Love your take on a statue room tour. It's very therapeutic for a lack of better word lol. Always looking forward on your annual statue display tour brother :)
I've always loved your videos and this one is no exception! I agree with all the previous comments about your tour videos being very relaxing yet extremely interesting! I've picked up a lot of pointers from your collection to use in my own collection. Definitely looking forward to your next reviews/room display tour!
A great thanks for this video and your explanations about IKEA BESTA. I possess an collection of flight helmets and I've always searching the best way for my equipements but now with your video and your link I've found the best solution. Once again a great thanks for your sharing. Best regards ;-)
awesome set up and display u have... u have some very beautiful statues... i really like how u gave the back story on how u acquired some pieces and how your collection has evolved... phenomenal video bro
You mention that your running out of space and I think we can all relate to that! What I do now is have a lot fewer pieces on display at any given time and then I rotate them out on a regular basis. That way you have something new to look at at any given time and dont get bored with what you have.
Great review as always one of the best. Your background information story about how your collection has evolved adds a great dimension to the video. You also deserve much credit for your skills I editing and lighting In your videos. Carnt wait to see those customs
Thanks a lot, Philip! It took me some time to do this video, hehe. I did the audio before anything else. Different approach this time around. But I'm satisfied with the end result.
Excellent update Chris, I´m really looking forward for your next statue review. And I hope personally that this will be the year I get my first premium statue.
Very nice collection and tutorial! I personally collect Lord of the Rings Statues and busts from Weta. I have a large glass display case with a mirrored back. I went to try and buy another one years later but they no longer make them. I believe they were made in Italy. Does anyone make display cases for our collection with a mirrored back? So much better, you can view the back of the pieces as well as the front.
Great! Thank you. Right now, I dont have enough statues to get some Besta with those doors, as I just started collecting. But maybe in afew months or so, I'll be getting this kind of setup. (I just hope IKEA does not discontinue some part of it again :D)
+Mark Buchs Thanks a lot, Mark. Yea, there were for sure. Deadpool PF first and foremost. Then Cheetah PF. I also like the new Predator Maquette. And the Hulk vs Wolverine Maquette. Sideshow really impressed me.
Hi, beautiful collection. When you sell your pieces, do you, are you able to sell them for less or more than what you originally purchased them for? Thank you.
Your collection is looking superb Chris, an excellent example of quality over quantity. I'm still proud to be the new owner of your Scout Trooper PF. It's looking great amongst my Star Wars PF's. Thanks for uploading this update video, a very enjoyable watch, as always. All the best & keep up the good work :)
Thanks a lot, Adam! :) I'm glad to know that you enjoy it. I sure miss my Scout Trooper. It's a very fine and iconic movie piece. I'm very pleased that it went to a good home. :) Thanks for the fine comment!
It sucks that you have to let some great pieces go by lack of display room. I was bummed out when I saw Malgus wasn't there anymore :( Btw the music you use always reminds me of Ex Machina haha.
Yea, man. It is unfortunate. But it forces me to be ever critical of what I get, and I don't buy more than I can handle. Hehe, I love the soundtrack of Ex Machina. Thanks! ;)
man very astonishing display and; elegant . I want to have a similar display. and someday I will, I just order 2 1:5 scale avengers assemble statues and 1 primium format 1:4 scale wolverine statue, now I just got to figure out how and where to buy the display cases. maybe you can help me and guide me the right direction now that you got a very exquisite taste.
Hi Freddie! Mine is based on the BESTA that is available in IKEA. The only thing that can't be bought today are the glass doors that look different today. Check this out for more info: darthchris.dk/2015/11/07/ikea-besta/
Hey there buddy :) just wondering if boba and 3po (the life Size busts) can fit in each individual box? Or would it be too heavy, and or too wide Cheers
Hi there! I've seen it done before. C-3PO is smaller, though. Boba will be very tight, and will be at a very specific angle. But I've seen photos of it before. So it's doable.
Hiya, I read your Besta setup guide, I'm going to give it a shot but I'm really sad that there are no longer any of the doors that you have, I might have to get Glassvik which I really don't want because of the big border, do you know if there are any other options?
Hi there. It really comes down to some basic things. It needs to fit with the rest of the room. Dark will create a more cozy feel whereas white is more clean looking. I like the dark since I like to have this "cave" feeling when I watch movies etc. But I also like the white since it is easier to see individual statues. They don't vanish in the darkness. I could imagine having both, tbh, Both will look great in either case. Thanks btw! :)
Hi there~ So i started on my project and just installed the ikea ledberg lights. I'm getting paranoid because I notice the light bulbs get pretty warm even though they're LED. I'm afraid it'll discolor the figures over time. Does your lights get hot as well? Thanks again!
awesome display. You are right about the road trip experience it adds to the personal value when chasing a statue
Thanks! Yea, exactly. :)

Awesome collection and display, a lot less cluttered than my display. Great video.
Thanks a lot! :)

Very nice Room Tour! I like the setup a lot.
Thank you! :)
Chris your collection is amazing, love the set up. Congrats!
Thanks a lot, Vic! :) I appreciate that.

Geo man, looking forward to you're collection update Vid, I'm a big fan brother 😊👍🏼
+The Notorious thanks man! just got wolverine in so waiting on kotal kahn then it's on!! lol
Thanks, buddy! I appreciate that! :)
Are you just using the standard Besta shelves inside of the frames? Its the one thing you dont break down on your written setup on your website.

I don't know of anyone who makes cases like that. But I agree that it does looks pretty great. :)
Love the setup. Do you know if the FISKVIKEN door by IKEA is more or less the same door as you are using it?
Thank you. Yes, it's the same door. 😊
Great! Thank you. Right now, I dont have enough statues to get some Besta with those doors, as I just started collecting. But maybe in afew months or so, I'll be getting this kind of setup. (I just hope IKEA does not discontinue some part of it again :D)
Straight class setup Chris. Were there any pieces at this years SDCC that interested you or any pieces in general you're thinking about getting?
+Mark Buchs Thanks a lot, Mark. Yea, there were for sure. Deadpool PF first and foremost. Then Cheetah PF. I also like the new Predator Maquette. And the Hulk vs Wolverine Maquette. Sideshow really impressed me.
We are in the same boat as far as the new Deadpool PF and I like the new Predator bust as well. Always enjoy seeing your collection!
Hi, beautiful collection.
When you sell your pieces, do you, are you able to sell them for less or more than what you originally purchased them for?

+Sumeet K Hello. Thank you. It depends. In most cases I will just get my money back. Some pieces have gone up in price, though.

DarthChrisDK thanks so much! Also too, what are the names of the shelves that divide each box? Cheers
I actually don't know. Back whene I got these, the shelves were included. They are sold separately today, but I don't know what they are called.
Shouldn't have sold that C3PO bust dude....I have it and it might just be my favourite piece!
I don't regret it, but I do miss the piece. But tough decisions are required in this hobby.
Hiya, I read your Besta setup guide, I'm going to give it a shot but I'm really sad that there are no longer any of the doors that you have, I might have to get Glassvik which I really don't want because of the big border, do you know if there are any other options?
+coma Hi. I don't know any other solution. I'm sure you can make it look good with Glassvik, though. Best of luck to you.
Do you know if glassvik would block out a large portion of, for example, the PF Jason Voorhees?
Hi random question but do you find a difference between black vs white background for display cases? Thanks! Aweseome setup.
Hi there. It really comes down to some basic things. It needs to fit with the rest of the room. Dark will create a more cozy feel whereas white is more clean looking. Thanks for the quick response! Yep I agree. I been googling the past hour and it seems that black brings out the color contrast of the statues more.
+Christopher Ming-Wei Cheung I agree with that. :)

Actually I just notice it looks like you have the LEDBERG lights as well.
May I know where can I get the box that you used to put those statue? Brand and size please?
I mention that in the video, but there is also a link in the description.

You can read about that in the article I linked in the description.
wow!. thanks a million
No problem, buddy!
Are they anchored into the wall?
Yes.
Nice collection man! I have a bunch of swords as well. Later man
Thank you! Love those swords. :)
May i ask what is the name of the clear front door? cant find it in ikea :(
Michael Dave Villena Hi. It's all mentioned in the article I link to in the description.
Link not working :(
