  • IT'S FIGHT DAY! Today I have my first Pro Muay Thai fight here in Thailand.
    It was only after the fight I realized just how much pressure was on me. Front of the fight poster, last to fight, finding out on the day I would be fighting a Thai and also finding out his fight record. Lets just say I was a little hesitant to throw my kicks.
    I hope you enjoy!

      No I was good, no pain or bruises. All the years of taking hits to the body has helped the conditioning!

      If only I didn't find out his experience, I would have be able to be a lot calmer. I worried myself when I didn't need to be worried at all. Could have done a lot better

      @@ForTheLoveOfFitness You did really good, I would say you did as good as or better than him if we were to remove style and Muay Thai scoring from the equation. It did definitely have a resemblance though to other westerners fighting in Thailand I've seen before. Where your MMA or boxing type striking seemed to shine through as you were doing a lot more punching than everything else. While I would say you land the more significant blows and stayed busier than he did, punches just don't score the same. I also agree that you looked a bit nervous so you were a bit hesitant to let your hands go at it made it look less fluid than you're clearly capable of at some moments. Awesome fight dude, I really didn't know who the decision was going to. I think you would have had a decision though up until the last round, gave him just enough to take it I think.

    • @ForTheLoveOfFitness
      @ForTheLoveOfFitness  3 года назад +1

      I first started at 20, now I'm 38, 39 in August. But I was only consistent for 1 year, then did BJJ for 1 year, then MMA 1 year and then weight training FOR about 10 years. Started doing Muay Thai and Kickboxing but was never consistent until about the last 4 years where I started fighting
