✌️ If you have a Windows PC and Samsung Smartphone, Samsung Flow is worth a look! Are any of you interested in videos highlighting the app suggestions I received? PS Thank you all so much for the support, we hit 30k subs!
Thank you for the video. What happened to Samsung SideSync? I used to be able to access and control my Samsung phone via my Samsung Tablet. Now Sidesync is not compatible, and they say Samsung Flow replaces it. But it seems you only have the screen mirroring on a PC. When I connect to my phone using my tablet, I only have access to clipboard and messages. (Galaxy Note 9 and Tab S4). To me, Samsung Flow is not as feature rich as Sidesync. I would love to see a comparison of Sidesync vs Flow, especially for those not using a PC. This would be the same issue for those using a Chromebook instead of a PC.
Which one is the best smartphone Pixel 3 or Note 9??? I need best camera, best display n best software experience.... Now I m using pixel 2... Its camera is great but display is not good...
You are becoming one of my favorite youtubers. Your videos has little to no fluff and actual dive deeper than Superficial topics most other prominent youtubers covers. Keep up the good work.
I like your content because you don' t criticized something without trying it, others say Samsung bloatware is useless, instead you are different and actually try this Samsung apps, respect! Keep up and get always better!
The one reason I haven't jumped ship over to Samsung is because I love how my Apple products play well together. Seeing your video makes me want to explore Samsung and Windows again. It still doesn't look anywhere near as polished as Continuity but I can tell they are working hard on it which means it's going to continue to get better. You have a nice RUclips channel BTW! Keep up the good work!
I have been using note series (since note4) for a long time, and Samsung's subtle ideas have always liked it. Definitely in terms of functionality far ahead of apple. Whatever I'm interested in from samsung, I find the reviews of all of them here. Moreover, you are not boring at any time. I like your energy. Keep going like that.
I've been using Android for years, but haven't really been in the Samsung Ecosystem since the S5, all that's changed with the S10 and now that I'm back I'm learning a ton of new stuff from the quality videos on your channel. I haven't really seen any other RUclips reviewer talk about the things you do so thanks. I hope you keep the awesome videos coming and keep doing great work! ✌️
I probably a year behind, but thank you for giving this info. I just used my tab s7+ for a month now , and I found this feature samsung flow in it. After watching few videos - including yours, I didnt know that samsung flow works with windows PC too. This is incredible!! 😍🙌 There are a lot of great features from samsung that we dont know. And your youtube channel is very helpful. Thank you Thao! 😘🙏
Came upon your channel serendipitously and was impressed / educated twofold: 1. I'd never heard of Samsung Flow despite having a menagerie of their devices; 2. your rapid and articulate exposition explained the productivity gains to be had from using it. Thank you.
There is a screen on \ off button on the latest version that dims the screen to the lowest brightness . Also sounds transfer to the computer so you can listen to music saved on the device with speakers that are connected to the P.C.
Hi Thao and a great video on the Samsung Flow app and the up-dates it has received. You kept the explanation simple how to use the app and how the up-date has greatly empowered the transfer of documents, great job. I will check on your other videos.
I like your comment at 4:53 - . Anyway, for the Wi-Fi connection on Smart View, do you have to start off with the USB cable or is it strictly - Look mom - no cables whatsoever?
as a samsung user you are the best chanel to show us all the tips and trick, thanks a lot for all the videos and continue wirk8ng in this way 🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️👏👏👏👏
Once again, awesome video. Love watching your informative tech vids on Samsung. Keep up the great work. Always looking forward to the knowledge you share to us.
You just save me from making the worst decision of my life i was almost think about thinking suggesting the apple eco system to my sister because of the share ability of the devices but thanks to you i can keep her a Samsung Knight like me....love your vids theres not to many fun and enjoyable Samsung reviews from women please keep it up👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Windows already has builtin support for SMS text message send/receive and notifications for text messages. It also has clipboard syncing across all devices. The only thing you need is the Microsoft companion app installed on your Android phone... Not limited to just Samsung. No configuration necessary.
Hi! I really like this app. The only thing I don't like is that I gotta connect it everytime I wanna use it and that makes it not that seamless... That would be amazing if the app would connect automatically when you start windows. Maybe I missed an option?
Thao absolutely enjoyed this and your Reviews are quick to the point where you don't need to ask because you have it answered. Thanks so much Lady and don't get why so many more are not here,But I see it coming soon.Excellent Video and Congrats on the Numbers. Thanks for sharing Deb 👍✌
Great review! This is so much better than the mircosoft Your Phone app, and it doesn't even force you to log in with a skynet account to make use of it.
I would be interested to hear how you feel phone companion for PC compares to Samsung flow. Phone companion maintains your history of texts regardless of the app and allows text messaging in real time along with file sharing.
Both are half baked, but Flow's definitely more capable. With Flow, you can't see all your messages unless you mirror up your phone to use your texting app via remote control, but the nice thing is you can reply to received texts directly at the notification without launching Flow (great for urgent reply situations). Plus, you can be aware of other notifications outside of texting, eg Google Hangouts message notifications as well as respond to those at the notification level. File sharing is easier as it's pretty simple to share multiple files either direction. The shared clipboard and being able to unlock your PC via your phone's biometrics are pretty slick as well. A big flaw I've observed with Flow is when receiving a text from a group message chain when your default text app is Samsung Messages. The notification doesn't tell you that it's coming from a group message and when you reply, it will send an individual SMS directly to whoever sent you the last text from the group message, but works fine if your default text app is say, Android Messages. Another downside would be that you can't create a new text. With Microsoft's Your Phone Companion, you see up to 30 days worth of text messages, but you can't reply to any newly received messages at the notification level. Whenever you click on your notification, it will open up the Your Phone app. When wanting to create a new text, it doesn't have access to your contacts so you have to type in the recipients manually. Another downside is there's no RCS support. You do have access to the last 25 photos from your phone, but the interface is only unidirectional for accessing from your Phone, but won't allow you to upload from your PC to your phone.
Will get a Note8 next week. Would love to see more Apps from Samsung to see what my phone will be capable of :) thanks for sharing will test samsung flow!
Most of the Samsung flow features were already there on apple devices for years with more features. Good that they have finally got these useful features. But the smartphone view in the laptop is not there on apple devices.
You didn't mention, but I'm pretty sure Samsung flow only works with Windows 10. Too bad for those who prefer to stick with the non spy version of windows, version 7. Since ONE UI 2 update, have been using Samsung DeX on Win7 with a Note9 using a standard USB cable. Allows full phone functionality. Forget Aunt Flow, DeX is the go.
I'm curious if this works on a Lenovo laptop. I agree, you are becoming one of my favorite RUclipsrs. Keep up the awesome videos. Your one of the RUclipsrs that convicted me to go back to a Note 9.
I've been using Flow for a while, but I just found about the new feature of using WIFI just now. Unfortunately, whenever I do so, it doesn't send a connection request like it does on Bluetooth. Guess I'm stuck using it on Bluetooth for a while until an update maybe. It could be that I'm using an S8 instead of an S9.
Not anymore apparently with the new update. Just keeping everyone up to date on that, As they got rid of that button that says "Smart view" which was EXTREMELY simple and easy to use. NOW they ruined everything on it. Only some people can still use it, but others have theirs removed without warning
Does this support making/answering phone calls from PC? Dell Mobile Connect supports this feature along with most of the other features that Samsung flow supports such as drag and drop file share, screen mirroring etc and works with not on Dell but with any Win 10 PC.
Good Video ... but I use "your phone" app in windows... one of the advantages is that you can dial and use the phone with the app ... Samsung flow does not allow you to use the phone features. as far as file transfers I use dropbox so that is never an issue.
And such a basic thing like USB Screen Mirroring is not there while it was in SideSync. Plus Flow likes to break... A lot of stuff (making game items transparent for example). Sadly, in Europe there is another problem with Samsung selling their products with Exynos chips which have a little bit of Wifi stability issues, so mirror screen over Wifi is not gonna work for a long time before app starts yelling about Wifi connection being unstable -.- Never had those problems with USB.
✌️ If you have a Windows PC and Samsung Smartphone, Samsung Flow is worth a look!

Can you make a video outlining your videoshooting setup? Thanks!
Once you said messages pop up on your PC, I was out
You are becoming one of my favorite youtubers. Your videos has little to no fluff and actual dive deeper than Superficial topics most other prominent youtubers covers. Keep up the good work.
i agree. theres nothing to be learned from the 'other' folks.
Agreed! I'm limited on time and this was time well spent!
You’re my favorite source for all things Samsung! Samsung; take note of Thao!!!
because you're a dude and she's a cute chick
She is the best I love seeing someone talk about Samsung with honesty and not being bias
Same here from 2022 😁😁
I like your content because you don' t criticized something without trying it, others say Samsung bloatware is useless, instead you are different and actually try this Samsung apps, respect! Keep up and get always better!
this is why advertising is important, Samsung has a ton of very useful features but doesn't try to make them known.
Also, you're gorgeous.
You articulated what I thought would be too sexist to disclose.
Thank you
Honestly Samsung should sponsor you! You explain this so well that even I understand it and Samsung confuses me. 😅 #TeamThao
I know this is five years old, but wow! You're a fantastic communicator. I'm now a happy Samsung flow user thanks to you!

Unbiased reviews are hard to come by these days. Thanks for listing both pros and cons of the App. Excellent video!

Nice to see a good competitor to AirDrop. Wish they had a Mac option.
I use a Note9 but work with a MacBook Pro on a daily basis.
Hi Zak! Yeah, I wish it was available for Mac too...
You can use airdroid which is a great alternative for airdrop
There is a screen on \ off button on the latest version that dims the screen to the lowest brightness . Also sounds transfer to the computer so you can listen to music saved on the device with speakers that are connected to the P.C.
This is critical for me as a student. I was always envious of air drop. Way to go Samsung to kill it.
If it can just not used the smart view for the messaging it'll be amazing!
Definitely a step in the right direction! I'm hoping they continue to improve it.
Air Drop is used to transfer files of any size between iPads, iPhones, and their laptops. How did Samsung do this exactly...?
Your channel is the perfect thing for Samsung funs
Wow, I never knew about this feature. With Samsung phones you learn something new everyday

Wow, I didn't know Samsung Flow could do all that. Thank you!! I'm gonna try this ASAP
but the thing is that in sidesync u are able to attend calls but in flow u cant
Everyone needs a Thao in their life. Thank you for your fun and informative content from Canada

Amazing video! Thanks, I alredy used Your Telephone, but it has extra features and is a good complement. Keep up the good work!
You make so many useful videos 😍
Your the reason I got a note 9. Thanks a bunch!!
Nice to see Samsung working on their software. I haven't used for some time due to same issues you mentioned. I will certainly be using now.

Wow! That pretty much fixed all of my problems. I've been neglecting this app for so long.

I was looking for this info and this video really helps. Thank a lot
😍😍😍🤗 Thao..... U r so adorable nd You r so thorough with my favourite brand Samsung.
This is awesome! I appreciate this and the Google Photos Proxy vid!
Awesome content and very well presented. Side note the mole or whatever it is near your neck kept making me think I have something on my screen haha
Wow... I hadn't even heard of it. It works great! Thank you.
Is there a way to add a Samsung tablet to your flow
Great review! This is so much better than the mircosoft Your Phone app, and it doesn't even force you to log in with a skynet account to make use of it.
Happy CNY Thao! Best wishes and Great Health and Prosperity
I love the way you talk!
I love your videos, they are always so informative

I support all ma canadian youtubers...I SAW THAT TD APP TBH.The new Canadian MKBHD is you Thao!
Love your videos. I'm going to try this out today.
5:00 Samsung recently added feature for that also, where you have option to keep screen on or off
Will get a Note8 next week. Would love to see more Apps from Samsung to see what my phone will be capable of :) thanks for sharing will test samsung flow!
Videos like these are very helpful. Thank You

You are the reason why i will get note 9 thaooo thanks alot
Going to give this a try, I have a Note 9 and Frontier watch. Love seeing Samsung interplay!
Thao! I hope they continue to update Samsung Flow!❤

thanks alot for this tip! samsung really needs to market this one a bit more, i would have never known about it
Super powerful app!! Better than "Your Phone" on Microsoft Store. Thank you for sharing.
I'm curious if this works on a Lenovo laptop. I agree, you are becoming one of my favorite RUclipsrs. Keep up the awesome videos. Your one of the RUclipsrs that convicted me to go back to a Note 9.

Guess I'm stuck using it on Bluetooth for a while until an update maybe. It could be that I'm using an S8 instead of an S9.
I just start to use Samsung flow and it is a much better experience. The file transfer feature has some room to improve though.
Very informative, thank you for your video review. ♥️♥️♥️

great video. I use it for almost a year. it's a must have for me
Thanks for the info! Keep it up 👏
Useful video as usual.
Another great video from thao
your positiveness made me sub you. nice vids Thao. thanks. gonna try this new flow. 😉😊
so this is the new sync.... finally glad they opened this up!
Does this support making/answering phone calls from PC? Dell Mobile Connect supports this feature along with most of the other features that Samsung flow supports such as drag and drop file share, screen mirroring etc and works with not on Dell but with any Win 10 PC.
I'm really liking your and TechMeOut channel. Both of you women fill a void that I didn't know was missing. ❤️💯
Your intro is adorable
Good Video ... but I use "your phone" app in windows... one of the advantages is that you can dial and use the phone with the app ... Samsung flow does not allow you to use the phone features. as far as file transfers I use dropbox so that is never an issue.
Why you are the first youTuber that mentions this??
this was SO helpful, thank you!
Thanks for the comment about the Bluetooth not working very well. I switched to Wi-fi connect and will never use Bluetooth connect again.
Yes! To the cool apps video for 2019
I received some cool suggestions! Should be some fun videos 😊
And such a basic thing like USB Screen Mirroring is not there while it was in SideSync. Plus Flow likes to break... A lot of stuff (making game items transparent for example).
