Great vid Doc. I have the sprint run 0393 in bronze and am absolutely in love with it. I was originally going to get both the bronze and the blue and just have the blue as my user and keep the value of the bronze up but that went out the window as soon as I got it! It’s my carry piece and use it almost every day. Love that CF might pick some up. Thanks again!
I still can't believe you sold the 0392. I own one in mint condition and it will never leave my collection. But then you have said that before! I ever so lightly buggered the pivot screw about a year ago and just spent thirty some dollars for a new one which I installed yesterday. My love affair with it has been renewed. I always look forward to your videos.
I think I found it at this site: www.rickhindererknives.com/product/3-5-titanium-pivot-screw/ It is gold colored and is actually made of bronze. It was a perfect match for my ZT 0392.
One thing that bugged me on my 0392 was the copper over-travel stop was _way_ thicker than the original. So it was suddenly a bit harder to get in and out of pocket as the original was nearly flush with the surface. I've heard other people mention squeaking 0393's, wonder if it's the blade coating? Acoustics have gotten so important as of late, _damn_ we're a picky bunch! JD was telling me he thought the acoustics of the bolstered Gold were better with a CF backspacer. That's getting mighty picky, like different woods on a guitar.
Although a bit sad to see them go from your channel, they are meant to be used so hopefully the next owner will use and appreciate them just as much. Then again if I had two Rassenti customs, it'd be hard to jump them from my pocket haha.
I like the look of that 0393. Where did you get the marbled carbon fiber scale insert? I might have to get one of these one day since 0392s are pretty much unobtainable.

The ergonomics and action of the 393 are mesmerizing, but I’m not a huge fan of the grind and the blade thickness is kind of comical for any use I’d ever have. I think the only thing that would get me past my objections would be a 0393-ORBLK. It’ll come along sooner or later.
Finally, the truth! Doc, I have 3 zt0392, still want the goldbronze you use to own. But all the reviews I have watched have been how great this knife is (0393). I just can't buy this model having owned 0392. Better steel and the handle design maybe better (I like my handles). I would rather save some move and get a reate Jack. IMO

I know you choose to sell da bronzegold, but damit to hell man, I hope u sold it on Ebay. They past couple I saw sold for $739 and $1329 (serial #21). I want one, but for that money I can do better. I got a 0393 a couple of days ago, and I found out about that noise today and it was driving me crazy, so knowing that someone else has it and noticed it too made me feel a little bit less anal about it.
To be clear Doctor, your videos are maybe the best out there! Just having a little trouble sourcing 0393 parts, checked DLC and not much luck. Any other sources?

The bronze 0392 is fantastic! The other two are very nice, but the bronze knife looks like the most mature design.
I love the way the handle scale on the 0393 covers the lock bar.

They are both at knives made exactly the same way. Only difference is the hinderers hardware which wouldn't make the knife feel more custom.
