is crazy good!
It was a single person, but they've been recruiting people
Man Dr Bob you scare the most feared and the most evil SCP anomalies
280 is better, i feel like they just copied this one from it and tell its different when it is very similar
The art style is improving every videos
Little red riding hood never was scary, until this animation and how you explained it
Have you considered expanding into horror fiction? The opening story is a work of art.
"dream running" very slow and such. That happens to me when punching in a dream, its very slow and weak when i know i can actually do some damage. It's a sucky feeling.
I love this so much!!!! Can't wait until the next one!
It's absolutely beyond me how a parent would read their child red riding hood, knowing DAMN WELL that they already have nightmares
The animation keeps improving after every video, I personally really enjoyed the intro with the twilight
This was one of the best scp videos yet. Good job dr bob :)
Dr.bob tells stories so good!
Love your SCP content! So great
I love how you mix the horror in with youre videos
Thanks dr bob!
That’s a pretty spooky story
awesome! the art in the animations is amazing in this one
Man I cant believe how for he has come since his very first video all the way to this! He is so dedicated to his fans!
Awesome work on the animations once again, also a great SCP chosen for this episode, keep up the good work
You really should make a playlist with the music you use in your videos, it definitely adds to the tension, excitement and explanation !
Whatever impression you called upon for the wolf at 9:38 is incredible. I can't place it, though. It sounds like Elias Toufexis or Steve Blum.
I was just thinking that. I loved it

i was just watching your old videos when you posted and the animation has improved so much!!! i love watching all your videos!!
I love how the videos are changing, especialy that they are getting longer. I cant wait to see 20 min video, then 25 and 30! Keep it up, I love your work and your voice is really calming
When I was very young I also saw similar shadows in my room lurking around and I even could feel them pulling and biting my legs and arms, when I got older they disappeared. It is fascinating how strong imagination you have as a kid.
That's not a imagination my friend
Same how
Hmmmm
I've been following you since the first vid and HOLY CRAP the quality of these videos have skyrocketed. The music, the very real anxiety, even the animation and recording quality. Hats off bro
Its amazing how your videos are so entertaining that it feels like I've been watching for 5 minutes even though its been 20. Great job, Bob!
i’ve become obsessed with SCPs because of this channel, no one does these creepy stories like dr bob does
This is a very interesting and terrifying SCP well done
Dr. Bob

at first i was scared of new art style but when I saw those ppl
those roughly drawn ppl ,its amazing
thats like the best art style for me
whatever u do please dont change how rough people look in these animations
You keep getting better and better! Me and my daughter love your videos. Let’s keep diving deeper into the SCP foundations classified archives!!!

Aghh this is so good! I’ve taken to rewatching all of your animations again because they are so well made and interesting to watch!
true it is very good
Dr. Bob you are THE BEST SCP channel (imo). You know how to fill out the need & fix for these type of SCP. My friend thank you for your relentless & top tier videos!! 🤩
this reminded me, I had a dream last night that was super scary, and I remember thinking it was an scp but when I woke up I realized there was no scp like it. kinda want to write it into an scp.
Now im interested tell me your dream
I will say that the animation combined with dr. Bob's voice really makes these stories feel scarier or more effective in a way
high quality, as always. Your what ever youtuber strives to be. Your a cool dude with high quality videos
Thank you for having subtitles Dr Bob, the effort you put into your work is amazing
Thanks!
Thank you!!!
@@Dr_Bob you’re welcome Doc 😎
I really feel Dr Bob has brought SCP to its next level. The artstyle, the storytelling, and the narrator all came together for something that stands on its own.
It's a whole new dimension to the community that's reminiscent of a Monster of the Week show from the 90s. I love this channel, it's so unique and well done. You have something amazing in your hands with this Dr Bob, be proud of this.
Ye, Dr Bob did good job On vid, however 280 is much More sinister and better than this one, i feel like they just copied this one from it and tell its different when it is very similar
Keep up with the content man!
Its a good day when bob uploads
I was gonna go back to bed after a quick poopoo time and then there is THIS. Luckily I don't have nightmares anymore or... ever had any.
Love this new story NCP , but i must say everyone nose look ... pointly weird .
The rest however look better ! Like the light effect , smooth animation/transition etc ! Lot of improve in a short time !
Good job doc
Glad I checked back in on your channel your animation has gotten so much better I have been binge watching new episodes all day thank you for the great videos and great storytelling!
Absolutely outstanding thanks Dr.Bob! 🙂 you're channel is awesome!!!😎🤘
Screw the mother for not finishing the story.
I honestly like this rewritten version of this scip as it adds more to the anomaly than just some sort of dark form.
Will there ever be an ending that shows Dr. Bob falling victim to the SCP shown? Doubtful!
I don't know maybe but it might be for like the last video that he makes

Dr. Bob is an SCP himself, confirmed.
Great content as always.
Thank you Dr Bob.😎😎

❤️ This was actually a legitimately scary animation of Little Red Riding Hood.
Now I wouldn’t call the animation quality amazing but Dr. Bob is quite literally the only horror, creepypasta, SCP channel whatever that has animation that is visually pleasing. Every other animation scp channel had cheesy animation and narration that tries way to hard to be scary by trying to be deep and creepy.
As a person with generalized anxiety, this SCP scares the sh*t out of me.
May I ask for the soundtracks you use? They are so atmospheric I would love to listen to them between episodes. Great work btw, I eagerly look forward to every episode!
Wow. Your art is so gorgeous, it's been wonderful to see your style develop and your skill improve! Thank you for sharing, it always makes my day better when I see you've uploaded.
When I was a young child, I’d lay in between my parents because my room wasn’t finished being furnished and redone. This one night I was laying awake while they slept and I saw this black figure in the doorway. It would walk in the room up to the bed. I’d be so terrified I’d shut my eyes and when I opened them again it would start all over. That night is seared into my brain
Most likely you had bad dreams during this era and your brain is creating false memories , which is very common and happens to most people , false memories can feel so real but in reality its your brain putting logical pieces to a unique creative puzzle and thats all it is.
@@ghostgamingxd7881 Damn but it just is something I’ve always remembered and would pop up and my head every couple years. Maybe it morphed into this memory over the years.
You don't fuck with Dr. Bob, this video is by far the best one yet. Thank you Dr. Bob and keep up the great work.
