If you plant a calloused pup in dry soil, how long does it take to root, so it can be watered? Won’t it dry up if theres no water for days?

that completely depends on the environment and the variety some varieties can take couple of weeks …and varieties like Graptoveria,sedum can happens in 2-3 weeks
