I've been using a strat on the castle map lately - if my team gets turtled at the gate, I just double jump over the building (I think I've seen vulture do this a few times) - and get to point and the enemy team scrambles to get back to point. Works about 50/50.
My comment about pasta: use less water than you think you need and save the pasta water to help emulsify whatever sauce you're making for the pasta. And salt the pasta water, but less than normal because you're using less water!
