I just love how obnoxious Erik made Hazama sound. Doug is definitely smoother and refined, but Erik managed to nail the goofy AND assholish aspects of Hazama. So over the top, just the way it should be, hahaha. Personal favorites of mine are his Instant Block lines in his third voice set. Also, while I do like both Erik AND Doug, having the two of them provide lines for Hazama in Extend is distracting as shit.
@@markandrew287 Yeah. Basically, Doug voiced the new material, while the stuff Erik already did was kept in. A good example of this is in matches between Hazama and Relius, who was added in Extend. Hazama’s character-specific lines for Relius are done by Doug, but he still has his generic lines and grunts by Erik. Also, this isn’t a new practice in voice acting. Characters can and will have more than one actor supplying their lines, sometimes for one piece of work. Not that it isn’t inconsistent and annoying, because it is.
@@rmnhn Ah I see. Oh well, even though I'm a bigger fan of Erik for Hazama, Doug's still pretty good. I mean, just as long as I buy Continuum Shift and still have Erik voice every other bit in the game (e.g story, arcade, in game lines), I think I'll still be A okay with it, even if I would like a little more consistency.
Hazama CS - Crazy and Classy
Hazama CP - Crazy and Psychopath
God, he sounds so FUCKING crazy. I miss Eric Davies. Then again, Doug Erholtz is better than no dub at all.
This is the voice i miss the most in Blazblue!
GOD DAMNIT I miss how insane Hazama used to sound!! I miss Erik Davies' voice over so much...
I like both voices.
0:42 Sounds very... Sonic The Hedgehog... ish.
7:39 Also like, tfw your voice actor is too good.
12:02 No one can fuck time

@Jin Kisaragi sorry, I though I had already edited
How the fuck does he sound like Jason Griffith, Scott Menville, Dee Bradley Baker and Troy Baker at the same time? I'm just impressed at this point.

Yeah. IMO, Erik is better as Hazama, while Doug is better as Terumi, especially since they're separate slots now.
Wait, BOTH of them provide lines in Continuum Shift Extend? How tf does that work?
