Case seems to be in decent shape. Maybe run a thin sump on the bottom? Then you could use sealant between the case and the sump and not worry about the corrosion. Just a thought.
to JB weld or not to JB weld looks to be the question..... the sump idea doesn't seem too bad either depending on how badly you want to save this motor. 👍
People shouldn’t use flat blade screwdrivers to split case halves. Re the corrosion at the bottom you’d be surprised at what JB Weld can do for you. Or, alternatively install an oil sump.

I had a welder add some magnesium to those areas .It worked out fine.

You are right. JB weld may dislodge but, a sump may do the trick.
