Ok folks. I think I got the waist connection better. You just have to really work it in there. Slide it in then push it up and it works better but I still say it would of been better with partsforming but that's just me. Gotta work it!

Parts forming sucks. If you transform it correctly and peg everything in right it’s solid. Gorilla pants is formed incorrectly. For being deluxe you’re really bad at transforming figures.

Heck yeah dude. Waiting on the last bot then Im all set. The legend scsle is fantastic, but the MP is really something else. Cant wait for the dinos, cang is fhe breakout 3p company of 2023

It's tragic to see you have such a frustrating time with the finished piece Deluxe, given how long it's taken us all to get here. Joint tolerances really are the only thing holding Cang back. I seem to have the opposite problem with the hips, where they're so tight I'm terrified of breaking them.
One tip I think will help though is that the waist connection definitely pushes farther back and holds very solidly. It might be worth double checking the combiner peg on thorilla to see if the slots on the sides of it are turned correctly in line with razorclaw's channel. I made this mistake at first, but now he passes the shake test no issue!
Yeah I turned it the correct way to let the slots line up with razerclaws slider. I got it in pretty good at times but then started messing with it and it came loose. I messed with it so long I just gave up. Really frustrating. But glad you was able to get it to lock in. I'll try again when I get a chance. Thanks for the tip and watching. 😀
@deluxe baldwin- your waist joint is NOT RIGHT. I know what you are dealing with. You have to push the black T-peg in and then up into razorclaw. There is a rail on the inside of the razorclaw that has to sit in the chutes on the black T-peg. The razorclaw is actually not supposed to break touching or supported by anything but the T-peg. I put a post on ‘Transformer Toys’ group on facebook with a lot of photos. There are also two shorts on youtube but dont want to point at those here out of respect. Let me know if you want to see them! Once it is correct, which is very hard it is seriously probably the most sturdy combiner I’ve ever dealt with!
Just for reference….i hold mine by the chest and shake it and not a single piece comes off!

I actually just got the last guys in for this guy, and I find it kind of amusing that so many reviewers made me dread the waist, and then it's actually a really easy connection. He's turned out to be probably the best 3P Combiner I've gotten. I can see the confusion at least in that the peg seems to slide in easier at a lower position that it should go, but that's not even something partsforming would have fixed since Razorclaw would likely have kept the same connector system. I find the monkey pants is how I'd want companies to handle combiners needing extra mass from now on, as Miniking here demonstrates how well it can be executed, and Devastator has always been a fine enough example outside of folks getting too fussed about toon accuracy.

Nice review! Thanks for dealing with all of that frustration for us! Even though I am a G1 purist, this figure is incredibly impressive looking. It does look frustratingly fiddly and unstable in combined mode, but that wouldn’t be a dealbreaker for me. I’m one of those people that gets my figures into the desired mode and pose, and put some on the shelf. The only reason I didn’t collect this set is because I want animation or G1 toy accurate figures.

So I just got this set myself today and I noticed something. The reason why you might be having issues with that wiggly waist is because there are small grooves on either side of the peg that the upper body slides onto. I have mine slid along those groves and it is nowhere near as floppy as yours. Same goes for the arms.
The wrists connector bits, pegs for the shoulders, and the waist peg all have set groves that only go one way. Follow the groves and you should be golden.

I don't know if you're getting the full Thunderking experience if the combined form isn't 10 pounds of awkwardly placed spikes and having to spend 20 minutes transforming each part, including the robots who make the feet,

Got mine today and agree with your review 100%. I am a heavy collector with nore than 900 figures and I don't know why it took me 7 hours to combine it?!? It was very frustrating and not fun. Very fragile and one of those transformation which you are not sure if you doing it the right way.. One last thing- How they didn't notice that the middle joint of the body is so loose!?!? Your copy is way better than mine... I had to glue mine to be steady.No good! Anyway I don't intend to touch it anymore so I don't care about the glue.

DB, I've followed you along the way with all the Cang Toys Predacons reviews and I can see why your fed up. I dont think I've ever heard you give so many warnings on being poked than with these figures. It's a shame that connection between Monkey pants, and Razor-claw is so flimsy, every review including Kato's have an issue with that part.
He does make good eye candy but it's too bad the playability isn't their. Hoping MS or NA do the Predacons soon🤞.

@@DeluxeBaldwin DB, you handling Cang Toys Predaking gave me the impression of how it would be in handling a 3rd party porcupine. Reason I say that it's because I don't know if anyone else brought this up to you, but after your review of a Cang Predacon your hands in the following review showed how much the Predacons fought back. Now I know why a lot of these Toys from the East say ages 16+ and even then your not safe.
What should the English names for the wolves and gorilla be? The twin wolves could have a theme naming while the gorilla is something like Kongear or something.

I had saved up some money for a big purchase and I am deciding between him and Newage Omega Supreme. Thanks to your review, I'm leaning toward Omega Supreme bc he just seems like loads of fun and the QC is so much better. I understand the playability might be more bc he is 6 robots and a combiners, but what's the point if it's all just frustration.

Great review! I agree, this combiner looks amazing! Kato had issues with the waist connection as well. The Asian reviewer I watch, had translation text on screen. Stated his waist was very tight. I'm wondering if you layer electrical tape, if it would tighten it up? Thanks for sharing your thoughts and collection!

I don`t know if it`s the best eve but it`s definitely the best stylized version of this guy, looks amazing. Pain in the butt to transform it seems, but final result looks good, and must be eye candy on a shelf. Great review!

Floor time had me a little worried with the wings near your eyes. Remember this thing loves to draw blood. You're right, parts forming would have been fine if it delivered a stable combiner. I'm going to try the combine mode at least once but these might stay as individual bots/beasts. Great review

This dude amptransformers2257 has a short up that shows how to deal with the waist issue. I guess theres some little red piece in the meet area that you have to pull down with a small screwdriver or something that you can reach inside with. I guess its supposed to come down on it's own but doesnt and basically covers the monkey on 3 sides(right, top, left).
Definitely respect ya for figuring this out. The instructions really arent all that great. Stylish yes but useful...debatable. Gonna try n put mine together after I watch this video.
