The reason the zippers you are talking about at 1:10 go all the way down is to open the bag up like a clamshell to go through TSA airport xray so that you don't have to remove your laptop from the bag. The laptop compartment is not designed to carry anything outside the sleeve. Not saying you cant, that's just the reason for the full zip.
Thanks for the tip! That's a smart feature. I have found that when the bag is fully packed and the items in the middle compartment are protruding it can be awkward to get that zipper back up (stretching the fabric in weird places). But, nice tip!
Bladder wise, the Osprey bladder I have does not need a hook. It is structured to not collapse. www.rei.com/product/846397/osprey-hydraulics-reservoir-3-liter
hey, I am interested in this backpack, but I cannot decide between this and the Dakine Network II. Is the backpack doing a good job vs sweating at warm weather?

Is there a rain cover included?
unfortunately not!
A Pirate's Life and this bag is not water-resistant?
Good video, but it's pronounced "awe-spray", not "oh-spree".
Also, the clip at the bottom is for a bike light.
