In this mission we plan attempt to strike Minakh but I end up spending to much time fumbling around trying to get the Mavericks to lock (this is why we practice 😂). After we discuss future plans and attacks and do a quick debrief using Tacview to end the Sortie! I hope you enjoy, and please leave your feedback in the comments below!
@Jabbers: set your ground troops at Hatay to "Breakthrough" - speeds up the frontline progression. Once no AI ground units are at the enemy base, your AI ground forces have to literally set foot on the liberated airfield - that's how the capture mechanic works. Also, keep the content coming. I love your attitude!
...another "pro tip": you get a Combined Arms slot AND the option to command troops from the cockpit. So after reducing the defenses (taking out armor) you can command your ground forces while still sitting in the cockpit (F10 map) to mop up lighter stuff and AAA etc. ultimately taking the airfield.
@Jabbers individual weapon inventory management is a major system that's difficult to get right, and likely a long way out. A simpler logistics system is in the roadmap now though, and will bring more meaning to things like depot strikes. Love your videos, thanks for featuring Liberation!
Jabbers thought I would let you know. I Uninstalled everything dcs beta, vocieattack, vaicomm pro ,srs, tacview and reinstalled all and tried dynamic liberation and got it to work. Figured out what happened. It corrupted the mission script Lua. And dcs beta repair doesn't catch it and fix it. Liberation gives you a copy of original and didn't know it so i didn't have to unistall everything oh well. Let any future viewers know this if they have this issue. Anyway. Thanks for trying to help got a new vkb mch pro with gunfight mk3 so will be setting it up as well this week with installing and setting my dcs back up. Hope to see you in the skies soon buddy. Usually in my fav bird the f-14b. Look for calling hollywood5150vh. By the way I watch all your videos great job buddy
Something to add on to the logistical side you mentioned around 7:30 is having a tracker that tracks munitions. If an F-15 takes off with 6 120Cs and gets shot down without firing them, BOOM, 6 less 120Cs in your inventory. Came back with 3 out of the 6 120s and successfully landed? Those 3 120s go back in your munitions depot. Then every couple of days, a C-130 comes in and resupplies that specific base with munitions.
I believe one of your issues might have been that your mavs were never boresighted to the T-pod. That's a must-do now if you want the automatic handoff to work.
Keep 'em coming. I've had better luck with fewer but larger CAP flights. Instead of multiple pairs, I'll send them in 3 or 4 in a flight, maybe it helps overwhelm their two-ships.
Hi, new to DCS & new to Jabbers (directed here by a friend) what is this dynamic campaign system called? I'm not ready for it yet, but would def like to head in this direction. Cheers
Nah the tpod was locked onto a target and the mav was slaved to it, soon as I unlocked the tpod it started working. Spent a lot of time offline practicing so next time should go a lot smoother
@@Jabbers yeah I actually thpight you might need to un-lock but I'm not familiar with the 16 and when I commented, the MAV screen looked like it was trying to slew off by the right wing. As soon as I finished watching the whole thing I thought it may be a unlock issue, as soon as you said you pressed something and it worked...
AI vs AI fights are awful if your side is using Fox 3s. The other guy will fire a Fox 1 and your AI will immediately go full defensive without shooting their own missile. If they beat the Fox 1 the enemy will just fire another immediately and your AI will again go full defensive, and this continues until your AI gets splashed without shooting even one of its AMRAAMs.
@@Jabbers yeah it doesn't happen every time, but enough to be annoying. The tomcat ai is less bad because it fires from so far away optimally, but against pop-up threats the ai really likes to turn cold at bad times and open themselves up.
If you're having flights that don't take off, double check that the airfield they're meant to be taking off from is owned by your coalition in the mission editor before you start. The reasoning behind this is because the triggers (specifically the ones used to start the flights that aren't immediately launched) have an "Airfield is owned by coalition" check as well as the "Time is more than X" check. I spent about an hour yesterday trying to work out why my B-1B strike package wouldn't take off after the listed 8 minutes before figuring this out. Keep up the great content, though! Really enjoyable stuff. I'd recommend buying some F-117A units at some point, they're pretty decent at night-time strikes in DCS.

Sweet tip man, I will try that. Thanks!!!!

I love how Jabber suggests munition limitations and quantities that Jane's F-15 sim from the 90s did.
Ha thought you were talking about something else with my previous comment, yes limitations would be awesome and give meaning to capturing ammo depots

And Longbow 2 and FA/18 - was a key element in mission planning. Jane's had so much nailed.
Awesome! Right on time... Best after work, evening entertainment :)
Loving these videos man.
Keep it coming!
Good one. Keep going. A lot I learn from watching !
Can't wait for the next one. Thanks Jabbers.

Nice man glad you got it working
Great to see you uploading again Jabbers!

I am having troubles with hand-off mavs as well. It’s weird. Anyway, keep up the awesome videos! :)
Ya, i just practiced a bunch, i think i got it all figured out, maybe the next video we can do a SEAD/DEAD on those SA-11s and i can show how

🦃 gobbling this up!

Good idea I'll try that out
@@Jabbers cool! I look forward to the tracview and seeing if I'm full of it ;)
Awesome, was just thinking this would be a great tool to generate missions for a bunch of friends

Dcs liberation
Couldn’t slew it because of maverick seeker head gimbal limits 🤓

What mission editor are you using? I'm seeing more and more videos with this editor format and mine looks like the same off DCS mission editor?
Dcs liberation, see the first video in this series
I knew u were gonna get swarmed lol, that Hsi, I would have sown AI, combat.. Remeber you got Viewers, Also... CUT THE TAXI, GOL
