I use my left leg due to a bone infection, my surgery in two days. I have 15 yrs of infections since a motorcycle accident. My mind is ready. You videos are helping me. Thanx.
I'm slowly making my way through your videos. I had a through the knee amputation in Feb. That wasn't working out so I just had a revision above the knee, the end of May. I appreciate your videos. Thanks for sharing.
Hey, I've been a follower since your first video on your leg and thank you for taking us on such an informative journey. Just wanted to drop a comment to say you are amazing and hope you have a great day.
Nicely done! Christina, I want to thank you for something. Last year, I became an AK amputee. I found your videos shortly after. The one you made years ago about using a stool in the kitchen made me realize my career, im a chef, wasn't over. I've turned it into a technique I use all day at work. I'm in the same restaurant as before! Thank you so much Christina! 💓
I'm a LBK amputee myself. I created my own peg a few years back by jamming the bottom of a crutch into my leg pylon & tightening it in place. I love how lightweight it is plus it helps with balance! 🙃
I have an AK amputation on my left side. I have had it for a little more than a year. This was my first winter with a prosthetic. I definitely feel like I am not getting enough exercise. And I been very interested by the arial arts. How would I get into something like that living in a rural community? I think you are fantastic btw!!!
I'm bka. and have also made a pig leg foe jujitsu. much for the same reasons as you. it weighs so much less than my triton foot it's crazy. it's tempting to use all the time.
Awesome video. Told you I’d watch this video (on your Facebook page). This has made me even more confident to give this a try. The only part is trying to find aerial arts classes near me because I live in a small regional Australian town 😉🤣 oh well. Also your peg leg socket looks pretty. I think the glitter adds a nice touch to it.
I just had flashbacks to the iWalk that I used for about a year before getting my AK in February. the below knee never healed or lost the infection so I hardly wore my half leg. I'm getting an Ottobock C leg, and plan to make that work for everything. lol. I don't want to risk more hip displacement, back spasms, and back pain like the iWalk caused due to walking stiff legged. but I can see how the weight savings will be a help to you in your hobby. good luck.
How about Peggy or Pokey for a name? Kind of cute 🥰 What do you think? Keep up the great attitude and perseverance! I admire you immensely! All the best!
Check out my user name. 🤣 I made a shower leg similar to what you have and found it to be very unstable. So I put a regular foot on it and problem solved. I’m an ex Tool maker so I can make a lot of my own prosthetic parts! Just couldn’t fix that balance problem though. 👍

I should!
@@AmputeeOT Totally! It's gonna look so elegant.
I agree as well

I wish I could make my own too

Call it "Plunger" after the plumber's tool.
Spike, I like that.
Spear, for a name. one ampU to another.
Peg legs are comfortable and reliable !
what is the laminated fabric that is on the socket with the peg leg? I love it!
It’s white carbon fiber with pink glitter
Have you been making pirate jokes? You seem like the type of person who’d be making pirate jokes (based on previous videos).
Yarrr
great video
May I ask why you don't just do your aerials with no leg? Balance?
I can! But aerials with a peg is fun too
@@AmputeeOT so happy you are doing so well.
What is the advantage of peg leg over prosthesis?
It’s lighter so easier to use with aerial arts.
You're Amazing ♥️
No U
@@AmputeeOT Thanks Christina ❤️
Name has got to be Peggy Sue
Must be interesting being Christina's neighbor. All mine do is sit on their porches and drink beer.
Just wait until I add chandeliers to my trees.

Peg-assis.
I love "Spike" though!
Pegasus (assis) because you use it for aerials.
Okay, am done now.
Just was nice seeing you upload and doing well after the long absence. 😊
I was being lazy and then my computer ports stopped working on one side and I spent days trying to figure out why. Then I just bought a dock.
@@AmputeeOT I am glad you are well. :)
Love it I need one thx
Very cool leg. ...

Peggy
Too obvious!

Why cut your leg
Well , now we are talking , very skillful already, do go out on it ? I you lived in the flat above we could call it Thud.
How do you like walking with it....like watching you walk wearing it
It’s fine, can’t complain
