Just bought one of these and I love it so much. I test drove the N and the n-line and the n-line just felt so much better for me. No regrets trading in my Veloster🥳
@@dnegel9546 i love my mpg like for example i live in Georgia and drove to Orlando 4 hour drive full tank didnt have to refill anytime during drive. I love also love its size. As I'm a big Hyundai fan really like this mid-cycle refresh of the 2022 Kona N-line a lot. Front end looks better, but no fog lights. Always liked the side profile of the previous Kona, even more now, & those wheels look fantastic guys. Hyundai has some of the BEST wheel designs of any brand IMO! Like the rear end a lot, except I'm still not a fan of the combination turn signal/back-up lights mounted low on the bumper. New Tucson has this same design though. Good seats, 12.25 inch digital gage cluster all look really nice. But NO paddle shifters behind the steering wheel, probably to differentiate from the Up-Coming Kona-N which will have all the bells n whistles, plus 275hp engine!...Looking forward to that review guys!
I have nearly 3,000 miles on my 2022 N-line Ultimate (Canada) (premium or tech in US?) Love the car. LED's really light up the road on low beam, leather seats are getting more comfortable with break-in, like the larger screen infotainment screen and 8 speaker stereo, Blueline and the list is extensive. Well worth the $40,000 CAD. Drives effortlessly, and fun to relax with lane follow, auto wipers, auto high-beam, and adaptive cruise control, etc.. Got it in Black and with the AWD, it corners beautifully on wet roads and no hesitation in the snow today(without the lock). :-) Unfortunately(in town), it takes no time to hit 50mph, and quite exciting on the corners. People can have the Kona N, because you can't use the extra power, and 31-35 mpg(Canada) is easy on the pocketbook. Too many times it silently sprints over the speed limit. One annoyance, noisy water splash on the undercarriage through highway puddles. Oh yeah, then there is Sport Mode. (I have had 200 vehicles including Firebirds, Camaro, Chevelle SS, V8 Datsun pickup.)
I like this Hyundai Kona N-Line, but I would wait for the N version because it has a much nicer cabin, and it is overall more sporty. Feel better Mason!
Cabin isn't much better. Only the CX-30 has an impressive cabin in this class. Unfortunately the cx-30 isn't overly sporty or fun to drive which makes it hard to spend 35K on a subcompact vehicle.
@@jackveech4941 Not in America. Compact cars are the Mazda CX-5 and Hyundai Tucson here. In America the Mazda cx-30 and Hyundai Kona are only sub compact cars.
Actually the n-line has a nicer interior and also nicer wheels..even the dealership agreed.i have driven both ..but if you use it daily and drive alot the n-line is a Much better choice
@@dnegel9546 Just vastly inferior light output compared to LED, which I can only imagine isn't standard because manufacturers want a reason for you to move up a few trims to get the 'luxury' of a usable amount of light at night.
Hi Car Confections! Thanks for another great review. Question--- which is the better choice of CUV: 2022 seltos sx turbo? Or kona N-line with tech package? Thanks!
@@CarConfections thanks! Yes I was thinking the same thing. I test drove both-- and while I love the design of the kona N-line, I felt that the 2022 Seltos SX was much more upmarket in feeling!
@@zach-fl6qp thanks zachary! Yes absolutely. After doing back to back test drives of the kona n line vs 2022 seltos sx, it was no contest. The Seltos is a great cuv and high quality. I think the only way I would consider the Kona's older/lower quality interior is if I wait and purchase full-blown Kona N--! Exciting times for Hyundai/Kia!
@@R56Cooper what did you think was so dated on the Kona? I can’t tell much difference from vids & pics. I like the hatch look of the Kona better, but please let me know where it lacked.
The Kona N-Line (or perhaps the full N trim) is on my short-list for a new 2022 vehicle, though I am still a bit hesitant to trust Hyundai/KIA as a brand. I am not a fan though of no standard LED headlights on it, however, & only available as part of a bloated "premium tech package" that I don't want (including a crappy power sunroof that I don't want, since they end up being nothing but trouble usually). That might be the deal-breaker for me on the N-Line or N, or perhaps just encourage me to just buy the full N trim instead if I am forced to have all the added tech garbage. I would definitely have to black out that tacky front, side & back red-orange trim though on the full N trim.
Al that crap includes the LED headlights auto wipers and tons of safety features it completely changes the car. The drive is like driving an Audi. Incredible value for the money. Go drive one !
