    I'm building a fence in my yard, and do other repairs. I told my lady, I feel bad for gen z because they'll be paying for everything because they don't have skills like this.

      I have a daughter that's 29 and married. You just described her husband. He haunts and fishes. But he dont mess with engines at all.
      Now my son who's 8 is starting to get into that already. Also welding and electric. He may never be a pro at any of them but he will be able to do enough to save him some money and help out friends

    I used this video to fix a Stihl FS 56rc as well. I even replaced the fuel lines. Now my Stihl runs brand new I have no experience in working on small engines but it was really fun working on my own stuff and it only cost me 30 dollars

      I am so glad that it was able to help you do it on your own. It's amazing how simple things can be and save us a couple hundred dollars in the process of fixing it.
      I have one I need to replace on a harborfreight auger. Cost me 11 dollars for the carb! Can't beat that at all!

      Also most of them take a special tool to adjust them. It's not just a small screw driver any more

      I am a believer in their stuff now. I have an old craftsman weedwacker that o want to get running again. It's a 4 stroke. Been hanging for awhile. It's always night to have a back up!
      We have a plan for water storage but it's down the road because of the cost. We will eventually put in a small slab under the house and should be able to put in 14 to 16 330 gallon totes.
      We have to put the slab so that the tanks don't sink all the way into the ground. But the space is pretty much usless for much else.

    Ya got rain? Surprise! Getting the right carb can be a real hassle. It a part in a carb on out rototiller that I can’t find. So, got to replace the whole carb! Nice job Danny. Rain you say? Eh. Just keep your boat handy …

    • @CajunHydroponics
      @CajunHydroponics  3 года назад

      Lol yes it's that time of year we will get alot of rain! Weather we want it or not. I will take the rain with out the high winds though! We got lucky it skirted us and we only got 3 to 4 inches.
      It's funny when carbs seemed more expensive, they also seemed to last so much longer. But its mostly an easy and pretty inexpensive part now to replace.
      Because I have the time off that I do. I try an figure things out at 15 dollars an hour. If I have to work on it. And in my mind it was much easier to replace the carb than to try and keep spending time trying to get it to work than to try and repair and it only work for a couple uses. Then working on it again.
      The boat is always read, it's hurricane season! Lol

    Carb you linked on Amazon based on the reviews it is not the correct part. It something to do with the throttle connection. What is the factory Zama part number?

    • @CajunHydroponics
      @CajunHydroponics  2 года назад +1

      There are 2 carbs for that same weedeater motor. You need to see witch one you have on your weedeater. One has a plastic connection where the throttle connects. The other has a metal connection. They cannot be interchanged.
      But if you look on amazon for the carburetor for that weedeater it will pull both of them up. Just have to look at the pictures to see the carburetor.
      I dont remember the one I have. Bit besides having to adjust the carburetor idle jet it has worked perfectly

      That's a big problem. None of the are. I hang mine with the engine at the ground and it helps it was my fault that this happened. It was much cheaper to replace the carb than to try and fix it.
      I also have a craftsman 4 stroke that I will repair. The carb is 17 dollars. Wanna see if that one will run. Always nice to have a back up.
