  • I make a HiFi cabinet for my amp and subwoofer. The style is modern industrial, with a touch of steampunk. MIG welded heavy-duty steel for the frame and Blakley's Red Gum hardwood for the benchtop. The record player sits in a cradle so the deck is level with the top of the cabinet.
Cracks in the hardwood are filled with resin and black powder pigment. The door is made from 20mm square hollow section with a glass window and perforated steel mesh. LED lights under the timber help highlight the copper pipe feature, which provides a unique interface to the powerboard and USB charging outlet.
Original music by Elfshot Design, "Crafter".

So many questions! Why the hell have I not seen you around the Aussie RUclips Maker circuit before?! This is a phenomenally well produced and edited piece of functional art Rowan, bloody outstanding. The edit, the music, the skills and final product are all top notch. Your shop looks awesome, where abouts are you? I can't wait to go back through your previous uploads - James
