Good list. I like to keep up on all the new releases and old oscar and critically acclaimed films and I have only seen one of these. I missed on Manchester by the sea and have had Crimson Tide on my list for a long time so this reinforced my need to circle back and watch these movies. 12 Angry Men is now on my list as well. The algorithm worked!

Glad it found you well! Always adding to my own list if you have anything you’d like to see in a future video

Start Rant! There is nothing good about Die Hard. I’ll die on that hill. Jean Claude Van Dam (sure the spelling is crap as his acting is) is better at action films.
Crimson Tide was only ok. It was better due to better acting, but a horrible everything else. Also, Kirby’s Silver Surfer is the only one. 😂
The other three I have seen, but we’re completely forgettable. I remember seeing all of them, but it was all eh. I can see Punch Drunk love or Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless mind being on a top 5 or Moulin Rouge!
You said at the start of the video something about films that were out of the mainstream of diverged from the status quo or something like that. All of these films were very status quo for their times. Maybe action movies are directed like Die Hard anymore, but that’s because CGI and better stunts/ better actors have emerged. You can see the difference even in Bruce Willis. Between Die Hard and Pulp Fiction he grew as an actor. End Rant.
