What do we do.. and how does it feel.. when life turns sour... difficult.. painful or meaningless? 'You are My Rock' is a song about Jesus - the ultimate Rock being under our feet if we allow Him to be. He can provide a steadiness and fortitude during our circumstances, that is unparalleled. In this episode we talk about how life is seemingly 'unfair' at times... and how we can't answer all the questions we have. Why is someone healed and someone else passes away? How do we deal with loneliness, pain, confusion and doubt?

'The PETRA Preacher' - is Pastor Julian Downward - L.P of an AOG church in the UK. Married for 27 years, 4 children aged 10-20. P.Ju has been a fan of PETRA since 1986 when he heard 'Back to the street' in the car of a friend who was taking him home one night. That changed everything. Along with Amy Grant's 'Unguarded' album and U2's 'Joshua Tree', this sparked a passion for music - CHRISTIAN music, that never died. Over the years his collection exploded with many bands and artists from all genres...Rock always being his favourite and PETRA being his favourite band of all time. The reasons are quite simple; wonderful musicianship, great production, phenomenal concerts, an unmistakable heart, songs that mean something and a 'spirit' in the music that for Him, (no offence), has never been replicated in Christian Music. PETRA preached the Word of God through their music...there's no doubt about it and these songs have become sermons set to music that have been an inspiration and spiritual mentor to him throughout his life. In 2023 Pastor Ju and PETRA, BOTH turned 50! These 'PETRA Preaches' are a tribute to the band's seemingly unlimited influence. They are created with honour. And they honour the spirit of the band by honouring the scriptures and Creator behind them. Hopefully you'll not only enjoy them but will also find comfort, peace, salvation, refuge and God - within these messages.

I was gonna ask. Why would bassist, Mark Kelly, after the This Means War! album? I love Mark Kelly because he's one of my favorite Petra band members.
