honestly ap physics 1 is hard not because of the concepts but because the questions are always so convoluted and hard to understand. once you figure out what the question is even asking you’re probably fine but that’s once you get there lol. ap chem is definitely way harder tho
Hot take but I would argue that Physics 1 and 2 are actually a lot harder than the C's. In C there's more math which you can use to hide not totally understanding the content. In Physics C, as long as you generally understand how to use all the formulas on the formula sheet and as long as you're good with Calc AB-level calc, you can do fine. Physics 1 and 2 actually require you to understand concepts in a way that is much harder to BS. The curve is also far more generous on the C's, and since the C's together are designed to be taken over one year instead of two (like Physics 1+2), there's way less content. E&M makes no sense, but the E&M FRQs are so consistent (always electrostatics, then circuits, then weird magnet shit) that studying to the test is doable. The cherry on top is that more colleges give credit for the C's than 1/2 anyway.

dude i was like intently following your info until you said physics 1 is pretty straightforward and that "you'll grasp the concepts", my mans you overestimate people's ability to grasp a concept. Like not me I loved taking physics but the kids in my class bro, i almost felt pity for them how much they struggled throughout the year. Physics is one of those classes where there isn't that much content per se as some of the others but by its nature all the concepts need to sort of click in your mind for you to truly understand it. That's it. You can't get away with memorization. It's impossible.
Lollll I agree that its impossible to get through with memorization but the concepts are for sure a lot more concrete than any of the other APs (although if you don't understand trigonometry it's gonna be a lot harder) :D
i’m a sophomore and i’ve taken ap chinese, which is my family’s language so it was kinda easy, and currently taking ap physics. i took ap world for like a month and then dropped it after my first test cuz let’s just say it was rlly painful. but oml physics is so hard it’s literally my 13th reason. i thought it would be just plugging into formulas and shit but instead i gotta derive the equations myself??? smh. and for non-native speakers or ppl who don’t speak chinese at home, ap chinese is practically impossible like i speak chinese at home everyday and literally died, but ig it was worth it cuz i got a 5 lol.
Easy to hardest for me and I just finished HS: 1. AP psych=literally the most useful and applicable AP out there. Test is literally jsut a 2 hr vocab test. Teacher was absolute dogshit though. So I self studied and got a 5. 2. WHAP=did Euro in 10th grade and took this test thus year (12th grade) because euro credits didn’t transfer. Pretty much review from euro with a hint of some Islamic/Asian history I didn’t know-but nothing too hard. 3. AP Lang: nice teacher but tough grader so essays were almost never perfect scores but was a great class, helped boost my writing fs. Also argumentative essays were my favorite because I could literally insert any kind of reference so long it fit the prompt (I talked about this one guy who was the only non native Japanese member of my favorite rock band and tied it to how multilingual people are better than monolingual speakers) 4. AP euro: first AP class, humbled me hard. Teacher was both tough grader and somewhat of a jackass (he’s the coolest person though if you can catch his nice side, but it was Covid so-). Was really hard at first but as we got to the end, everything made sense and was relatively okay. I wouldn’t go through that shit that’s fs but I’m glad I took it because all the other APs I did were somewhat easier after that. 5.AP Bio: not good teacher so I didn’t know what was happening for most part. Bsed majority of my test and shock to find I passed with a 3. 6. AP Chem: so I took regular Chem 10th grade, AP bio 11th then did AP Chem 12th because of scheduling conflict (I was supposed to do honors physiology). Teacher was really rushing everything so we had so basically finish a unit a week/2 weeks. Test was pretty bad but I think I should maybe get at least a 2-3. Now the exam is over she makes us coffee and breakfast every time we see her. 7. AP stat: holy shit never fucking again. I hate this class, didn’t like the teacher (taught well but he wasn’t following AP curriculum or format which resulted in us ltierally not knowing how to answer frqs). I don’t even know if i passed that test but oh well. I feel for the trap to take AP stats cause it’s easier than Calc. Fuck nah I shoulda done Calc. It actually made me realize I had a better chance at passing AP Japanese Lang and I’m only at beginner level 💀
Oh hii I’m a freshman taking AP environmental science. I don’t even know how I got into the class like I’m dumb 😭so far it’s pretty hard especially because my teacher teaches like college
for the classes i’ve taken so far here’s my list 1. Ap Spanish Lang (my native language is spanish so this class was hella easy and I just took the test and it was super easy it just took like 6 hours to fucken take. the work was okay it was mostly practicing but I recommend taking it if your already a spanish speaker cuz it’ll be super easy) 2. Ap Gov (I got a 3 but to be honest I didn’t study cuz like that class was so boring and I got confused so I would definitely recommend studying for it at least a little) 3. Ap Econ (I also got a 3, and it was kind of confusing i wasn’t really interested but units 4-6 are probably the most confusing, it was an okay class). 4. Ap euro, just took the test and it was kind of easy cuz I got some topics I knew (the class itself was boring, I don’t like history so but if you study i’m sure you’ll do great on the test. It was mostly the readings that really killed the class for me cuz I took forever to read from that dumb book but if you like history u should take it just know u read and write lots of dbq’s and saq’s).
@@gabeojemann5626 I would definitely encourage you to speak spanish if you have any spanish speaking friends because you get several audios during the test and they go by quickly so if you start talking to people in spanish it’ll be easier for u to comprehend when taking the test. (also they tend to use audios in which the people are from spain so the accent is kind of difficult to understand sometimes so that’s something to keep in mind). I would also recommend before taking the exam u practice managing ur time because for the comprehension portion we only get a certain amount of time to answer the questions and if u tend to read slowly then that will affect the time u have. There’s also a portion in which you have to compare an issue that they provide in the prompt and have to use examples from the US and a hispanic country so make sure you read some articles from the book so you have some knowledge about the other places so you can make the comparison (btw in this part they give you a total of 4 minutes to prepare the presentation and then you also speak about the comparison!
When I saw Chem where it was, I was genuinely in shock that there could be worse things, but then he said "Should be easy enough as long as you have a good teacher", and I was like "yup, a garbage teacher could definitely have been my problem" (because it was definitely the problem)
AP SPANISH LANG!!!! Yes no one ever takes it, but yeah I tried my hardest and it just no way to get all of the info for the tests, and the test was SOOOOO long. There were so many 6 HUGE concepts, but so many subcategories within the concepts.
Most language tests i feel would have a mix of difficulty depending on the test taker. Almost any native speaker of a language test would have the unfair advantage of knowing the language since early childhood compared to other test takers. Then again most people that know a foreign language will just take the test of the language they know.
@@gabeojemann5626 yeah, basically look at the exam format and just practice as much Spanish as you can. Writing (finding articles and writing them out really helped me), speaking, listening, etc. And find practice online too
It does go pretty in depth into object-oriented programming and Java syntax in general, but I'm not sure I would qualify that as "actual coding." Still, it's a pretty good introduction to understanding how code works.
I think you should be fine as long as you're pretty fluent, you honestly don't learn much in Spanish 3, 4, or 5 (they just let you practice skills more, so I would just practice on your own).
