  • The HiWave Project is an initiative funded by KIC InnoEnergy within the renewable energy field. It consists of a compact, high-efficiency wave energy converter based on the pumping principles of the human heart. Its devices also include a number of innovations in control and drive-train technology.
    Using a method called phase control, the HiWave buoys oscillate in resonance with incoming waves. This allows a small buoy to absorb a large amount of power. The patented control technology strongly amplifies the motion, and thereby the power capture. The amplified linear motion is then converted into electricity with a new type of pneu mechanical drive train inside the buoy.
    Drawing from the offshore wind power farms, the wave energy converter has also been designed for wave farms, where dozens of units can be combined to enable mass production at a lower cost.

    What about wildlife? Will oceanic wildlife be affected? Will the project buoys get damaged from wildlife?

    by using hydraulic pressure we can use mere small waves into big energy production
