One of the greatest days of my life and they later estimated there was easily 60k Bluenoses there that day.
Johnny Gayle with that overhead kick 😮 I can still see it in my head from my viewpoint behind that goal ✊ KRO 🥳
RIP Peter Brackley prince of football commentators.
John Gayle is a Legend!! Not many other strikers have played 249 league games and managed 38 goals!! That's some numbers for you, Messi and Ronaldo don't even come close!
What a day and big John Gayle, best ever goal at Wembley
I was there. 9 years old. Still remember it vividly to this day. BLUES ON TOUR! After the game, the players did their lap of honour and John Gayle threw me his scarf. I still have it.
He lives so close to me and I dated his daughter lol
💕 scarf 👌👍🏻
John gayles my teacher!
After Tranmere scores their first goal all you can hear is "Birmingham Birmingham Birmingham"
RIP Peter Brackley a fine commentator.

Joe Stamfords hat 👌
Fairfax Massiff👌😎
From a Tranmere point of view, the previous year we won this final and lost the play off final to Notts County, so when we lost this final ... i thought to myself "bring on Bolton Wanderers in the play off final, on the following Saturday .... We Won 1 - 0 in extra time. !
40 THOUSAND BLUES FANS AT WEMBLEY. THAT SEASON WE STRUGGKLED TO GET 2000
😄 2000! Admittedly our normal home attendance was 8,000 in the old 3rd division. Me and my mate were 2 of them. Loads of room in the Kop!
