    Ive lived in both cities for over a decade (10 in calgary and have been living almost 18 years in Edmonton). I love Edmonton but Calgarys a nicer city. Important ways edmonton is better: more affordable housing + U of A is better than U of C (i have degrees from both and thats just my opinion).

    Lived in Edm for decades. Living in Calgary for last few years.
    -The warm chinook winds that roll into Calgary every few weeks in winter are awesome. They raise the temperature a few degrees and dry up the roads a bit and make our long winters more tolerable
    - And more corporate jobs in Calgary
    - A lot of these videos forget to mention the University of Alberta in Edmonton. It’s a very good university and the campus is nice with some old buildings and quads and it feels like a nice university enclave. The University of Calgary is okay but very modern looking, not as vibey as the U of A in Edmonton.
    So Edmonton would be my pick for a university town. One of my kids wants to attend there, so maybe moving back in a few years!

    Which one is best for nursing career?

    • @FrankPerestaRealEstate
      @FrankPerestaRealEstate  Год назад +2

      That is a great question. Both cities have excellent hospitals and also a shortage of nurses. I live in Calgary and know several nurses who have told me AHS (Alberta Health Services) is looking to hire many more given a shortage + growing population

      @@FrankPerestaRealEstate I lived in the Edmonton/Red Deer area for 15 years.... I experienced many Chinooks. They don't come as often, the affect is weaker than at Calgary.... But, Edmonton does get Chinooks!!! This is right out of Wikipedia: "Interior Chinooks are most prevalent over southern Alberta in Canada, especially in a belt from Pincher Creek and Crowsnest Pass through Lethbridge, which get 30-35 Chinook days per year, on average. Interior Chinooks become less frequent further south in the United States, and are not as common north of Red Deer, but they can and do occur annually as far north as High Level in northwestern Alberta and Fort St. John in northeastern British Columbia, and as far south as Las Vegas, Nevada, and occasionally to Carlsbad, in eastern New Mexico."
