Great match. Thanks for the coverage. How's that! An Aussie winning FTR.. Good on ya Shane. Only one problem we can't view the full results without being a member.. Dave from Oz.
Erik, as you face the targets to your left just over the hill is the schutzen range stop in and shoot a Garand match with us. Thank You for all of the great info over the years on RUclips.
@ the 1:33 mark he called Erik Barry, lol Thank you for sharing love it, its a shame i missed out last weekend to shoot with the f class boys, but still will ask again when they have practice again. 👌👌✌✌🦘🦘 Also i have shot shane's weapon system, which was a F class 308 the last time i was at the range in regional Victoria and also when he practiced that day he got a perfect scope every single projectile hit the V mark all 10 rounds, i was totally blown away and thats at 1,200 yards as well. Well done to Shane, Aussie aussie aussie. oi oi oi. 👍👌✌🦘
Erik, As a CRC member helping with scoring and other computer stuff, thank you for shooting this match and thank you for posting this video. Very much appreciated. I hope you come back and I have the opportunity to shoot with you.
Welcome to Colorado Erik. Any special reason why you did not shared anyone shooting? I was hoping to see them shooting, adjusting, see calibers, rifles, scopes, the whole thing. I will look to see if someone else has that video. Thanks Erik for sharing. Have a great day. Mas bien, Buenas Noches 🤠✌
Novice question? When mirage is that bad would it be better if you dialed half your wind call to limit the maximum hold and try to keep your hold within a much smaller diameter. You have 45 sec so I would thank if your moving back a forth a few moa on the dial it shouldn't be to bad on your time.
Hay Eric did you notice the payout for rmack(Rocky mountain air gun challenge)airgun challenge ? First place was $20,000 , second place $10,000. , third place $5,000 in five areas . When will be see you there even as a visitor ? Another great video my friend .
@@Whocaresnoone69 not bb guns , pellet air rifles that shoot better than most powder burners . Have a better standard deviation . You know the type of rifle that has been around longer than powder burners . And yes they can shoot over 1000 yrds . Ton jones made a shot at 1700 yrds 1.3miles with his .308 texan . The kind that has upset the .22 bench rest community . It's not the bb gun of your childhood . It's the rifle you always wanted but never thought it existed . It has come a long way in 4000 yrs . Check them out there is a lot of shooting matches across this country and many others . Utah air (rocky mountain air gun challenge) is probably the highest paying but most pay well . This has been a good addition since back before 1997 but fx has been around since then and has won most if not all since . If you like full auto fire hatsan has the blitz in thirty caliber that is cool as a 55 Chevy and is legally ownable by adults without the ATF interference and no unconditional taxation on the moderator or registration . No FFL dealer needed , order one up and it gets mailed to your door . They do require a special air compressor that can fill the air tank to 4000 PSI . Check them out at utah air , pyramid air , SPAW(southern precision air weapons , or Arizona air rifles to name a couple . A very specified dealership only because the powder burners are worried of a take over . It will never happen but they are getting more and more popular and useful . Most states allow hunting . Pyramid air has a map and chart showing game and seasons . My fx dream tech compact has changeable barrel that go from .177 up to .30 cal and a arrow barrel .
@georgedeedsnotwords2162 How do they have the money to pay out to the shooter what they do? I will look into it. For that kind of money I will buy an air gun just for matches. But air guns have a long way to go before replacing a 556,to 300norma center fire.
I have a question about load development with your Gen 2 brake. Should I try to find the best load without the brake on the barrel. Or just screw the tuner off the end of the break. Or find the best load with it on setting 0 and then try to fine tune from there. Trying to figure out the best way thanks.
Hesitant to ask this, but, I'm 53, and I'm wondering if it's to late for me to get into this sport? I would have to start bare bones. Pretty sure i have the least amount of money that anyone has ever had to start with. Is it possible, in some way, to get into this type of shooting? If not, that's fine, I just want to know.
@@ErikCortina Thank you for replying. I would appreciate it if you could answer a few more questions when you have time. What is the minimum equipment I need to get into this. I know a rifle of course, but do I need a custom rifle or can I get away with a current production rifle and if the latter, could you recommend a brand or model of rifle? Also, I have no competition experience. Are there amateur competitions that I should start with? Or do the regular competition have different experience levels for novice shooters? Any info and help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
Missed that match. First year shooting, and it's comforting to hear that place is good place to learn.

You’re welcome.
Awesome match! Can’t wait until next year
Same here!
You are really getting me interested in F-class with these and the V2 videos, Erik.
Common!
The greatest sport in the USA not one person kneeling during the national anthem.
If they did, I wouldn't advise them to go down range.
Why would anyone do that?
Thanks Eric! Great interviews...appreciate it!

Very impressive skill set displayed by all these shooters thanks for sharing
Shane's wife Vicki took high women's honors in Ftr as well.
"I'm gonna need those dies back guys" LMAO
Matt always put on great matches, Colorado rifle club is a great place to be tested
Great content from the match sir!
Glad you enjoyed!

Seems like a match for heavy magnums. Thanks for the video Erik.
Thanks for watching!
Another great vid, Thanks Erik!
My pleasure!
😅 awesome! Good to see that the Coalinga range is up to specs...
Right on
Welcome to Colorado! Byers is my home range, conditions can be pretty spicy 😂
Just curious. I hear baseball and football players complain about the Co altitude. Is it the same at this range?
@@courtneesdadnah, just drink plenty of water. You may be a bit more winded than normal but just drink and you will be fine
My home range as well , the mirage is always brutal. Never takes a day off lol
It got a bit windy. It was fun.
@@ErikCortina be warned, it gets worse!!!!!
Hey at least the breeze keeps them bugs away lol definitely looked pretty challenging
You got that right!

BB guns? Why? How do they pay the shooter more than any other shooting sport?

Find the best load with tuner at 0, then tune with tuner.
Thanks ill try that this weekend @ErikCortina
Splendid

Not too old at all. There are many in their 70’s still shooting F-Class. Most are late 50’s to early 60’s
