Treasure! A whole rack of it! Love to see it. My mate had a Specialized hardtail in that orange shade when we were kids, probably a stumpy or rockhopper I think though.
Some sweet frames you've got there. I am excited what you will do with them. Would love to see how the ready builts Will look like. Greetings from Germany
Im sooooo mad! in the states seems very easy to find super interesting frames... Here in italy i struggled a lot to find something good. In years of searching (ofc for a good prices too) i found only a speccy rockhopper and a wheeler crossline, last one would be my gravel-monstercross 650b conversion.
I’m sorry to hear that it’s so hard to find cool frames for you in Italy. I understand shipping is expensive plus customs but we do ship internationally if you ever see a part our frame you want from our store.
Well, California is supposedly the birthplace of MTB, it's no wonder that they have such cool bike frames to choose from. On the other hand, some people in the US would sell their mothers for the steel track frames that you can only find in Italy, so it ends up evening itself out.
Hey Joel, a lot of nice frames you have there 👍 I have quite a unique 17 inch Team Marin Frame from 1992 made by the late Tom Teesdale and i dont know what to do with it. My problem is that the paint on the chainstay is chewed up and it has some surface rust. Would it be best to only have the paint on the chainstay restored/redone or should I get a professional to paint the whole bike? I would much prefer the latter as it is a boring black with silver decals and I really like some of the other paint schemes I have seen on some of the other TET Marins out there! But it would be stupid to do if that would cause the bike to be less collectible 🤔 What would you do and how would you spec it? Thank you, from Denmark, for some great content😀
Hey Thomas, I think that if you plan to keep the bike for a long time I would go ahead and get it painted up the way you would like. Repaints can be negative to a sale price but if you get a nice cool paint job vs a basic powder coat etc the value can go up. M900 or suntour xc pro could both look great but I think the spec would have to match what ever you do with the paint.
Hi, how do I get new frame decals if I wish to add them? Thanks, I’m new to vintage bikes and just picked up a early 80s or mid 80s Schwinn Sierra mountain bike.
The white Kona frame is a super find.
Love all the lugged frames in the collection.
Ya, those old Kona's are great bikes!
Enjoy all the different frames and the information. Great video! Thanks!
Thanks!

Is a 1994 Giant Yukon worth keeping ? Also a cobalt grey Gary Fisher Tassajara (2004) .
If you enjoy riding them then they are worth keeping.
it’s a shame that Mango stumpjumper isn’t bigger
