I just got my best silk press yet, this is what i did,
1.shampooed 3 times(with a more clarifying shampoo), taking my time in sections.
    2.Deep conditioned
    3.shampoo (moisturizing shampoo) AGAIN,
    4.condition,
    5. heat protectant spray,
    6. in sections, blow dried my hair with a round brush (had the rest of my hair in plastic caps so it doesnt dry out, if it dries before you get to blow dry it- add water.
get it as straight as possible and then flat iron in tiny sections with around 400 degrees. i added a bit of serum after :)

Thank you for the tips! They are always appreciated. I'm still trying to learn the process. But I did shampoo with a clarifying shampoo, maybe next time I'll do it twice instead of once. And I could never figure out if my hair should stay more wet before I blow dry. So I'll try that next time. And I'm going to have to get a new flat iron because mine doesn't even go to 400, it's either 380 or 430 but I think that would have made a difference too. Thank you again for the tips! I'll keep them in mind next time

yeah i know what you mean! its not easy and for me i always feel like i need a lot of product in my hair but its not good for a silk press! but for real, shampooing many times and getting your hair as squeaky clean as possible is the key. and not putting too much product in afterwards. & good idea, im scared to use heat that high and too low just doesnt do it lol!
