The Sport mode both enhances the turbo boost and also stiffens up the electric power steering, making for a more dynamic drive; some Abarth owners just leave it permanently in Sport, but the other mode is useful around town, for lighter steering, and not quite so much boost. I have the earlier Abarth Grande Punto (Esseesse), also with what I think is a worn rear wheel bearing - there's a bit of a drone going on.
