@@andrijastojcic5695 I don’t think any other Balkan player had that level of impact and consistency. We’ve always had class talent whether it’s Bosnian, Croatian, or Serbian. With that said Modric has been a player who at 35+ yo still came on for Madrid and made things happen. Croatia’s run from 2018 onward is something we will likely not see again for decades. We’re talking a WC final, WC semi final, and Nations League final. While other major national teams added more talent Croatia lost their top striker and countless others like Rakitici, Rebic, Subasic and so on. Croatia on paper were never beating Brazil in Qatar but it happened. I can’t think of another Balkan player who’s had that impact in the later stage of their career. Nations League really hurt for me because they deserved some silverware in an era where Belgium and France were so stacked with talent.
