I'll never forget that home run off Brad Lidge. The man single handedly took the entire city's soul.

3 homer world series game against Texas is my favorite Pujols moment but yea that Ledge game 5 home run is legendary.

Sometimes if you look up in the Houston sky, you can see that ball still flying to this day

When I saw Pujols homer vs the Cubs, I was immediately reminded of Robert Redford in The Natural...life imitates art.

What I missed about Albert is the batting average the RBIs to run scored always over 100 runs scored in the home runs he's really dropped way down in his career

Well there’s no one better at reading stats and Bob Costas that’s for sure… Never knew what he was talking about while he was doing commentary in games so he just read statistics while things were happening in the field. Horrible horrible commentator

Costas hated St. Louis and is reviled by many locals. He has no right to talk about Pujols or the Cardinals.

Keep playing as long as they are will to PAY an average player.....which is what Pujols has been for the last 10 years. He is a STAT padder. Thank goodness the NL went with the DH for his sake.

His legend would be greater had he retired around 2012.

Why would he retire then?? That makes no sense

It just goes to show how dominate those first 10 years of his career were. 2012-present average to below average player but overall career, considered one of the best to ever do it.

@@Notmeiminmyprime A decade of total dominance undermined by a decade of mediocrity. Dude managed to drag his career BA under .300 - at one time that seemed impossible.
