The furnishings, wallpaper’s, lights etc., of today do not compare to the gorgeous artistry from the past. Absolute “one of a kind” home. Thank you for including us on this sale.
I kept trying to peer around the camera view to see what else was there. I was so absorbed by it all. Hahaha
I used to live in New Westminster which was the original capital of British Columbia in Canada. There's an area there called Queen's Park which is the original site where homes were built for the dignitaries that Queen Victoria sent to establish the government. Most of the homes are fabulous mansions. Every year, during Hyack Festival, there is a walking tour of homes that you can tour through. In one home, the owners actually dress up in the outfits of the times. If you love beautiful old restored mansions, I highly recommend anyone coming to visit BC to look into it.

So many wallpapers, fabrics and rugs are still made by/for Morris & Co.. William Morris is a little slice of perfection for me.😊 The windows above the doors are called "Transom Windows" or "Transom Lights" for temperature, as you said, but also for light. I like them in both modern and Victorian styled homes.
I thought that it was William Morris wallpaper right away because it is my favourite wallpaper

Selena - I string old chandelier crystals and use them as Christmas ornaments. I’d have wanted every one of those crystal flowers. 🥰😍
How do you string them my dear?
@@julieevanger9181 there is usually a small wire loop that attaches them to the chandelier - you can add a hanger, string or thin ribbon through there. If it is part of a string of crystals (like the pieces with flowers on them that Selena showed us) you can work fine thread or wire through one of the crystals themselves. I found that there is always somewhere on them you can add a hanger of some sort. They really twinkle in the Christmas tree lights.
Those windows above the doors are called ' transoms' we have them in old homes in the South.
My home was built in 1890
And is a Bluegrass Trust Historic house in Lexington ky.

I’ve never seen so many beautiful and just gorgeous lighting and lighting fixtures. The wallpapers are amazing!! The print of the dancing ladies is The Primavera by Sandro Botticelli. He's the same artist who painted The Birth of Venus (where she is in the shell). You can find some nice prints of it online.

I absolutely loved the glass shades with the roses.
The "pass through" windows above the doors are called transom windows. The large figural light of a woman looks like she would have graced the newel post at the bottom of a grand staircase. I wouldn't have been able to contain myself in that home. So many beautiful things to see! With the amount of lighting for sale, and all the extra bits and bobs, I wonder if the owner of the home was an electrician and installed all of the lighting himself?

Loved that $1200 lady light and the hanging & wall lights in the downstairs bath with the green globes were awesome. And upstairs, that large white globe with the flowers I just love; so beautiful. Wow, those 2 white globes your Mom you helped your Mom pick were so unique & beautiful.
