Hi, so if I joined the pass and bought some in app purchases using the £5 off discount, would they remain after the subscription ends? I already have the premium app bought, so just the IAP.
I got one doubt, if I buy a family pass can all 5 of my linked accounts can get free in app purchases or just 1 account gets the in app purchases? Like if I bought the pass for 30$ and say I have 2 accounts in same game, will I be able to get the in app purchases for free in both accounts or just one (assuming both are connected via family pass)
Can i ask about the play pass? What if you have saved your progress from games like kingdom rush vengeance. Once the subscription ends, will it save still or will it reset my progress? Will google force me to pay for those in app purchases like the DLC's of kingdom rush vengeance?
Depends on how the game has done progression i guess, but the save should remain locally or synced to Google play games or similar and thus be saved. The only thing play pass gives you would be the license to use the app
Some do. Grand mountain adventure, for example comes to mind. Stardew valley, Terraria and others who originated on pc/consoles should support it too. Don't kno if the filter is available if you don't have play pass, but after searching in play store, you should find Play Pass as a filter on top to only show results that are on it. Search for controller support and enable the filter :)
Does this mean i can buy all in game items for free during the subscription but what happens when your subscription is over do i still get to keep them for free or do i have to pay for all of them?
You can keep them! Keep in mind, it's only for participating games/apps though, so not everything on the play store. But yes, everything on play pass with IAP
There are hundreds of them! Some of my favourites include Grand Mountain Adventure, Human Fall Flat, Mini Metro and Game Dev Tycoon. And yes, Terraria is included!
No, once redeemed the stuff is yours. But keep in mind it's not for all games. I've even found one play pass game where the segments of the store where you could spend real cash was hidden for play pass users, which I think isn't allowed actually 😅
You pay for them by paying for play pass. Games like final fantasy and Stardew Valley and some 800+ other apps and games are included. Pretty sweet deal imho, especially if you have a family group as the subscription is shared within the Google family group
Only for the participating apps. But yes, if an app is included in Play Pass, all IAPs in that app is free if you have a subscription. Developers get paid by Google. If it's a monthly sum, the money they would have gotten if the user had bought it or a lump sum when signing on, I don't know. But from a conversation with a Dev about Xbox Game Pass, getting on a subscription service like that, or this, can often pay for the cost of making the game in the first place, plus the next project. Sometimes, financial security for a project is preferred for a studio after all.
Good info. So I don't get it. I got google play pass free for a month. But trying stuff on there & still get ads constantly & upsells for upgrades. Thought those were going away in this
Not true all my in app purchases for class of clans still cost money, and I already had the gold pass. So basically just threw away a fiver because I was led to believe I'd actually get something for it. Bs
It has to be an app/game that'd part of Play Pass though. Won't be for all apps, just participating apps. Clash of Clans is not part of Play pass and thus the IAP is paid still
@@DadPlaysGames well how does that work then? The reason I even knew about the play pass is it was advertised to me while on clash of clans paying for a purchase?! I've requested a refund for what I paid for as I thought it would be free an I needed that money, seems very easy to misunderstand what your actually getting so they should give me a refund but it's going to take 1-4 days, so annoying.
Plus you get a free clash of clans gold pass each month so you can see why I thought it would include the game especially as it was advertised to me whilst playing it!
Never install apps or games from outside Google play, never allow permissions from apps that doesn't seem reasonable. If it's too late, wipe your phone, then, using ADB, flash stock images for all parts of the phone
Free in app purchase? Sounds to be too good to be true especially that participants dev already losing money by free downloading. And who gonna compensation them
It's paid for by Google. Not sure if it's a lump sum or a per download sort of thing. Probably a mix. You pay Google a certain amount per month or year, they pay the devs, everyone is happy, seemingly cause it's quite rare for games to be removed (but it happens)
@@DadPlaysGames the only way to maximize the benefit is by downloading free games with in app purchase. If only i have unlimited data then we can to totally abuse those corporations
@fakhrianuar I suppose you could abuse it to try to make Google pay more than they had planned to the Devs or for the Devs to lose out on money... But you'd be working VERY hard to remove a single drop of water from the oceans. If you'd spend 35-40 bucks on buying games or IAPs that's included in the service, you're better off signing up. Or if, like me, you want to be able to pick from a smorgasbord of good games whenever you feel like it. Would I have saved money by not being subscribed and just bought what I wanted, when I wanted? Possibly. But there is value in convenience and for many Devs a service like this puts their games in the hands of thousands who'd never have looked twice otherwise. It's a bag of money for an advertisement spot, in a sense
@@DadPlaysGames if i saved up money to buy game without pass, i hope "global war simulation" didn't happening again. Years ago, i bought the premium version when it's still cheap, and few months ago i bought another game from same developer. But i think it's too expensive so i delete it immediately. After few months later since that, i want to download "global war simulation" but it is no longer available and so did all the games from that dev. Lucky me since those games are very expensive and did you know that the dev literally make a calculator app but cost $25 which all phones have Pre-installed 💀
Just searched this and you was the first video that popped up. Great vid Bjorn
One of my longest running big ones 😅 got barely any views it's first 2 months then 50 a day almost for MONTHS. Still going strong 🥰
So in- game pourchases will be free any amount of money?
Hi, so if I joined the pass and bought some in app purchases using the £5 off discount, would they remain after the subscription ends? I already have the premium app bought, so just the IAP.
Yeah, in my experience at least
Good work! Keep up!!

Yeah, the whole family enjoys the same subscription! A big part of why I love it
Good video 🤝

@@DadPlaysGames Nice, I appreciate the fast response.
Do any of the games support gamepads?

@@DadPlaysGamesmay I know what are some of the participants games?
When the subscription expires and i have a premium game installed do i need to pay again to play it?
Yes
what are participating games and can u tell me some names of these games and is terraria included?
There are hundreds of them! Some of my favourites include Grand Mountain Adventure, Human Fall Flat, Mini Metro and Game Dev Tycoon. And yes, Terraria is included!
So am I able to keep all the games I downloaded even my play pass ended?
No, but in app purchases in participating apps should remain.
what ahppenes if you get play pass download a game from it and cancel the playpass is the game then gone?
You get a popup that you can't open the app unless you buy it or subscribe if I recall correctly
@@DadPlaysGamesCan disable wifi to unlock the game without re-pay?
I just got a 3 month free coupon from google and it wants me to add my card details can i cancel the membership immediately so i dont get charged
Yes you can
@@DadPlaysGames cool thanks
Is in app purchases all free like can i have unlimited robux and undo the purchased item
Yes for any game that's part of play pass (it'll say on the play store page). No for anything not part of it. Don't think Roblox is part of it .
Thank you for the video
Thank you for watching it! Hope it was informative! 😊
Do you get to play the games after your subscription has ended tho?
No, once your sub is lapsed you need to pay for the game or sign back up. But in game items made free for play pass subscribers remain on your account
If i made a hundred dollar purchase in a play pass game do I have to pay for it if my membership expires?
No, once redeemed the stuff is yours. But keep in mind it's not for all games. I've even found one play pass game where the segments of the store where you could spend real cash was hidden for play pass users, which I think isn't allowed actually 😅
KK thanks for the help
And when you say that's not the case for all games does that mean the content just get removed?
Really?
Premium apps in play store is also free to download?
You pay for them by paying for play pass. Games like final fantasy and Stardew Valley and some 800+ other apps and games are included. Pretty sweet deal imho, especially if you have a family group as the subscription is shared within the Google family group
any good shit in this game pass 2023? I buy 1 year ones
Currently playing Legend of Keepers from Play Pass and it's awesome!
Hey i have a question. Will my apps that cost money dissapear after a month if i dont pay playpass?
They will be disabled, if they were part of play pass, yes. Resubbing or buying the app will enable it without needing to be downloaded again
Strange, i read that they will save
Yeah, the data remains but you can't open the app
Free in app purchases? So you can get anything for free? Sounds like huge money loss for the apps creators
Only for the participating apps. But yes, if an app is included in Play Pass, all IAPs in that app is free if you have a subscription.

@xmaker9065 no, but in app purchases made using play pass can in some cases remain (like buying 99999 powerups in Cut The Rope)
@@DadPlaysGames what about dead cells?
You do not get to keep it after the subscription runs out, no. But that and hundreds of more games for~30$/yr bit is a good deal
It's crazy how it won't cost me when I make in app purchases
Yeah, and while not for all apps, for the ones included, you keep your stuff even if you cancel! ☺️
@@DadPlaysGames awesome thanks
Do make sure to check it's included first though :)
@@levihallockHello, do u get to keep the in app purchases or did they just disappear after the pass ends?
All IAP is free too?
For most of the participating apps, yes. It says on the play store page when you have play pass if it does :)

If the app or game you play is a part of Play Pass, any IAP is free. But most still pester you with them, but you can just buy them for 0 lol

Will these work on dating apps also just game
What is the name of game on 2:49 min
The game before 2:49 is Assassin's Creed Black Flag running on Google Stadia, on my phone, with touch controls. After that is This War Of Mine :)

How do I get hackers off my phone

I feel like this would be a good deal for cod mobile if they did discounts but if everything was free everyone would buy this pass immediately
Yeah, unfortunately Activision are too greedy for that to ever happen 😓
