Love having your kid in the review Casey, and thanks to both of you for your honest opinions. This looks like a cool tent to get if the company ever gets enough to handle the demand (they have been out of stock since June). I know because I have been on the "notify when in stock" list since then.
@@Casey250 yeah it reminds me of mine BUT it’s so cool to have that of your own child. I don’t know about you but I don’t have any videos of me younger and only a handful of pictures from my dad. At least our kids and grandkids will actually get to see and hear when everyone was younger!
Nice review! I am considering this Hub Tent. Great job and your daughter did a fantastic job for a 9 year old! I would love to see the both of you compare this tent to the Overlandish Hub Tent. I am leaning towards that tent but still considering the Shiftpod.
Its a tent, not a house. If its cold out, itll be cold in the tent. Below freezine, a heater of some sort is nice. I use a electric heater in the morning to get up and sleep in a proper down sleep systme.
I just found the shift pod a week ago because I was looking for the absolute BEST Four Season shelter because I want to combine it with my invention, a Rocket Stove (in the-ground) Earthen Thermal Mass Heating System! It will heat a 100 +/- shelter easily, AND It will help keep it cool in summer also because Earth temps are always lower than ambient temperature..
I know the dimensions of the mini 3 are listed as 60" can you tell me how tall the shiftpod actually is when folded up? Trying to decide if it will fit in my Subaru. It would seem based on videos and it can't be 60" tall. Thanks. Really enjoyed the video especially your assistant.
Dude, I've enjoyed you and Saun's channels for some time now and have always appreciated your personality. I absolutely admire the dad side of you as well. Makes me miss my kids being that age, but humbled and blessed to have two college kids who still enjoy hanging with my wife and I regularly especially on jeep or beach trips. Great job, Great dad, and great content. You are truly blessed brother. On a related note, like you I have a goal of hitting 100k subscribers on my channel and I'm really close with only 99,975 left to go. :) Lol, hope to be there in the next 30 days with my new video coming out by Monday. (kidding, I do this for fun, but if one day...maybe one day I can do this for a living, well.... you know how that goes.) Can't wait to meet you guys on a trip or event some time, my Son and I watch you're content regularly. You and Saun are so lucky to live so close to those incredible places.
Appreciate you watching the videos! I enjoy making the ones I can with Maddi. Keep making content and you will figure things out and your channel will grow!
Seems to be a similar type design as the Gazelle T4, which I have and absolutely adore. The T4 is far nicer inside with more windows, but not as heavily insulated as the ShiftPod.
@@Casey250 You won't regret it. I've never heard anybody say a bad word about the T4. The cross-ventilation with windows open is just wonderful, and the mesh top lets you see stars on dry nights. I wouldn't be comfortable climbing into and out of a RTT, so I went with the T4 ground tend and would do it again in a heartbeat any day. It's a bit big for a Grand Cherokee, but for a JT it's ideal.
I use the Roofnest Condor Overland. It is very long but it is a flip open tent. Wedges tend to be a little shorter, but the Falcon Pro has a flip out part that makes it more roomy.
I guess if you don't have an RTT it's an option. My tent is lower, and I guess being able to stand up would be helpful. Just seems like a lot of work compared to a RTT.
Why did you say “Don’t believe the hype “ that makes it sound like the tent is no good . I dont think shift pod will like that very much.. probably should have said “Should you believe the hype” .. as a viewer i took it as there are problems with the tent and not worth the hype. Just sayin🤷🏻♂️

Isn't having a daughter the best! 👍🏿 ❤
Your daughter is the personality that makes this a fun video, you are Blessed!
Thanks!

Yes they are hard to find. Thanks for the kind words, we love making videos together.
Had no time to clean it to busy babysitting RUclips influencers 😉
Bahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahaha
Omg that was hilarious. Definitely reminds me of my girls when they were “only 9 years old”
Ill be keeping these videos for when I'm old and want to look back.

Ha! She’s so cute! I love how she’s so helpful and ready to dive into the install. :)
Wow, what an incredibly amazing daughter. So smart and helpful for her age.
Thank you so much!
thank you (both of you) to showing it 👍....like this tent
Nice video Casey, those look like awesome tents. Maddie did a great job helping you show the features of that tent!
I look forward to trying it out on some trips! We had a ton of fun making the video.
8:57 Having a ground tarp really helps a ground tent last much longer, that is probably a good suggestion.
100% and keeps the tent bottom cleaner for storage. Looking forward to using the tent!

If I had one I would compare it 😁
Great video and an amazing cohost. Maddie stole the show. Good job Maddie!!!
Thanks. Its much more fun reviewing things together.
Does this tent stay warm in extreme cold weather? It may need a diesel heater. Temps like 10 Degrees or lower, especially at night time.
Thank you!

Great video. We met you at Moab EGS. You got a selfie with my son. Thanks again.
Is there any storage on the walls for stuff like glasses, phone, etc.?

Do you have any reccomendations on a Diesel heater? Brands, ext...
If you search for diesel heaters on my channel, the one I have is pretty decent.

Roof top shift pod will be a game changer 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣

Kid stole the show, 😂😂😂👍🏻
Thumbs up for Maddie. She is awesome
She’s definitely gonna be a RUclipsr! She fits perfect
She basically is being on the channel haha

Id like to check out a Gazelle too. Maybe ill order one.

Awesome duo!!!!!
What RTT do you have? I’m pushing 6’3” myself and trying to find a wedge that would fit me.
I use the Roofnest Condor Overland. It is very long but it is a flip open tent. Wedges tend to be a little shorter, but the Falcon Pro has a flip out part that makes it more roomy.
Gotta make more room in the Jeep for stuffies, Casey. Geesh.
Lol lol
Your Best Video Ever!
It seems to be a Brad preference on Trail Recon
That was a great review, too much fun!
Thanks

There are trade offs. There are times i don't want a RTT, or need to tents. I really like this a an option for those.
Maddi needs to lead the channel!!
Im retiring haha
@@Casey250 no I think you can co-host along with Maddi’s supervision 🤪
Just traded my trailhawk for my first wrangler. Hands down the wrangler is so much more fun.
It will take you places you never thought you would make it to.
Cool 😎 😊…, a Space age tent !!!
Your daughter is too cute man, great vid as usual!
I like my gazelle. Same setup type, just seems to be better built than this is.
Ill have to check one out.
I'd usually skip the ad-related content, but Casey's daughter was too cute not to watch.
Thx. This is a review. No ads or promotions.

Thanks for the feedback. The title is more catchy the way i wrote it and I have no affiliation with Shift Pod.
Have one...Not worth the money...just get an ice fishing tent for 100 bucks. Same thing...
I hope they fumigated the tent for beard-bugs after the ginger was done with it
Lol beard bugs.
I like to have my hair pulled 😂😉
Rofl! Now i gotta burn the tent down.... 🤣
