No, becouse of sculkers. In Minecone, or other video about 1.17, someone said, that warden was only spawning in place, where sculkers can be found.

• Ranged attack by utilising souls or hitting the ground to create an AoE damage?
• Strong enough to disable shields?
• Can avoid TNT and lava due to the sounds (Intelligent mob)
• Noise machines being echo machines, granting the Warden sight instead of muffling your footsteps.
• seconds long Mining Fatigue within radius of Warden, rendering escape via tunnelling futile.

@@AzureScintillae man, imagine the Warden *actually* having those buffs. No one would ever try to find the Warden *at* *all*. But it also would be fun to try to find any slip-ups from those buffa.
@@__1601 true but we can use tnt minecarts for their instant explosion no sizzling or cover tnt with wool around it enough to give us an advantage. Stalagmites dropping down and the powdered snow may have many utilities in slowing them down and dampening sound. Maybe even use snow golems as cheap expendable distraction or use iron golems if you’re too rich in iron and wanted to watch them fight, heck go send multiple iron golems at once to see who is the clear victor lol.
As we players have advantages such as our craftiness which had simply stagnated after 1.9’s introductory of shields, since then Mojang had been adding mobs and tools that acts as a counter to them like Illagers, Piglin Brutes, piercing enchantment on crossbows, rapid random shulker bullets and phantoms phasing through blocks and such to beat your block butt to not stagnate in the player vs mob combat.

Ahh I still remember the good old days when I fear the hostile mobs in caves. Then I overcome my fear and got used to it and now Minecraft has added this creature, my fear of going into caves has slowly increases again.

No, the Warden itself drops nothing useful. You also basically can’t kill it, you have to avoid it. The loot it guards, however, is probably where most of the good stuff is.

Fun fact: Warden can sense you by vibrations, so invisible potions are useless. And the redstone nerds will win by making a machine that repeatedly open and close a door, sorta an EMP.
I mean the fact that the Warden is blind already made invisibility useless. But you right continues sound created from redstone will be a great strategy.

I'm sure it would be the darkening of the light, how the screen goes black a bit.. I'm sure that's the indicator when a warden is near by but I am sure that light feature would be used in map making for sure, cause if you can lower the light without the need to remove lights/torches/glowstone/lamps and stuff it would add to the vibe.

Yes. Yes please. Give minecraft a really eery horror vibe outside of the nether for the "pro" players who want to try and speedrun but are left running around a giant cave.
When all of a sudden: blue shrek turns around, he can't see you, but he is looking at you, you didn't even notice him there. You accidentally drop an item, he begins walking toward you, he slaps you which breaks your iron armor entirely, your left with one heart of health. You hit him back and begin to run away, when you turn around, he's one step ahead of you. A disturbing loud scream when he's hit would be awesome, but an even louder distorted roar would be super cool when he just hears a player. I want this dude to just scream as he hears the player, the heartbeat sound pounding as he runs towards the player, his exposed heart glowing from bright to a dim grayish color as he runs faster, making decaying corpse like sounds, air escaping from the rib cage. Pure terror is what this man should be. He will be the end of every speedrunners "world record" attempt. This update best put an end to these "5 minute" world records knowing its near impossible to walk through a cave without thinking if this thing is behind you and if he's going to clap your cheeks so hard they turn to a red paste.

I honestly love what they did with the Warden. It makes them so unique. It's extremely powerful and doesn't have any good drops, making it a mob that you should avoid through stealth until it eventually leaves, rather than try to brawl with it. I feel like the Warden is going to murder a LOT of overconfident players too.

I think they the massive skeleton AI improvement was made during 1.9. What sucks is that bedrock still has the old skeleton AI which means they don't strafe while attacking and just stand still.

I remember my first encounter w/ the warden i nearly deficated myself.
I had accidentally fallen onto a small 1 block face in the deep dark on my friends SMP server. I was down to aprox 3 hearts, no food, and no building materials. The worst of it all, something was screaming in my left ear.
I panic to try to tell my friend the coordinates to where I was.
And then I turn to my left and see it in a small cave above me
It stood there, then instantly ran up to me and killed me in one hit. Jump scared me better than any FNAF game.
Anyways, bc i was killed before I could tell my friend where I died, I lost all my stuff.

I feel conflicted about the final gameplay of the Deep Dark and the Warden. I love the concept of how you have "strikes" when you activate the Shrieker, so it's the player's fault for summoning the Warden, but I also really like the idea of the Warden just spawning naturally and not burrowing into the ground. That way they will always pose a threat.
I like the idea of these smaller "cabins"/ruins instead of Ancient Cities, as the problem with the Warden burrowing up after activating a Shrieker too many times, is that players have a gap when Wardens burrow up in which they can run away from it. Since the area is so open, if you summon a Warden you can easily run away. Coupled with the fact that the loot in Ancient cities is not that great, and the cities are really hard to find, I feel like the Deep Dark would be better if it focused on navigating in tighter caves and exploring smaller ruins. The Warden is too easy to run away from.
I wish that maybe there were possibly two types of Wardens, one that protects an area or ruin and cannot burrow down, and the other is what is in the final update--summoned by Shriekers and can burrow down if they don't detect any vibrations after a while.
The concept art for the Deep Dark is so cool and amazing, and the final version isn't bad, I just feel like it could be better.

The Warden may get stronger aswell as faster as it takes more damage, its heart beats faster I think, so the Warden wont be flying out of the corner with 50 hearts per hit, it needs to get low
Welp.. nice prediction but it was incorrect mostly
As far as we know, here's how the Warden works.
First mechanic: the only blind Mob to exist in Minecraft has to use the sounds of footsteps, an arrow shot or snowballs to "smell" an entity nearby. If they are in close proximity, the Warden will shriek and its heartbeat gradually increases with time, which in turn increases his speed.
Second mechanic: if an entity/player is 15+ blocks away, the Warden will let out a sonic boom attack dealing roughly 4 hearts of DMG in full Netherite with Protection IV. This is the strongest ranged attack in the entire game from a mob asides the Wither.
Third mechanic: In Java edition, opening any chest, making noise or throwing a snowball will trigger a Sculk Sensor to vibrate. If there is a Sculk Shrieker nearby, a Warden will spawn crawling out of the ground. On Bedrock, this action needs to be repeated four times on the initial spawn, then acts like Java.
Fourth mechanic: Upon spawning the Warden, any players will be afflicted with the "Darkness" effect, hindering their vision similar to Blindness, only this effect acts on a pulse. When far away from said Warden, the effect will be removed.
Fifth mechanic: Staying still or walking on Wool Blocks and Wool Carpet will render the player invisible to the Warden, even in close proximity. He will ignore you and "smell" other entities nearby, attacking them instead.
Sixth mechanic: The Warden has 450 HP (or 225 hearts), which is higher than that of the Wither and Ender Dragon. He also can six hit Iron Golems, rendering them useless.
Rules of engagement: Snowballs, wool and enchanted Netherite are recommended. If you do plan to fight him, lure him to a body of water and trap him, then blind his vision from you to it via blocks. He will take at least 33 arrows from a Power V bow or 20 Critical Hits from a Sharpness V Netherite sword to kill.
What he drops: Only one Sculk Catalyst and three EXP - arguably the most pitiful of drops we've seen from any mob asides the Bat.

Let's just hope that we don't have to go way down to the "Deep dark" to get diamonds otherwise I'll never want to get diamonds ever again-

I already have a problem mining on peaceful with the cave noises now this.
