I remember the big red machine, my father was a big time Reds fan. I personally like Cleveland Indians. The older guys I worked with back in the seventies were die hard fans. Old memories never die.
There'll be very few ball teams that rival the "Big Red Machine" that's for sure. I got to see them before 75 and 76. But never in those two years. My sisters always got straight A tickets in school back then. Of course I wasn't as sharp as they were. Dad used to take us to Riverfront Stadium. We always got the upper red seats so we always took a pair of binoculars. Oh, the memories. Dad died in 75 in a workplace accident so I never went again until about 1982. We did watch them on TV during those many years though. Btw I'm on that same Trump 🚂 🚆 as you are to. Whoo-a-whoo! 😊
Hey Steve, great memories as a kid and amazing how we remember them all these years later. I was and still am a big sports fan, so I remember those great Cincinatti teams winning the world series in 1975 and 1976. I'm a big Detroit sports fan but you can't forget the great teams, no matter which city. Thanks for going back in time.
Hey Steve, That’s crazy about Bill Bowman! Here in Indiana, we had very popular ghoul named Sammy Terry. He had a spider sidekick named George and others I believe. Bob Carter was his actual name and he owned a music instrument business in Indianapolis. I watched on Friday nights and he use to scare the heck out of me as a young boy! 😂 You’ll have to check him out! He had a laugh that can’t be forgotten!
Kris Kristofferson was a Captain in the US Army and was supposed to teach English at Westpoint, but decided to go to Nashville instead. He was a Rhodes scholar. He did it all, and apparently he did everything very well
