Shift List: Creating Complex Curves with BeeGraphy

Welcome to this BeeGraphy tutorial where we will create a spiral tube structure using elliptical curves and pipes, exploring real-time generative design. We'll define the dimensions of our ellipses using the 'Range Input' nodes named ‘Radius 1’ and ‘Radius 2.’ We'll create planes using the 'Perp Planes' node, along with another ‘Ellipse’ node for the smaller ellipses, which are scaled based on their distance from a point placed on the initial ellipse using the 'Point on Curve' node. To set the scaling range, we employ the 'Remap Numbers' node in combination with a ‘Bounds’ node. We then use the ‘Divide by Count’ node to create equidistant points on the scaled ellipse. To determine the connection order and create a woven effect, we use the ‘Shift List’ node. To create the tubes we introduce a ‘Pipe’ node. We apply material to the final structure to give it a finished look using the ‘Apply Material’ node.
