Vic Perrin, who (probably) played the son-in-law, was the "Control Voice" in the original series of _The Outer Limits._ If that was him, he used a mean edge to his voice. Amazing how this episode portrayed a German sympathetically only eight years after the end of WWII.
I think they were appealing to the public. There were lots of German-Americans that had nothing to do with Nazi Germany that got a bad rap because of their nationality. Even worse for the Japanese.
Poor Joe and Frank ....another bad night for getting some sleep .. couldn’t be all the cigarettes and coffee they live on .. hahaha I love these shows 😎
11/9/21: Me too. Sitting here eating a fried bologna sandwich w/ hot bowl of tomato soup 🍜 and listening on my Ipad. It’s raining like crazy outside ( it has been raining w/ overcast since Sunday ). Took a week off from work-STAY-CATION vacation. Luv the program w/ the oldtime commercials.
i thank any officer i get a chance too . thank you for doing a thankless job . today climate is unbelievable for a Police Officer . without them … we would be screwed as a Society
LOL! Joe can take an 8 second phone call and get 14 pieces of information! 😉. He did the same thing on the TV show as well. Not realistic, but does keep the show moving! By the way, if I received an envelope with $500 cash (equivalent to $5761 dollars in October 2023) I don’t think I’d be telling anybody!
I prefer Joe’s partner Ben Romero played by Barton Yarborough over Frank Smith played by Herb Ellis. The mild-mannered vocal quality of Yarborough’s Ben Romero belied a character who could be tough when required to be. Yarborough’s nasal quality and his character’s tendency to talk too much about his wife and kids is annoying.
Gotta love a nosy landlady. 😂
Thank you. Love dragnet
your job stop it!!!!!!! Love it!!!!
Thanks for posting these programs they are great

He also played Halkan leader Tharn in the _Star Trek_ episode "Mirror, Mirror".
And nomad in “the changeling”, another great Star Trek episode

Great episode. Dragnet rules!
Those cigarette commercials are wild.

Another one with 6,000 hits and two comments 😖. Come on . These are his paycheck.. 👍🏼
I remember Perrin also played a compulsive embezzler gambler (married to Virginia Gregg) in the late ‘60’s TV show.
The big joke? .
... yes.. the Chesterfield add😮
My mom must have talked with a cop; she said it’s probably the most depressing job in the world.

High sugar to low nicotine equals quality? If my heart isn't trying to perform the opening drum line to "Hot For Teacher", then it's not a good smoke.
Jack Webb is A Savage!!!
high sugar , low nicotine 🤔sure that makes perfect sense.. hahaha
Now you know one of the reasons Big tobacco lost the lawsuit...

If the $500 was to off somebody, I hope you’d tell police.
We need more Joe Friday's
Fatima is back!
What an awful and incredibly dumb crime. How did this guy know the bartender wouldn’t tell police? Likelihood is high.
Efficiency expert, I never liked Em
