You were super influential to me almost 15 years ago and I can’t believe I just came here to share your old videos with a friend who’s just getting started, and found you’re back and as good as ever. Cheers from NYC and thank you for all you give us
What’s up Ellaskins! I’m in upstate NY and it would be mega dope if you could eventually do a mini tutorial series on mixing Breakbeats I feel like it’s such an underrated genre that has come a long way and it’s 🔥 🤞✌️out!
Total legend you are Johnathon , i've followed your videos from the start and it actually feels like im in the same room as you whilst your teaching me how to mix. Good job 👍. *
i wish if you can make a whole tutorial about the whole process of making a dj set from how to get the music that you want to play, how you choose it, how do you order them to the set and how you choose what to mix with what
DJs are so spoiled today! If I missed the que 16 bars after I faded out the last song with the next song, my entire next double drop mix would be buggered back on vinyl lol. 🎉
early 90s i was told JUST LISTEN TO IT AND YOULL HEAR IT, very very frustrating when you don't know how, but YES they were right, screw all this watching waveforms on screens etc, pay attention to the beat in your headphones, its like singing your favourite song ontop of any music genre at any speed, you just have to adapt the beats simple in your head as both songs play out, why the world over complicates djing is far and beyond, why DJs get famous on tiktok but cant even beat match is also far and beyond, yet they get paid silly money to throw their hands in the air, (talentless) id say with early 90s hardore is easily one of the best genres to mix, the beats can be very random on certain tracks, some tracks are even on a off beat, so makes it interesting with bpms being all over the place, buttom line, just use your ears and you will hear it .
Over 10 years ago you got me into DJ'ing and I'm so grateful for your years of content.
Same here, thanks so much for your videos
Silence everyone! The master has uploaded another tutorial. ✌️🔥
I love you man. Your the pillar of the Drum and Bass DJ community. Keeping rocking after so many years!

It's easy to mix Drum & Bass, it is all about picking out the correct choice of tracks and mix on the off beat (the snare).
